Austen Kroll Clarifies His Comments About Brett Randle's Appearance — and Madison Has Thoughts
The Southern Charm cast member reflects on his shady comments about ex Madison LeCroy's husband during Part 1 of the Season 9 reunion.
Austen Kroll wants to clear up his previous comments about Brett Randle's appearance.
After the Southern Charm cast member's (rather awkward) first time meeting Madison LeCroy's husband at their marriage celebration on the show's Season 9 premiere, Austen didn't hold back his thoughts on Brett. "I thought that this guy was going be like a Greek god," Austen said in an episode interview. "Seriously, what does this guy have that I don't have?"
On Part 1 of the Season 9 reunion, which aired on January 11, host Andy Cohen said to Austen, "You got a lot of blowback for your comment about Brett that he was not as good-looking as Madison made him out to be."

When Andy asked if he wanted to defend himself, Austen immediately said yes. "I just meant that he was just like a normal, you know, lovely guy," he explained.
Naturally, Madison had some thoughts on the matter, but as she explained, neither she nor Brett was bothered by the comment. "I will say after Brett met Austen — this isn't a dig to you — but he knew there was nothing to worry about," she said.
After Andy declared with a laugh, "That's not not a dig," Madison concluded, "Let's just say [Brett is] confident."
How Austen Kroll feels about Brett Randle
In addition to calling Brett "lovely" at the reunion, Austen had more kind words to share about Madison's husband on a May 2023 episode of his podcast, Pillows and Beer. While speaking to Madison, who was a guest on the episode, and co-host Craig Conover, Austen said, "Madison's married, and I'm happy for you... And your husband is wonderful."
Earlier that month, Madison documented a run-in that she and Brett had with Austen at a local bar. In her Instagram Story at the time, she showed Brett walking up to Austen and giving him a tap on the back. Austen shook his hand before asking, “Where’s your wife at?” as Brett pointed to Madison, who continued to film just several feet away. “Oh, Madison!" Austen said with a smile. "What?!”
“Can’t lie this made me laugh,” Madison captioned the clip, which Austen reposted to his Instagram Story and wrote, “Too good...We all just had a good laugh.”
