We Have a Major Update on Tamra Judge's Relationship with Ex-Husband Simon Barney

Tamra Judge made headlines when she reunited with her ex-husband, Simon Barney, at daughter Sophia's eighth grade dance earlier this month. Now The Real Housewives of Orange County mom is opening up about where things currently stand with her ex — and it may surprise some fans.

Tamra recently told ET that she and Simon have "actually been getting along very well" before getting emotional while discussing their reconciliation. "It’s been a long time coming but, you know, I’ve always wanted this. I've always wanted to co-parent and now we're actually doing it. I think we're at a point in our lives where we're just like, you know what? We're both happy, we went through this, it was hard but let’s make the best of it. So, we've moved on."

She then went on to describe how she and Simon were finally able to get to a good place. "We're now at a place in our lives where he’s very happy and [Eddie Judge and I are] very happy, and I think that it’s just gotten to that place where there's no fighting constantly," Tamra shared. "Like, there's nothing to fight about, because usually, when you fight, it's something personal. It's something like, you know, 'I hate you, so you're not gonna get this weekend...' or... you know? It's very normal with breakups."

Since Tamra and Simon officially divorced in 2011, they have faced some challenges in keeping their family together. Their eldest daughter, Sidney, 20, decided to live with Simon, while their son Spencer, 19, chose to live with Tamra and husband Eddie, who she married in 2013. Tamra and Simon's youngest child, Sophia, 14, splits her time between both households. (Tamra is also mom to son Ryan Vieth from a previous relationship.) 

"We have this big division in our family," Tamra told ET. "I don’t want to cry, but… our kids split. And Spencer lives with me and Eddie for the past four years, and Sidney is off at college and, you know, I think it was a real, big eye-opener to both of us, and I think that it was a time that we realized that we gotta keep it together."

Tamra and Simon seem to be doing much better than when the O.C. Housewife last shared an update on their relationship during an interview with PEOPLE in October 2018. At the time, she said co-parenting with Simon was "not good, not well," adding, "If all the kids were over 18. I mean, it's just been hard. It's a struggle."

Prior to reuniting at Sophia's eighth grade dance this month, Tamra and Simon previously came together for Sidney's high school graduation in 2017. RHOC fans got to see Spencer for the first time on the show since he was 7 years old when the family celebrated his 18th birthday in Season 13.
