Andy Cohen and Bravolebs React to Kandi Burruss' RHOA Departure: "One of the Greats"

Kandi Burruss announced on February 4 that she's leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 14 seasons on the cast.

"I decided I’m not coming back this year," Kandi told Variety while walking the red carpet at the 2024 Grammy Awards. "I’m going to take a break, I’m going to take a moment… I’m not coming back this year."

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host took to Instagram on February 5 to share a photo of him and Kandi together as well as several throwback pics from over the years. "What can I say about [Kandi]? One of the greats! A superstar! What a run!" Andy captioned the post, adding "worldwide" and "RHOA" hashtags as well. 

Kandi went on to repost Andy's tribute to her Instagram Story, writing, "[Andy] is [and] always will be near [and] dear to my heart!"

She also commented, "I love you Andy!" on his post, where other Bravolebs continued to share kind words for her.

Andy Cohen Pays Tribute to Kandi Burruss' Bravo Legacy

Andy also shared a lengthy tribute to Kandi's "unbelievable run" on RHOA during the Feb. 5 episode of his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy

"She has been one of my favorite people to work with in my whole time, first as an exec at Bravo and then as an EP of the Housewives, and then just hosting Watch What Happens Live," Andy said after reflecting on her journey from Season 2 to today. "She impacted not only the show but she impacted the way that we do business behind the scenes, and that is powerful."

He went on to detail Kandi's impact and thanked her for her contributions. What's more, Andy also shared that he told Kandi she could always "drop back in, in a year or two." 

Kandi shared a video of Andy's remarks to her Instagram, reiterating her "love" for him in the caption.

The Bravo Universe's Reaction to Kandi Burruss Leaving RHOA

A majority of Bravo stars reacted to Kandi's RHOA departure in the comments of Andy's initial post, including alum Cynthia Bailey, who dubbed her former castmate "the people’s champ." 

The Real Housewives of Miami's Guerdy Abraira and The Real Housewives of Dubai's Lesa Milan shared a similar sentiment, as they both labeled Kandi a "queen." 

The Real Housewives of Potomac's Candiace Dillard Bassett, meanwhile, commended Andy for his "worldwide" reference, writing, "Worldwide, INDEED!"

Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant also praised Kandi, with the latter proudly dubbing Kandi "a straight shooter."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards, The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Melissa Gorga, Chanel Ayan, and Kiki Barth were among those to leave equally kind comments on Andy's post.

More tributes poured in on Kandi's Instagram post about "all the blessings" she's "manifesting," including one from Kenya Moore, who commented with an "icon" hashtag.
