"It's a Flesh-Eating Bacteria": LeeAnne Locken Opens Up About Her Health Scare

The #RHOD pal is still recovering.

On Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Dallas

Things got real serious real fast in the supertease for this season of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Toward the end of the preview, which you can view above, we hear LeeAnne Locken say to a stunned Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman, "It's a flesh-eating bacteria."

How to Watch

Catch up on The Real Housewives of Dallas on Peacock or the Bravo App.

Now LeeAnne is opening up more about contracting a painful flesh-eating bacteria in early December in a recent interview with PEOPLE. “It was the worst health scare I’ve ever had in my entire life,” she shared. “It took me three months to kill that thing. I was sleeping 18 hours a day, I couldn’t get out of bed. My veins were collapsing from dehydration. I was at the doctor three times a week. I had to shower twice a day and dry off with a sponge. And took topical and oral medication daily. It was just an exhausting experience. I knew it was not right the second I got it, but I couldn’t have imagined how bad it would be.”

LeeAnne also told PEOPLE that her internal injuries are "just starting to recover."

That "flesh-eating bacteria" line wasn't the only moment in the RHOD supertease that left us scratching our heads. We've also been dying to know why LeeAnne will be wearing a hot dog costume this season. Seriously.

Luckily, all of that will become clear in Monday night's episode at 10/9c. Check out a sneak peek, below.
