Late Not Hate

Cythia didn't have a problem with NeNe being late.

Welcome to Bar One! This is Peter's new business venture. I am so proud of him. Last year losing Uptown was tough, but as you can see by the grace of God, we are moving forward. So many entrepreneurs have lost businesses because of the recession. Peter's spirit was broken, but he still had faith in himself. He did not throw in the towel, and he got right back in the ring. I applaud him for that. Bar One is doing great, and Peter works very hard every day to keep it that way. I love you, baby. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. Go, Peter!

On Bar One being in the hood:

Bar One is located in the Grant Park area in Atlanta. When did Grant Park become the hood? Oh, when Bar One opened up there of course.
On my photo in BarOne:

I love my photo in Bar One.  Even though I don't like surprises, I was very flattered. The afro was big! Not everybody can wear one.

"Practicing is always the smart thing to do."

Yes. I think my mom told me that when I was little.

"It would be rude to mention that Cynthia was not the best MC"

Perhaps not, but I was the prettiest.

"Everybody knows that you want to look at models, not hear them."

I guess one out of two ain't bad.

"Peter is a pimp."

I think this was actually meant to be a compliment, so I'm going to let this one slide. Thank you, I guess. What kind of crowd is Bar One going to attract? Let's see. Since Bar One opened, Ludacris, Monica, Jill Scott, Dr. Jay, Keri Hilson, Marsha Ambrosius, Robert Townsend, NeNe Leakes, Young Joc, Treach, Tami Roman, RL, Nelsan Ellis (Layfayette from True Blood), Joe, and Sheree Whitfield have come through. Did I already say Sheree Whitfield?

Bar One had air conditioning, running water, indoor toilets, and all the rest of the basics to run a business. The place was packed with people, so it got a little hot. Luckily, no one had a heat stroke.

"Hood folks gotta drink too." True. Everybody likes a good cocktail. Thanks for pointing it out anyway. Maybe somebody out there had no idea.

I love NeNe like a fat kid loves cake and Peter loves her too. Yes, Peter and I do love NeNe, and she loves us. We are just one big happy family, just loving each other to death. Oh, just for the record, skinny people love cake too. Especially models.I didn't do or say anything when NeNe turned up late to Bar One. I would rather NeNe come late and show us love than be on time and hate. Who cares? Everybody is always late. What was I supposed to do? Jump on her like a spider monkey and beat the crap out of her? Oh, maybe I should have poured water on her shoulder. That would have taught her a lesson.

NeNe only gave us five minutes because that's all we can afford. We can't afford NeNe for more than five minutes, but we can afford to open two businesses at the same time. Hmm... Maybe if Peter and I save up enough money, we can also afford to put skating rinks in Bar One and The Bailey Agency.
Love you guys!

Thank you to my friend Zang Toi in NYC for giving me your beautiful  dress to wear to the fashion show that I hosted. You are an amazing designer, and I was honored.

Cynthia: Who Can Stay Mad at Someone Forever?

Cynthia Bailey shares her reaction to Phaedra Parks not accepting her apology.

Bravotv.com: How did you get through that long flight to Manila?
Cynthia Bailey: I watched four movies, had breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner twice, read five magazines, slept for five hours, and talked Kandi's ear off whenever she was awake. Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure I drank a bottle of wine as well.
And just when I thought that I couldn't take it anymore, we still had nine hours left to go!

Bravotv.com: Were you surprised Phaedra seemed unwilling to move forward with you?
CB: Apologies aren't exactly falling out of the sky amongst these ladies. You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting an apology from one of them. So when someone offers an apology in hopes of moving on, it is usually considered to be a positive thing. So why not address the issue, have the conversation, apologize if it is necessary, and move on? Who has the energy to stay mad at someone forever? Not me, I am moving on regardless.

Bravotv.com: Did you feel like the vibe changed for the better after everyone talked through their issues at dinner?
CB: Yes I did. We had an amazing time in the Philippines. It was one of my favorite cast trips, outside of Anguilla when Peter and I renewed our marriage vows.
