I have a bit of a beef with this episode in that 'the perfect guy' was also a big guy. I am not contesting that he might be personality wise(he was a super sweet gentleman).
I guess my beef is that you never have anyone curvy or bigger really except for her (and I get that it is LA, but there are plenty of unattractive and curvier millionaires looking for love that I am sure you deal with that don't make the tv show edit).
For once I would really just like to see an attractive yet curvy girl get an attractive man on your show (or vica versa)...not necessarily drop dead gorgeous...but the edit and the show make it seem like bigger girls only deserve bigger guys when in fact that is just not true, and I know you know that.
I am curvy, not as curvy as robin (probably more similar to you in the past), but I am sane and I have NEVER had any trouble finding attractive guys who are also great (I know you never did either!).
I agree the guys she went after weren't right...I don't go for those type...but the all american boy type...plenty of them like curvy girls.
I get it, it is LA, and I get there are a lot of shallow men and women especially there...I just think it sucks that the only truly curvy girl you have had gets paired with a bigger guy as 'the right guy for her'. Again, I don't think it is that you are wrong...I just think that as the only curvy edit...that just feeds critics and stereotypes and I would just like to see a little more diversity make the cut for the show.
I disagree that a man needs to show up on a first date with a box from Tiffany's! It puts way too much pressure on the date, and how does he even know her taste? That's better left for when the chemistry is certain and two people know each other.
I think it would freak me out....but I don't think that was Patti's point. A) matchmaker dates are different b)she was trying to get him to do something for someone else. I think that was her point not necessarily that he has to always buy jewelery.
Robin is.... eccentric to say the least. I'm sorry but she is crazy if she actually thinks that some of these guys are going to be interested in her. Grown men don't want to date women that act like little ( around the age of 5) girls. Patti is right, hello kitty does not raise the "flag pole" so to speak. She's obviously not an idiot, she's a millionaire for crying out loud but she definitely needs to reevaluate a few things!!
I think Robin will be okay, she'll find her man eventually... however the dude who didn't show for his date, that is unforgiveable.
Off the subject of Robin, although she is one of my favorite "train wrecks" thus far, (sorry Robin), I must say Patti you look absolutely phenomenal, absolutely gorgeous as always! And super hotttt. I hope all is well :-) - a real fan, Kate
Robin looked so much younger as a brunette! Robin is so far gone, I don't think she'll ever chose the right Joe....just saying. And Bradley (OMG), he's totally clueless due his narcissism. There is even just so much Patty can eventually help with when it comes to people who live in denial. love you patty!
I agree....but there has to be physical attraction as well....I think that she probably should have had someone in between - hard to go from one typeto another. I remember trying to give a Joe a chance once because he was such a sweet guy....but I just wasn't physically attracted to him and that isn't fair to anyone!
I'd totally go on a date with Joe...Robin had no idea what she had there!! He's adorable and sweet....
Bravo on Robin's makeover! I couldn't believe on WWHL last night she was blonde again! What a mistake! She should have chosen the guy who lost a lot of weight! He had the right demeanor for her and his face matched hers! lol!
That guy was the WORST!! And there are SO SO many guys like him! ECH! How clueless can you be! All that education wasted!
Patti, I agree with the poster below.....I don't know what you are doing, but it works...you look great..... I just have to comment on Robin....you said in your blog she wanted marriage and kids....well, I am not sure if she would be willing to share her Hello Kitty toys....I failed to catch her age, but I had high hopes for her date choice...but when she did not choose the PO, my smile faded...then she said that she chose her date because he was "HAWWT" ...and then it showed Beefcake....he looked like the varsity quarterback at everybodys high school, and I was certain he acted like one....I was right...I was so glad she did not see Beefcake again, because he was not into the date....it's that relaxed sphincter thing....when men are not intimidated..With Robins business and wealth, she needs to be very careful...her animal babies will keep her a lot happier
Robin wants what she wants. I don't think she has changed just feeling the twinge of time ticking.
Ah, Bradley, poor soul thinks that women will just fall at his feet. Yuck!
I agree that Bradly displays a lot of narcissist traits. It seems that he lacks healthy super ego development. He wants to be with someone, but not in the way that most people would want. Instead, he craves an patronizing echo chamber of ego validation. There's a disconnect in someone who hands a date a donation to give away instead of buying them a gift. Kudos to Robin on her new look.
he is exactly what 90% of doctors are like....no doctors has always been a rule of mine...the egos are too much
You commented to Robin that there is an inner Robin we just haven't seen. I hate to disagree, but I think what you see is what you get, and she's unapologetically Robin. But that's not why I'm commenting. In the opening scene, you looked fantastic. Whatever you were wearing, go buy it in every color. It was very flattering and shows you've worked hard to look so fit.
