Chelsea Meissner Shares First Photo of Her Baby: "Profound Magnitude of True Love"

After welcoming her first child in 2023, the Southern Charm alum shared a photo of her little one with some updates on her life today.

By Jenny Berg

Since Chelsea Meissner welcomed her baby, she's kept the updates on her new little one to a minimum. After having her first child in 2023, the Southern Charm alum took to Instagram to share the details of her new hair health routine and provide a glimpse into what her life has been like after having the baby she'd been happily preparing for the past several months. And it was in that update that fans first found out she had given birth.

In her Instagram Stories from October 19, 2023, the hairstylist discussed a hair supplement that she has a partnership with since becoming a mom. "I am one month postpartum and one thing that I really wanted to try to stay on top of was my hair health," the new mama said. "I'm a hairstylist so I have seen it all, and I really wanted to make sure that I got on some kind of daily routine to make sure that I didn't have a whole lot of thinning [or] shedding."

It looks like the system has worked: The former Southern Charm-er looked radiant, relaxed, and as beautifully coiffed as ever in her video. And now we're getting another glimpse at her hair and the first photo of her baby.

Since then, Chelsea has shared an adorable peek at her tot via a photo she posted to Instagram in which you see a close up of the new mom's face being touched by her baby's hand. She captioned the photo that she posted on January 1, 2024: "2023.. The year I became a mother and experienced the profound magnitude of true love."

The hairstylist first announced her pregnancy back in April with an adorable Instagram video. The video showed a series of sonogram photos. And although Chelsea didn’t explicitly state whether she knew the sex of her baby, the video was paired with Jack Johnson’s song “My Little Girl.”

“I’m so fortunate to have strong women in my life who have paved the road for me to motherhood and lucky to have one hell of a man!” she wrote in her caption. “Here’s to a thick girl summer.” She also teased her due date, writing: "Arriving September 2023" to caption a sonogram image from her montage.

A couple of months later, Chelsea took to her Instagram Stories to share a snapshot of herself cradling her burgeoning baby bump. The honey-blonde beauty was glowing in a long-sleeved maxi dress with an ombré effect. She paired the breezy style with strappy beige sandals and wore her hair in lightly tousled waves.

In the months before her child's arrival, Chelsea put her fabulous decorating skills to use designing a nursery. (See more of Chelsea's interior design savvy in the clip above.)

On August 4, she took to her Instagram Stories to share a tour of the nursery in her James Island, South Carolina, home. The decor included a sweet painting of a mother cradling a child by artist Amanda Ryan Tucker. It also featured a sketch of Chelsea's beloved late pup, Tyson, by The Traveling Canvas.

A few floating shelves held up several children’s books, and more colorful paintings hung above a cozy white armchair with an ottoman. Chelsea also outfitted the space with white nightstands, faux-bird wall mounts, and Nantucket-style sconces with rattan shades.
