Austen Kroll and Taylor Ann Green Address Their Past Kiss Drama at BravoCon 2023
Plus, Shep and Olivia revealed if they would ever date during an emotional panel at BravoCon 2023.
Austen Kroll and Taylor Ann Green may have been on the same page when they initially agreed not to tell their respective exes, Olivia Flowers and Shep Rose, about their secret kiss on Southern Charm Season 9, but the two could not be any less in sync now.
During the "It's All About to Go South" panel at BravoCon 2023, Taylor and Austen discussed their kiss drama, and it's clear that the two will not be seeing eye to eye on the matter any time soon. Plus, Madison LeCroy revealed why she thinks Shep and Olivia would make a good couple.
Austen Kroll and Taylor Ann Green Discuss Their Kiss Drama
In case you need a refresher on the drama, ahead of filming for Season 9, Taylor and Austen shared a kiss. Because they decided to remain friends instead of exploring their romantic connection any further, the pair chose not to tell the rest of the group about what happened.
Taylor kept the news from her close pal, Olivia, even when she was directly asked about it. However, Austen came clean to Shep when the two had a one-on-one chat on Season 9, Episode 5. During the aforementioned panel, Taylor revealed why she felt "blindsided" by Austen's confession.
"I try to laugh everything off at this point..." she said. "I wanted to come out with the truth from the very get-go, and that wasn't the case. And he's sitting there going, 'I'm feeling liberated' and I was like, 'Well, I'm glad you feel liberated, because I feel like a piece of poop.' So, anyways, but, hopefully, everything just comes out in the wash."
Austen defended telling Shep about the kiss, telling Taylor, "You had a decision earlier in the night. I can't tell you what to do... My friend came to me and asked me. What was I supposed to do? Just lie to Shep's face? Was I supposed to lie to Shep? Was I supposed to lie to him again?"
"Well, I lied to Olivia's face," Taylor responded. "It would have eventually come out regardless."
Austen agreed, and added, "So I'm supposed to lie to him, go and talk to Taylor, and then come back?"
"That's what you told Taylor to do," Oliva interjected.
Would Shep Rose and Olivia Flowers Ever Date?
Elsewhere in the panel, Madison shared that she's tried to play matchmaker for neighbors Shep and Olivia.
"I already told him that," she said about how she thinks the two would make a good couple. "I told him, 'Just start making out with Oliva.' He goes, 'I wouldn't say no.'"
How did Olivia and Shep react to Madison's bold claim?
Shep joked, "I don't say no often," while Olivia said that she doesn't see it happening.
"I don't usually tread in the area of friends' exes," she explained.
