Weddings can be emotional for the family and friends who gather to watch their loved ones say "I do." And that was definitely the case for Jax Taylor when he watched his BFF, Tom Schwartz, marry Katie Maloney-Schwartz last August. And, in case you were wondering, yes there was one moment during the nuptials that definitely affected the SUR bartender on a whole different level.
"Well first of all, I was disappointed I didn't get to step in and officiate 'cause I was the back-up plan and I thought I would have did a hell of a job. Not saying that Lisa [Vanderpump] didn't do a great job. She did. She did an amazing job. It was really nice. It was really nice that Lisa came and did that [and officiated the wedding]. And it was really cool to see Tom do his vows," Jax recalled to The Daily Dish. "I wasn't sure how that was going to work out 'cause Tom's not really an emotional, sentimental guy. So I even broke down when he started doing it. It was an emotional thing. It was very touching."
All in all, the Vanderpump Rules pal has nothing but love for his boss' job in helping the Maloney-Schwartz's tie the knot. "And having Lisa do the ceremony, I'd' expect nothing less -- she did an amazing job," he added.
And ahead of their big day, Jax wanted to make sure the couple was going into the marriage in the right head space. So, he offered them a bit of advice when it looked like the pre-wedding pressure was getting to them. "People [say] 'You were really adamant about saying maybe you shouldn't get married.' I wasn't saying 'Don't get married' because I don't like Katie — I love Katie and I love Tom," he said. "[I added,] 'But I also think maybe you should pump the brakes a little bit. You pushed this wedding together in six months. Most people stay engaged for a year, year-and- a-half, sometimes two years. She's getting pressure from everybody. You guys are arguing all the time; maybe you should ease off a bit and maybe take some time and think about it.'"
