As viewers have seen on Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix have been communicating through Tom's assistant, Ann Maddox, as they live together in the aftermath of their split.

In Episode 8, Ariana raised questions about Ann's "job description," and it turns out Ann was hoping Ariana would eventually be the one to decide the details of her role instead of Tom.

In the video above, which is a preview of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 9, Ariana called Ann via FaceTime and explained, "I feel like on the verge of full burnout, so I need an assistant. So, I was gonna ask if you know anybody."

With a gasp, Ann asked, "Ariana, can I be in the running, please?"

"Yes, of course," Ariana said. "Of course you can."

However, in an episode interview shown in the video, Ariana explained that while she didn't want Ann to work for Tom anymore, she wasn't sure if she could hire her given own her tumultuous situation with Tom. "Ann is just so sweet, and she deserves so much more than putting up with my ex-boyfriend," she said. "I don't know if I can be the one to do it, but somebody needs to save Ann."

Ariana explained that to Ann as well, saying, "I don't want him to get all pissed and stuff too, or be like, 'You're poaching my assistant.'"

Still, Ann declared, "I want to work for you so bad."
