Meet Marysol Patton's Husband Steve McNamara

A new husband joined The Real Housewives of Miami in Season 4 and 5. Read all about him now.

By Sophie Vilensky

In case you missed the heat, The Real Housewives of Miami returned to screens in 2021 for Season 4 after an eight-year hiatus (and will be back for Season 6). Naturally, lots changed in the years since we first checked in with the ladies of Miami — relationship statuses included.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Miami on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Take, for example, original Housewife Marysol Patton. When fans met Marysol in 2011, she was dating her then-future husband, Philippe Pautesta-Herder. After divorcing Philippe in 2012, she returned to RHOM Season 4 (as a Friend!) with a new man: Steve McNamara, who loves cocktails, aka "cockies," as much as she does.

"After a three year hiatus healing I met my love and my new hubby, Steve," Marysol said during Season 4 Episode 1. "He fills my heart. He makes me laugh. We're like identical twin souls."

Who is Steve McNamara?

While he pops up on RHOM from time to time, Steve is fairly private... which is to say his online presence is locked down. In Season 4 Episode 8 of The Real Housewives of Miami, Marysol revealed the contractor is half Australian... though she couldn't remember where exactly his family was from.

If there's one thing to know about Steve, it's that he's a supportive husband who makes his wife very happy.

"I just want to make sure that he stays healthy and I stay healthy so we can keep continuing to be together and enjoy each other’s company," Marysol said in a February 2022 interview with Bravo Insider.

How did Marysol Patton and Steve McNamara meet?

According to a Page Six report, Marysol and Steve met about a year before their April 2021 nuptials, but were never formally engaged. "They have been stuck like glue since they met," a source shared with the website.

In the 2022 interview with Bravo Insider mentioned above, Marysol opened up about how she knew Steve was the one. In true Mama Elsa fashion, the Bravolebrity had a feeling her late parents had something to do with the connection.

"Well, I think last time, the last two times, I made the choices. This time my parents made the choice for me," she shared. "And every day, I’m like, 'Man, Mom, Dad, you nailed it. You guys nailed it.' I would, probably, would have never picked him, but there was a greater force in the universe at work. I know that I’m with the right person. He’s very kind and good to me. He knows how to be a husband."

When did Steve McNamara marry Marysol Patton?

Steve and Marysol wed in April 2021 with a sweet ceremony in Tulum, Mexico. In July 2023, they renewed their vows at Ardgowan Castle in Scotland

“My mom predicted I would get married again and again and again. So I am — to Steve!” Marysol told People while discussing their vow renewal. “We are already planning the next one, and it's going to be fabulous.”
