On November 13, Xscape received one of the highest honors at the 2022 Soul Train Awards: the Lady of Soul award — the likes of which has been received by only one other female group, SWV. When the show aired on November 27, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss not only accepted the award but also performed a medley of some of their biggest hits — and in superstar style, of course.

As for the red carpet, after the initial taping, Kandi shared a peek on her Instagram of the dazzling one-shoulder silver gown she wore for the ceremony, which featured a high leg slit and sparkling beaded details. She paired the dress with strappy silver heels and gold-and-silver drop earrings, wearing her hair in voluminous curls with a braided piece over the top of her head.

“[Lady of Soul] winners! It’s a blessing to still be here,” Kandi wrote at the time. “Thank you to all of our supporters! Love y’all!!!”

When the ladies hit the stage to perform, Kandi rocked a stunning metallic gold halter-style bodysuit with beaded details, long gold gloves with sparkling cuffs, and matching thigh-high boots. Kandi also wore oversize gold hoops and opted for a gold eye look with a bright red lip for extra glamour.

“It was a blessing to be able to be on that stage [and] do our thing after all these years in the game,” Kandi captioned a November 28 Instagram video of the performance, also shouting out producer and Atlanta heavy hitter Jermaine Dupri for giving the group “the opportunity that changed our lives.”
