Fans of The Real Housewives of Miami know Alexia Nepola as a self-described "Cuban Barbie," a protective mama bear to her two sons, Peter and Frankie, and a new wife to husband Todd Nepola.

But before she was a Real Housewife, Alexia lived in Cuba and Spain before putting down roots in Miami. She worked in education before transitioning to a career in magazines, and later became a salon owner. She was also married twice — first to Pedro Rosello and then to Herman Echevarria — before tying the knot with Todd in 2021.

Alexia was born in Cuba, but she lived in Europe as well. She finished her last year of high school and first two years of college in Madrid, Spain.

Here's proof that the "Cuban Barbie" was always glamorous. In the photo above, Alexia posed in a stunning white gown with ruffled statement sleeves and a mermaid-style bodice.

After Spain, Alexia returned to Miami to earn her B.A. and a Master's Degree in Exceptional Student Education.

She taught children with learning and emotional disabilities in the Miami-Dade County Public School system, from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.

Later, her career took a glamorous turn when she led Venue Magazine, a high-end national lifestyle Latin publication.

As we have seen on RHOM, Alexia is a dedicated mother. Her first husband, Pedro “Peter” Rosello, is the father to both her boys.

Her oldest son Peter was born in 1992, and Frankie was born in 1996, shortly before Alexia and her husband divorced.
