The Real Housewives of New York City alum recently joined the likes of Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon in St. Barts for Peacock’s new season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy

Although she made the RHUGT flight to St. Barts, the mom of two actually loves a good road trip. In an interview with The Daily Dish, Kristen shared her upcoming holiday plans — as well as what her family thinks about her filming another Bravo show.

What does Kristen Taekman's husband think about her joining The Real Housewives again?

Kristen is married Josh Taekman, her husband of 18 years. Their wedding was in October 2005, and since then, they have had two kids together: Cash, 15, and Kingsley, 11.

Kristen told The Daily Dish her family feels “good” about her coming back to film, although she did add, “I don’t think the kids really care.”

Kristen left RHONY after filming Seasons 6 and 7.

Kristen Taekman's Holidays Plans with Her Family

As much as Kristen enjoyed her holiday in the sun, she's now looking toward the future. The family of four already have their holiday plans set, according to Kristen.

“I’ll be skiing in Aspen,” Kristen said. “We drive. I’m a road tripper.”

Kristen and her family left New York for the West Coast years ago, so they make the trip to Colorado from Los Angeles.

“We do stop in St. George, Utah,” Kristen said. “It’s the cutest little town. We have this beautiful little hotel that we stay at so we split it up. We’ll do seven hours, seven hours.”

She likes to have all of her things with her when traveling, as do her little ones.

“The kids are like, 'Can I bring this? Can I bring this?' Put it in the car!” Kristen laughed. "'Will it fit? Can I bring this pillow? Bring the pillow. How many boots?' Bring them all!”

For the trip, they load up the car and stay in a hotel Kristen warmly describes as "quaint."

“You drive through a desert and there's nothing and all of a sudden there's the tiny, cutest little town and they have this really quaint little bed-and-breakfast-y hotel that we stay at with a farm-to-table restaurant in the middle of nowhere,” Kristen said. “We get off the road. Eat. Wake up the next day and then you’re in Aspen by lunch.”

Kristen has been skiing since she was 3 years old, she added.

The holidays are a great time of year for her to travel because she gets to take advantage of time off for school for her kids.

“There’s no soccer over those 14 days,” Kristen explained.

It’s not the only holiday fun she's had with her kids so far. Kristen posted a stop at Rockefeller Center in New York, where she took her kids ice skating at the iconic rink, joking in the Instagram video: “How am I more excited than these kids?”
