Cameran Eubanks: Why My Husband Isn't on 'Southern Charm'
The star also opens up about whether she'll start a family.
Is it possible for a reality star to get married and for no one to know about it? Southern Charm's Cameran Eubanks is proving that it is! The reality TV veteran, who first starred in The Real World: San Diego ten years ago, knows how to handle the cameras and one of her steadfast rules is keeping some aspects of her life very private. And that includes her recent marriage.
"With Southern Charm, I’ve actually tried to be very careful to not have my personal life be included. I’m married now—my husband and I got engaged after Season 1 wrapped. I’ve purposefully chosen to keep that out of the picture because I think people who put their personal life on TV are kind of nuts," she divulges to WetPaint. "Nine times out of 10 it doesn’t end up working out."
But even though her husband will continue to stay off-camera, he remains very supportive of the show. "He loves it! He’s totally supportive and loves the show, he thinks it’s great," Cameran says. "But he has a pretty serious career going [as a doctor], so I don’t blame him for wanting to stay out of the realm of reality television."
So now that love and marriage are locked up, is a baby carriage in the couple's future? "That’s obviously something you think of once you get married. He’s more ready than I am. I am definitely not pregnant now, I can tell you that," Cameran reveals.
"[I have] no real desire anytime soon," she adds. "I’m waiting for that feeling to kick in, when you feel the urge to. It just hasn’t kicked in—and it might not ever, you never know. Before we got engaged, I sat down with him and said, ‘I have no desire to have a child right now, there might be a big possibility I might never want to have a child, I just want to make sure you’re not going to leave me if I don’t give you a kid.’ And he told me he would not, so let’s hope he sticks to that!"
