Jenna Jameson Lost 57 Pounds on the Keto Diet, Feels “Happier, Smarter” and Body Positive

Former adult actress Jenna Jameson turned to the Keto diet after having her third child.

Jenna Jameson is opening up about how the Keto diet has transformed her body and mind after having her third child. The former adult actress and entrepreneur gave birth to her daughter Batel Lu in April 2017. She weighed 187 pounds and has since lost 57 pounds and maintained the loss through cutting out carbohydrates. Some of the key principles of Keto are excluding sugar and grains, eating lots of good fat, keeping the carbs low and moderating protein.

"This has been a strong week for my Keto lifestyle results," Jenna wrote in an Instagram post with before and after pictures. "I’m no longer really losing fat, I’m tightening. I see and feel the biggest difference in my arms and back. When I was out of shape, I felt really thick through my core and trap and arm area. That’s finally starting to go. I really feel weight in our arms is a hormonal thing. I can say this to all of you ladies wondering how I stay committed to no carbs. Well, after the first week or so... the cravings subside and your body adjusts. I get sweet cravings here and there, but I usually push past them by drinking a Fresca. Oh and by the way, my scale number hasn’t budged. I’m holding at 130."

Keto is a celeb favorite, and people are starting to speak out about their transformations on the diet; it's a hit with stars who praise it publicly, such as Jersey Shore pal Vinny Guadagnino, who has dubbed himself "the Keto Guido" after losing 50 pounds.

"You ready for it? Stop eating sugars and grains and instead 98% of the time eat real food like whole eggs, bacon, butter, fatty steaks, fatty fish and plants and exercise a few times a week," he wrote on Instagram in May. "When I ate sugars and grains I was 50 lbs heavier and looked 10 years older."
