Erika Jayne Reveals How She Supports Kyle Richards Amid Separation from Mauricio Umansky: "Look It’s Hard"

It’s safe to say that the diamond holders are sticking together no matter how tough things get. On Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, viewers got a glimpse at Kyle Richards’ perspective on her marital issues with her husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Ultimately, the couple made the decision to go their separate ways after 27 years of marriage. Fans witnessed the bombshell play out in the Season 13 finale, including when the RHOBH ‘Wives learned about the shocking news.
One of the first people to aid Kyle through the heartache was Erika Jayne, who went through a similar experience in 2019 when she separated from Tom Girardi. “It’s important for me to be here for Kyle because she was always good to me,” the Bet It All on Blonde star said in a confessional during Season 13, Episode 17 of RHOBH.

During her appearance on the talk show, Erika was quipped if she was rallying around Kyle considering her ongoing separation. “Of course, I mean Kyle is a friend of mine on television and off television,” Erika said.
The blonde beauty continued to explain how “hard” it can be sharing your life onscreen but reassured that she’ll always be in Kyle’s corner.
“Look it’s hard to the show, your life is entertainment and when your life breaks apart, it hurts double time,” Erika shared. “So of course, I’m just going to be there for her.”

Erika also weighed in on her love life, revealing that she is looking for romance again. When asked what qualities she likes in a man, Erika admitted: “Just somebody that’s actually really just a nice person.”
She continued: “I like intelligent men. I like somebody that [I] can actually talk to and have a good time. And I like to smile and laugh."

Relationships weren’t the only topics Erika discussed. The RHOBH ‘Wife also shared her take on filming the dramatic Season 13 reunion.
“I think that it really kind of depends on what type of season you’ve had,” she explained. “For me, this was a very positive swing… Look, it’s not a good day. If you’re having fun at a reunion, you’re not really doing your job because it’s supposed to be a little anxiety ridden.”
