João Franco Just Hit the "PEAK" of His Yachting Career
The Below Deck Med alum "will never forget" this yachting advice from Captain Sandy Yawn.
João Franco has reached a new “peak” in his career. The Below Deck Mediterranean alum recently took to Instagram to open up about his latest yachting gig as a captain on a new boat.
On July 26, João shared an update on his career on Instagram. In the photo, the yachtie can be seen standing behind the steering wheel of a boat while the sun rises over the sea in front of him.
“The reality of this pic is that it’s 6am, we’re underway, all new crew, all tired and we have performed MIRACLES to make this all happen thus far. You wouldn’t believe the demands that we have fulfilled so far! and it’s only the beginning,” he wrote in the caption of the photo.
He went on to add, “But…, this is the PEAK of my career and the highest point I could possibly be with the qualifications I have! And being given a chance to start afresh with a BRAND new boat (literally one of the very few of its kind), new system, lovely management company is a dream come true. now.., let’s get through the season!!!
In a separate post on July 28, João also recalled some of the most valuable advice he got from Captain Sandy. “I feel like I’ve gained 2 years knowledge in the past 5 days!! #belowdeck could have made an entire season on here already since the day I joined!,” he joked, going on to add, “In the back of my mind I hear @captainsandrayawn saying, ‘keep your eyes looking outside!’ some advice I will never forget now that I am responsible for all!”
He concluded, “Still smiling though while I do my first short over-night crossing in this beauty. what an adventure it has been.”
