Sophia Hutchins Finally Speaks Out About Her Relationship With Caitlyn Jenner and Now We Have More Questions Than Ever
The two share a business, a home, a dog and a life.
Caitlyn Jenner, 68, and Sophia Hutchins, a 22-year-old transgender woman who is the executive director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, a transgender rights organization created in 2017, have been evasive about the nature of their relationship for quite some time despite frequent public, red carpet and social media appearances together that would seem to paint them as a couple.
“We are not going to get into that,” Caitlyn told Variety, which concluded they "sound like a couple," in August. “But we are very close. We do a lot of things together. We’re kind of inseparable. We’re the best of friends.”
Sophia, who is the same age as Caitlyn's daughter Kendall Jenner, was asked on the Hidden Truth podcast when the relationship with Caitlyn became romantic.
"You know, I wouldn't describe it as a romantic relationship," she replied. "I would describe our relationship as we're partners. We're business partners, I'm the executive director of her foundation. We have so much in common. We see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other. She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow. I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it's just a great match, a great partnership."
Podcast host Jim Breslo said that there was an "elephant in the room" and that people wanted to know more about Sophia and Caitlyn's relationship.
"I don't think it's that important. I think that it's unfortunate that the media has fixated on, is it romantic or is it not? I don't think we need to talk about is it romantic or not. We're partners in everything we do. We're inseparable. We're business partners. We live together. We share a dog. We share family. We share a life together. But as far as caving in to the media and having one of us label it as something, we're not going to do that."
Breslo asked Sophia if she and Caitlyn are engaged.
"If I was engaged, I would announce that I was engaged," she said. "If Caitlyn and I were to be engaged, we would announce that. We're not ashamed about our relationship at all, but we do like to have some privacy and that's something that we would decide when the time was right to announce."
So, wedding bells in their future?
