Are Shep Rose & Jarrett "JT" Thomas Friends After Beefing About Taylor? We Examine the Evidence
Shep and JT had a lot of feelings about Taylor Ann Green in Southern Charm Season 9, but does this new Instagram signify a change in their dynamic?
Shep Rose and Jarrett "JT" Thomas experienced their differences during Southern Charm Season 9 when JT expressed feelings for Shep's ex, Taylor Ann Green. Yet, the two men have appeared to become friendly in spite of it all. Shep took to Instagram recently, where he revealed that he went on a fishing excursion with JT and their fellow Southern Charm cast member, Craig Conover.
The men appeared to be focused on their fresh catches rather than the drama between them. There's nothing like a fishing trip to bring people together.

Shep posted a carousel of photos of the three of them during their fishing trip. In the first photo posted to the feed, JT can be seen with his arms around Shep and Craig's shoulders, smiling widely into the camera, while Shep holds a massive fish. In another, JT stands on the boat while looking down at Shep admiringly with the fish in his hands. Craig was also able to get in a catch, too.
"It was the bottom of the ninth. No men on. Down a run," Shep wrote in the caption of the post, comparing their fishing experience to baseball. "And we bagged two bull reds for the win." Shep noted that the charter was "a great way to start May." "Craig and JT were exemplary teammates," he added.

JT took to his Instagram story, where he reposted Shep's photos from the fishing trip and added his own commentary, revealing that this was the first time that he ever went fishing on a boat. "Had no idea Shep and Craig were so good at fishing," he wrote.
"I did bait a hook and that part was nerve racking and I got to use the net thing. [It] was a big relief we got to toss this big guy back to play with his friends, an iconic first boat fishing memory with some great teachers. Thanks for the invite, gents."
Are Shep Rose and JT Thomas friends?
It appears that they are friendly enough to go fishing together, which sounds like a major step in the right direction. While JT confessed his love for Shep's ex in the Southern Charm Season 9 finale — and was subsequently rejected — it seems like both men are on good terms.
During a November 30, 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, JT said that he did not think that Shep was "the most selfish guy in the group." Instead, he said some very kind words about him. "I'm gonna answer this controversially," he said. "I don't really agree with how Shep acts towards women, but I will say he has a good heart for people and he's not as big of a narcissist as he may appear."
JT's Fly Fishing Experience in Southern Charm Season 9
JT, Shep, and Craig's most recent fishing trip is a far cry from the fly fishing trip in Southern Charm Season 9 Episode 9. It was during this trip to the mountains, where JT struggled to fish, took a tumble in the river, got incredibly wet, and didn't catch anything. Perhaps this time, Shep gave him another lesson in how to catch.
"Fly fishing is supposed to be cathartic, therapeutic, contemplative maybe," JT said during a confessional in the episode. "I'm contemplating why I'm so cold, why I'm so wet, why no fish are biting, and I want to get out of these waders immediately."
