Gigi Hadid Lands Her First 'Vogue' Cover
The supermodel hits yet another major career milestone.
So what have you been up to in 2015? Gigi Hadid? Well, not even two months into the new year and she's just happened to be named as the new face of Maybelline, to shoot a spread for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, to make a cameo in boyfriend Cody Simpson's new music video, and to land her very first Vogue cover. You know, NBD.
The supermodel graces the March 2015 cover of Vogue Spain, leading Yolanda Foster to utilize her favorite #ProudMommy hashtag. "I am so excited I just can't hide it," Yolanda wrote on Instagram. "Congrats my sweet angel on your first Vogue cover."
And in case you think it's just one Hadid sister taking the fashion world by storm, Yolanda also posted another #ProudMommy moment with her youngest daughter, Bella Hadid, doing a Louis Vuitton spread for LOVE magazine.
Yolanda has been careful to cultivate the right attitude for both of her daughters in preparation for success in the cutthroat world of fashion. "They were not allowed to work until they were 17, until you knew who they are," she has explained in the past. "And I told them to work hard."
"There is a lot of negativity in the industry, but you can turn it to positive—take it as constructive criticism," Bella added. "[My mom] wanted us to develop as human beings, rather than to be afraid of being judged only by the exterior."
