What Nicky Hilton Rothschild Really Thinks About Kathy Hilton’s RHOBH Stardom

The June 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen was a family affair. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Crystal Kung Minkoff was joined by several members of the Richards-Hilton family, including fellow guest Kathy Hilton, her daughter-slash-the guest bartender for the night, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, as well as RHOBH OG-slash-WWHL audience member-slash-Kathy's little sister, Kyle Richards.

It definitely made for a funny and revealing night that included lots of dish about Kathy's life, and, of course, splits provided by Kyle. But. That. Wasn't. All.

During Nicky's appearance on the show, she revealed how she really felt about her mom joining RHOBH as a friend in Season 11. And, believe us, she had feelings. "Do you want me to admit something I've never admitted in my life, besides to my husband? When I found out, I cried," Nicky said on Wednesday's episode of WWHL. "I've come around, but I cried."

You can hear more from Nicky about the subject and if she's ever watched the show by pressing play on the video, above.

We have a bit more intel to share with you about Kathy's kids, as she also recently chatted about how her famous daughters reacted to her joining RHOBH. "They weren't too happy about me joining. Now, they're OK," she told The Daily Dish podcast earlier this season, adding that, after it was confirmed, "They were calling me, and then I just kind of avoided them for a couple days because I didn't know; I was embarrassed, but I got caught. So, I felt like the child, you know. The roles reversed. But we're, we're good now. We're OK."

As for if she came to her kids for any advice on living her life in front of the cameras, Kathy shared in a separate interview with The Daily Dish: "I didn't ask my daughters because I wanted to kind of keep that away from them because I wasn't really sure if I was going to do it or not. It was touch, go, touch, go, yes, no, no, maybe, whatever. So they were the last people to find out. And they weren't too thrilled. And I'm like, 'I am the mother here. You girls are not going to tell me what to do.'"

In the end, Kathy shared with The Daily Dish that she enjoyed the experience. "And so it was fun for me because it was the first time I ever felt free in my life. It was freeing. It was a freeing experience," she said.

Kathy also noted that appearing on the show gave her the chance to spend more time with her sister, Kyle. "It was a wonderful experience," she said, adding, "I went on a few different times [previously], but it was always in a very serious way. I think the fans always thought I was a bitch or something, you know? I just thought this is an opportunity to spend some time with Kyle."
