Josh & Heather Altman Have Very Different Feelings About Selling Their House

The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles couple opened up about making a major personal real estate decision.

Welcome to Josh Altman's New Bright White, Marble Kitchen

As you can see in the video above, Josh Altman and Heather Altman put a great deal of time, effort, and money into creating what is now their dream home. However, on the January 12 episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh was considering saying goodbye to the Beverly Hills house when he received a very appealing offer.

How to Watch

“My house is not on the market,” he explained in an interview. “But there is no inventory where I live, so every once in a while, an agent calls me, says, ‘I got a buyer,’ and if my house fits the criteria, I say, ‘I can show it to you and I’ll send you pictures.’”

When Josh told Heather about the $13.8 million offer on their home, which the couple purchased for $6.7 million in 2018, she wasn’t thrilled. “Fully executed written offers don’t just come out of nowhere, just magically appear in front of us,” she said in an interview. “Especially at the price that we’re talking about. Like, you had an intention to go sell our house. I can see right through it, babe. I know what you’re up to. I know what you did.”

As the couple continued to discuss the idea, Heather explained, “We’re talking about having one or two more kids, and then throw me into having to pack up our house, move, redo a house, [and] uplift the family to make a little bit more money. I’m not gonna consider it.” Although Josh said in an interview that he understood where Heather was coming from, he wasn’t in agreement on giving up the “great deal.”

After more discussion, Heather agreed to go look at houses. As they toured John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s former home, Heather admitted the “sexy and sultry” house had “one of the best closets” she had seen, but ultimately, they decided not to move forward. “The more I’m seeing her reaction, I’m realizing that it’s not the right move,” Josh said. “Our home, that’s our special place. Our memories we’re making with our families and our kids. I don’t think that’s something you can just replace.”

In a December 2022 interview with BravoTV.com, Heather shared more about her feelings about Josh’s attempts to sell their home. “It’s one thing that I’ve had to learn to live with, being married to Josh Altman, is that everything is always for sale, including our house,” she said. “Literally the day that we moved in, after I did a two-year renovation and [was] about to give birth to our second child in three weeks, when we first moved into this house, he was already showing it for sale. So, you know, at this point it’s just laughable for me to go through the process.”

“I let him do his thing,” she said, “because I’ve got to sign the paperwork too.”
