Let me just start by laughing at the fact it poured rain on the day we were filming our first open house, in a glass house. What are the chances? LOL. . .and of course, the house was leaking! At least that didn't stop the activity and we got the property sold for a record breaking price per square foot for the area.
As for the scene with Heather -- well, I feel vindicated by her decisions and actions yet again.
Since when does Heather owe it to Josh to tell her who she is doing business with. Once he decided to not include(and I do agree that it is better for their relationship) Heather as a partner in the Altman Brothers, he no longer has a right to know about her business ordeals. Do the Altman brothers report back to Heather on who they do business with? I doubt it.....she is a smart, pretty, and self made young lady who should be commended for her hard work. I also think it is ridiculous that Madison had to bring this up. Who cares if she told Josh or not. She has her own business, she is her own women and does not owe anyone anything. Why would Madison's assistant (I mean "associate") get involved in something that doesn't concern her? I was so glad to see heather jump all over the both of them....Heather and Josh seem like hard working people
I find it interesting that none of the men talk about getting permission from Heather to work with other agents. Oh yes she doesn't create wars with other agents.
Shouldn't Josh Altman ask her permission before working with one of her competitors? Oh right not even a consideration. Really boys just a bit mysogynistic ?
I'd do business with you any day. You suggest a great balance between working hard and playfulness/ enjoying life / and treating other people well. You have an enriching presence. Hope we get to go on witnessing how you do things.
Re. Heather, seemed a little crude and non-acknowledging of your having trained her, and your mutual friendship while exiting your office. i would have been very unhappy with those moves. Could have left with love or honoring you a bit. She had every right to go, of course, though. Don't know the whole story but assume she covered up trying to poach clients with whatever her announcement was about changing offices.
Wish you great luck in all and especially, in love.
I'm not a huge Heather fan, I don't dislike her but I don't really care about her either way. That said, looking at Madison's behavior with her and in other areas, I would never allow him to list my house. He seems to be emotionally immature and unprofessional. I would probably have either of the Josh's or Heather list it, at least they seem to try to work for their client and not just seem to be put out that they actually have to do some work.
Madison, get over yourself!!! Heather does not need to get permission to do her job! Somehow you are under the mistaken impression that she stabbed you in he back when she was working with you - all she asked you to expand to another area outside of Malibu - and you did not want to - so she left because she was not able to grow with your business. YOU do not like Josh Altman, that is YOUR PROBLEM!!! Grow up and start to act PROFESSIONAL-which means you DO NOT tell CLIENTS about your former business associates. You are JEALOUS that Heather is successful - something you "thought" was not possible without YOU. Guess what Mad Man Madison, she is successful in spite of you.
Hogan Teelee717 Yes...Here! Here! I feel for Heather. SHe's been totally victimized here and because of Madisons unwarranted left field hatred of ALtman for no real reason, just pure speculation on Madison's part that Altman had anything to do with Heathers split, Madison just hating without logic or reason! I actually thought Madison was way cooler than that. Apparently not! Wa-wa-wa. :(
Teelee717 You have no idea of what happened with Heather that Madison has been keeping to himself. It has been alluded to that she contacted his clients after she left. Bad form to steal clients when you leave an employer.
lynnwhitlock Teelee717 Actually, she contacted clients that she had personally worked with for a reference. She was honest about that when Madison turned it around and into Heather trying to steal his clients. I lost respect for Madison after what he did to Heather. He accused her of going behind his back to list with Altman, and then he screws her out of her portion of the commission. This was all because he doesn't like Altman. His behavior towards Heather this season has been unprofessional and childish. Success and living well is Heather's best revenge.
SMD66 Teelee717 Madison and Heather did not have a contract for her to receive commission. Madison said he did this as a bonus to her.
When you contact clients from a place you left under the guise of references you are advertising you left and asking for their business. Heather did try to take the clients away from Madison that she became acquainted with through his business. That is not very ethical.
You were wrong from the beginning. You wanted to keep her under your thumb and would not let her grow. Then you decided you would undermine her relationship, something Josh never said he would do. Move on let her do her thing and stop being petty. You are bigger and better than that.
Who are you, Henry Higgins? You act as if you pulled poor Heather off the streets and made her your assistant. Correct me if I am wrong but she was a realtor with a license who worked for you. You were her boss and you had creative differences, attacking her at an open house where you knew she was the listing agent was just sad behavior. You claim to pride yourself on your high morals and business acumen but you were way out of line on this episode. Perhaps you were still smarting from being left by Marco. Heather is an independent contract realtor which means she can list or co list with whomever she deems appropriate. She does not need the permission of anyone especially you. Move on and quit whinning on about Heather and Marco, you ae healthy and doing well, let it be.
madison is treatin Heather as she has less rights in life to be true to herself than he does. he is acting as her 'BOSS' And as she is a little nothing next to him. Hippocratic in every word.
You should thank your lucky stars that you are rid of Heather. Now, just move on. She seems to have the same "greasy" morals as Josh Altman. They are a match made in heaven. Do not waste your breath bad mouthing her or pointing out her mistakes. That will be obvious to people sooner or later.
Madison and his follows that agree with him take note!
Heather is a charming lady who came to him up front and made the request to expand with her mentor into West Los Angeles and permit her to full fill her ambitions and help him grow, that's integrity! Madison being an immature procrastinator probably afraid she'll show him up kept her hanging and hanging, so what could she do but look elsewhere! She did and her boyfriend brought her to a listing but to both Altman and Heather's surprise the seller insisted it be a co listing rather than Heather only! So what could she do but go along with it knowing she is going to share her commission with Madison. He then proceeds rather than support and appreciate her rants and raves like the child he is and makes up lies about this lovely lady before terminating her! Now her boyfriend whom I agree with on this point in formulating a realty company with his brother, correctly feels business and pleasure with the latter realizing this is his most part of his life thinks it should be kept separate which sooooo wise! So Josh Flagg unlike Madison recognizes heather's abilities as Mauricio did and this Madison along with whomever the woman was unjustly belittles her on screen making them both looking like the fools they are! And because her boyfriend feels Mauricio is a direct competitor she discontinues co listing when asked OMG is this a lady a caring lady with character, integrity and principles! Despite being treated so badly by Madison she shows up for his dog's ceremony and this is an explanation why Marco dumped you without the courtesy Heather gave you but he get's a free pass OMG! And you have such a lovely mother, don't know much about your dad to state an opinion. Madison has access to all the past episodes that I'm confident he sees and knows exactly what a nasty act he is committing that never stops! He acts like a jilted boy friend which he is but not with Heather HUMM could he be?
Att. Josh Altman: When a young man such as Josh Flagg who you point out so often comes from wealth with a negative inference and makes it big, you should be displaying nothing but the admiration he so richly deserve!
You're usually a sensible person, but you don't know what you're talking about in this case.
First off...Altman has his own company with his brother which Heather has been excluded from.
She's an independent agent from Josh now. Whether she works by herself or co-lists with someone else is her prerogative, since her jackass boyfriend has excluded her from doing business with him.
Heather should get out of that relationship now, before it's TOO late.
I agree with you about Heather getting out of that relationship before it is too late. But there is the matter of that big fat ugly engagement ring.
You can be sure that the big fat ugly engagement ring doesn't represent the "love" Josh A. has for Heather. Instead, it's another "bragging" point for Josh A.
Ide.ClairCouldn't agree more with you about Madison misguided feelings towards Heather and he can view the episodes as often as he wants if he really wants to understand, but as you can see he doesn't. I'm not exactly a fan of Josh Altman but I am of Heather very much, so if she loves him there is a lot more to the man than his exterior Bragadoshio!
Heather's in it for the money. Josh A. would "sabotage" her career in a minute, after all, no one else can be successful as Josh A.
You groomed this girl! Yes I understand you are bitter still! She never even thanked you or showed appreciation! She is turning into the female version of Josh Altman. No morales or values. All about the money and shoes and clothes. Anyway I do agree you need to move on but I can appreciate you calling her out!
jpgoose Heather was a broker in Vegas before she worked for Madison. He did not groom her...RIDICULOUS assumption. Madison tried to stop her from building her carrier. DAAA.
Calling her for trying to seal a listing for him? Speaking OF MORALS...Madison mislead the agent that he had an offer at the time he new this offer is gone...double standard? alltheway.
taniasveta jpgoose That was Josh A who mislead Madison's client that the offer was still valid on the house they wanted to purchase even though they had already closed the other house. And it is KNEW not new(if you are going to correct someone about how to spell morals you should know the proper form of Knew.
You're generally kind and ethical, but I don't understand your reaction to Heather's co-list with Josh Flagg. Her soon-to-be-husband will not let her work for him. You fired her. Is she not allowed to do business with another realtor? You and Josh Altman can't have it both ways--you don't want her working with/for you, but you don't want anyone else to work with her...you'd never let anyone do that to you.
robbiem you hit the nail on the head. he wants to see her destroyed. typical of a narcissist. Don't hold you breath Madision, you are not the guy.
robbiem Heather did unethical things when she left Madison's employ. Madison just has not wanted to elaborate the details.
lynnwhitlock robbiem Nice try. I love it when people try to defend others by claiming that there is some big secret that would convince everybody.....but they just can't tell you. You try to make it sound like Madison is just too discrete and polite to talk about what Heather supposedly did, but he never stops talking about her. If there was anything valid to complain about, he never could have kept his mouth shut about it.
No secret here,,,,,Did you not see Heather and Altman accusing Madison several times of cheating her out of commissions that she claimed to have earned that had not come in at the time she quit? All around colleagues and trying to ruin his reputation? All for greed/money.
Madison explained that he never was contractually obligated to pay Heather commission but did so as a bonus for her. No one gets a bonus after they leave their place of employment. A bonus is to encourage hard work. She and Altman were demanding something that she had no right to get. And you can bet if they had a legal leg to stand on they would be in court.
Madison, I support you 100%. But let's face it, she does not get it. So, move on because it is not making you look good. Even though she was at fault in doing what she did, you have to let it go and eventually someone will open her eyes and make her realize her bad judgment...clearly you are not that person. But what comes around goes around and maybe she will learn when someone does it to her. In the meantime, stay cool.
Madison, the fact the you equate the relationship you had with Heather with that of hers and Josh's relationship tells every rational person how off base you are in this scenario. The fact that you cannot see the difference is true indicator of your maturity and intelligence. You are a narcissist with delusions of grandeur.
Any reasonable person could see that the boyfriend was not that into you. Only you did not see it because you think you are so 'special'. Now he is the bad guy, until you went to mexico. I do not expect anything to happen with that 'deal', then you will say it has something to do with someone else other than you.
Hogan Your right on! Marco treated Madison as he deserves as Heather didn't by any stretch of the imagination! But Marco get's a free pass and Heather nothing but ignorant abuse!
Hogan Madison and Heather had a professional relationship as fellow real estate colleagues. Just as she claims to have with Altman while doing business. So yes they did have similar relationships although Madison and Heather actually worked closely together while Altman and Heather do not seem to cross paths much.
Madison, although you may be vindicated, you lost all control of the situation and made yourself look bad. It seems that you still are hurt very deeply by the rupture of your relationship with Heather and it comes out ten fold when you are in front of her. You need to find a place of true forgiveness in order for you to heal and be able to conduct yourself civilly and professionally when you are in front of Heather. You need to forgive her and forgive yourself.
It was NOT a conflict of interest & just why do you care Or think it is any of your business? And why are u picking on Heather? Why not Altman......are you aware of all of HIS business dealings? Are you policing those as well? Are there any violations on HIS part? Oh wait--you don't know. And that 'old lady' you were standing next too? Like she was the expert & knew what she was talking about? Oh wow!
I like you Madision, but this was a BIG sleaseball move on your part.
Seriously Madison, let it go! Heather's business and how she handles it is not your concern. I like you and think you are sweetheart but let this go, you are wasting time trying to prove you are right and that's an Altman move.
I was going to write that, but you beat me to it.
I will add...I don't remember Madison being blamed for anything that he would need to be vidicated for now. (?)
ESinAZ Danny83 Just being stupid for not working with Heather and keeping her on his team. He had to be the control freak and say no to the expansion she suggested. He had his chance and if he had done that they would still be friends. He was a jerk.
"it is what it is." What a dim response to anything. I understand Madison is making a point because he and Heather had a close relationship that ended badly. He is pointing out repeated behavior. I think it was OK, and I also think Heather heard him/..... at least I hope she did. I wish he would make a clean break with Heather, but I don't see how that can happen since they are both working Malibu and are bound to run into each other. I like Madison very much, and I don't much care for Josh Altman and Heather. I thought the ring Josh bought her was gaudy and just plain hideous, but I hope she likes it because he was so pleased with himself for picking it out.
rzanna nowonder yoo like Madison. They way you talk about the ring shows your need to put some negative energy. Ring is amazing...The stone in the center looks stunning...and all the diamonds around nicely complement it without overwhelming it. BEAUTIFUL RING!!!
rzanna Heather is at will to team with anyone she chooses. Altman knows that, he just doesn't happen to like Josh. Heather is not part of the Altman Bros - no harm and no foul and Altman understands that. Heather's behavior now has nothing to do with what happened between she and 'M'. Heather told 'M' she would have to break of from his team if he did not let her help expand the business into Bev Hills. Simple as that, 'M' made the choice, she just proceeded to do what he told him she would do.
rzanna Madison still acts as if he is in control of Heather life and still his boss. He keeps on lecturing her with a bossy attitude and complete joy of making her uncomfortable just because she is a woman trying to make in the men-territory. For Madison not to see how much Heather is without him is the best indication of his aggravation with his own limited intellect.
It is amazing how people have misunderstood the whole intent of the conversation. It was not an effort on the part of Madison to "control" her actions. He was merely pointing out a repeated behavior on Heather's part, the same behavior she used towards him. She has learned nothing at all. At this point, though, I think Madison needs to stop trying with Heather and go on about his business. She isn't worth the effort on his part. I feel like reminding that she was the one who showed up at his dog's memorial and then boo-hooed about his not calling after she showed good will. I think he was really into breaking off contact. He needs to keep following through. She needs to focus on her boy friend and the big fat ugly ostentatious ring that he is about to give her.
