Craig Conover Shares an Update on His Mental Health

The Charleston resident posted several Instagram Stories of him doing various exercises, including spider curls and chest presses, at the gym on December 21. Afterwards, Craig sat on his porch and talked about how it had been difficult for him to get out of bed that morning.

"Getting vertical today was very difficult," he said in one Instagram Story. "I just wanted to pop in and share part of my story, a little bit. But, I didn't know it until years ago, but I sometimes go through little bouts of depression. But, I've learned how to fight them, and, this morning was really tough going from horizontal to vertical, and that's all it really takes for me. I'm luckier than most.

As Craig went on to say, "getting vertical" helps him to feel ready to take on the day.

"I know that I like how I feel after I go to the gym so much more than the person I am if I don't go, and I have so much to do today, that I was like, 'Just get up and go.' And so, I got up and started to walk around a little bit, and as soon as I got downstairs, I was like, 'Alright, let's do it, let's do it,'" he continued. "Anyway, I'm just saying that sometimes it's really hard. I hit the snooze button for like an hour and 15 minutes [and] really put it off, but I finally got up, I went to the gym, and now I'm getting my stuff done."

Craig noted that "doing physical activity in the morning change[d] [his] entire life."

Once he was ready to take on the rest of his busy day, Craig also shared a few updates on his pillow business, Sewing Down South.

Craig Conover Reveals How Paige DeSorbo Inspired Him at Sewing Down South

Shortly after Craig offered his followers a mental health update, he re-posted a photo of a truck stacked with boxes from Sewing Down South.

"Sew many gifts heading out for the holidays," the post read. Craig then shared some last-minute gift ideas for the holidays from his store.

He first offered a look at a dinosaur pillow case, before showing his followers a glimpse at a white pillowcase featuring a pair of ballet slippers on the front. He revealed that his New York City-based girlfriend inspired the design.

"Look at these beautiful ballet slippers; this was Paige's idea," Craig said in an Instagram Story showcasing the design. "She thought we needed something cute for the girls' rooms in your lives."
