Heartbroken Man Takes to Social Media to Find His Con Artist Wife

But everything is not what it seems...

By Laura Rosenfeld
A Message from Ezra Bloom...

What would you do if your spouse disappeared — and stole absolutely everything from you before she vanished? Well, you'd take to social media to track her down, obviously.

That's unfortunately what happened to Ezra Bloom, who returned home from work one day to discover that his whirlwind romance with his wife was nothing but a fraud. Scrolling through Ezra's Facebook timeline to see photos of his fairytale wedding to his last post where he wrote "YOU CAN’T TRUST ANYONE" is just downright heartbreaking.

Ezra explained the whole sordid tale on a Tumblr set up to find his ex. "I am starting this Tumblr page to share my story with you all, and hopefully spread the word about this crazy situation," Ezra explained on his Tumblr titled, "Help Me Find My Wife." "I alone won’t be able to find my wife, but with your help, I am hoping to track her down and get answers."

Ezra has also been traveling the country in search of his wife, from his home state of Indiana to New York to Boston. He even took out billboards and newspaper ads in an effort to grab his ex's attention, which you can see photos of on the Tumblr and in his Twitter profile set up to find his spouse.

Guess what? Ezra isn't a real person — he's actually a character in our upcoming scripted series Imposters, and these social media profiles are a way for you to get to know a little bit about the character and his plight before the sexy, new drama premieres on Tuesday, February 7 at 10/9c.

Everything that we described above really does happen to Ezra (Rob Heaps) in Imposters. In the premiere of the series, his wife, Ava (Inbar Lavi), suddenly disappears one day with her final message to Ezra, revealing that she is actually a persona-shifting con artist who robbed him of all of his money. If he goes to the police or tries to find her, not only will he fail, but she also threatens to expose all of his deep, dark family secrets.

As you can see, Ezra is determined to track his ex, who actually goes by the name of Maddie. Along the way, he teams up with two of Maddie's other scorned lovers, Richard (Parker Young) and Jules (Marianne Rendón), in order to do so. All the while, sparks begin to fly between Maddie and Patrick (Stephen Bishop) while she's pursuing a new target, so if you thought things were crazy before, just you wait.

Get to know more about Ezra's story by clicking around his social media profiles, including Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Find out more about what's ahead this season of Imposters, below.
