Kathryn Ireland

Kathryn discusses working with the megastar on her romantic Hollywood home.

on Jan 1, 20130

A month went by and we were well into Season 2 when Lindsay called to ask me to come and see her new house in Beverly Hills. She was moving from Venice for lack of privacy and wanted a change. I arrived to find the most charming Gone With The Wind minature to be Lindsay’s new home. The boys were of course were intrigued to meet her, so I invited her over for a meeting and for us to talk ideas. She particularly liked my bedroom and my new collection “Summers In France.” The decor for her bedroom was easily decided upon.

For all one hears about Lindsay, and of course I am now tuned in, she has only been a pleasure to deal with. Quick and decisive (so far a dream client) and has that star quality of making everyone around her feel included. She’s crazy for Jaqueline, Now maybe that’s a good fit!!!

For the reveal and more on the episode, please tune in for this episode and the season’s finale to see the all that we get up to.

I love your show and your style. I was shocked to hear what that loser Lindsey pulled with you, not returning calls after its done.

You are way to good to be treated this way.

I hope Lohan goes to JAIL, she has it coming.

Looking forward to the next season and episode.

@kathryireland,

watched this week's show last night. how on earth could you let yourself get so emotionally involved with a troubled girl like that? hopefully your real clients won't see that episode. the last scene of the episode was just weird. bad form girlfriend. you're too good for that.

it seems like some of you MDD's, ahem, your pal JAM in particular, are going for the sympathy play. cannot imagine that will work in the real world.

luv your design sense KI.

Well I'd be a great client also if it was paid for and then refused to show up for the reveal. I came here to learn a little more about you and where your style comes from. It's unique I can say that. Don't try to hard to promote a D list actress she isn't worth it.

You are such a darling.

I love your work and you are so kind to your clients. I am happy to see you finally have a nice client, even though it's lindsay.

I can't wait to see the reveal

Kathryn, I think you are an incredible decorator - and it is no surprise that Lindsay would want you to decorate her home. However, last night's episode was difficult to watch...and I'm sure there are many others who felt that way, too. Lindsay has an outstanding tax debt and, if the gossip columns are correct, she also owes many people money. To see her making fabric, furniture, and style decisions for her new home....when she is obviously broke...was symptomatic of the many issues in her life. How sad that she has learned, at such an early age, that instant gratification doesn't hold consequences. How sad that she has bought into the idea that 'image is more important that substance - and that the illusion of wealth supercedes all. I appreciate the fact that you want to present another side of her to all of us...but please understand that we are not looking at her as a client - we are looking at her as a lost girl who still seems on a path of self-destruction. I'm sure that we will all want to know if she pays you - in full - for your services.

This is the first episode I have not watched simply because Lindsey wan on it.  Why is she getting a home remodled when  she can not even pay her income tax?  Maybe she hasn't paid you or someone else payed for her I don't know, but I do not want to her or see anymore of Lindsy Lohan.  All kinds of opportunites throw away CONSTANTLY!

well its very classy of you to defend her and Im sure your personal experience of her is pleasant. But it seems she very often messes up and I think the ending of this episode will pretty much show that being the case yet again, sadly.
