NeNe Leakes is sticking by her husband Gregg Leakes as he battles cancer. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom recently revealed his diagnosis after he had an extended stay in the hospital, and she plans to do whatever she can to support him in his fight, including changing up her diet.

"Cancer patients rely on support a great deal!" she wrote on Instagram. "With that said, Gregg has switched his diet to vegan and I’m supporting his efforts so I’ve given up all meat and considers [sic] myself a pescatarian! It wasn’t even hard for me! I just said, I’M DONE but I need a little seafood in my life."

The couple plan to launch a website to help others to eat healthy and exercise.

"We are working really hard on getting our website up because you guys have asked so many great questions and you’ve helped us as well with all of your knowledge!" she continued. "With this site, we can help each other with motivation, herbs, recipes, diets, exercise etc. coming soon my friends."

In addition to eating vegan wherever possible, the Leakes family is loading up on alkaline foods, which includes lots of fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts. Alkaline foods are believed to be helpful in neutralizing acidity in the bloodstream to create balance in the body.
