Kyle Richards

Kyle Richards talks about her daughter's birthday and wanting a baby at a young age.

on Nov 4, 20100

This week's episode, you are still just getting to know all of us. I think of this week as "the calm before the storm." As you've seen in the previews, my confronting Camille next week doesn't go over too well. So this week I will enjoy watching; all of us interact with our families.

I thought the party Taylor threw for Kennedy was gorgeous. The flowers were incredible and what beautiful desserts!

We were so excited to celebrate Portia's birthday. Mauricio and I decided to have another baby when our eldest Farrah left for college. Most of our friends were just starting their families and here we were, in our 30s, and we had one of our children leaving us already. That is when we decided to expand our family.

I first knew I wanted to be a mom when my sister Kathy had her first baby, Paris. She was so beautiful and sweet. My sister was such a young mom (as was my mom), and she loved the help that I was more than willing to give. When I was 12 years old I would have sleepovers and sleep In Paris' room with her. When everyone was asleep, I would sneak a sleeping Paris out of her crib and lay her next to me. I can remember feeling so much love toward that baby that I would hold her and start to cry. I'm not sure I quite understood why at the time. I remember thinking, "I can't wait to have one of my own that I don't have to share with anyone." My wish came true when I was 19 and I had my first daughter, Farrah. I know I was young, but I had an incredible support system with my mom and sisters. Being a mother came naturally to me. A wife, not as much. I was too young to understand the work that goes into a marriage. Plus, my parents were divorced when I was little, so I didn't exactly have great role models. I was divorced at 21. To this day Farrah's father and I are very close, and we all consider him family.

When I met Mauricio In 1994, everything fell into place. A lot of you have asked me where he is from. Mauricio is from Mexico City. He's Jewish and actually has no Mexican blood (don't say that to him though. He considers himself Mexican) His grandparents are from Russia on his father's side and Greece and Lithuania on his mother's side. He asked me to convert to Judaism, and it was an easy decision. Growing up in Beverly Hills, everyone was Jewish, and I always secretly wanted to be. I loved his family, and most importantly, I was madly in love with
him, and he loved both Farrah and me. We were fortunate enough to be blessed with three more daughters -- Alexia, Sophia, and Portia. Being a mom is something that I never take for granted. I love each and every moment with my girls. When Lisa commented at Portia's party, that she misses having little ones  running around, I felt a little lump in my throat. How would that feel? How would I spend my days? I'm happy that I have a long time before I find out. However, I also know how quickly time
passes.

you say you converted to being Jewish but i have seen you wearing a cross on a couple of the shows. None of my Jewish friends wear crosses. Did you go back to your own religion????? If so--what did Mauricio say????

Oh Pa-lease! Kyle is extremely self absorbed! She rags on her sister all the time, poor thing! I like Kim a lot!!! Camille....won't even waste my breath talking about that mess.....Taylor loves to stir up drama & then act like she doesn't know what's going on......Adrienne and Lisa are cool. Lisa is my all time FAV!!

Ps. That is not all Kyles natural hair that grew out of her head! STOP THE BS!!

Kyle you are absolutely gorgeous! You were my favorite on the show until I saw how you treat your sister. It's obvious you are extremely jealous of her. If she didn't support your family from her child acting career, where did she get the guts to make a statement like that? She is always to scared and intimidated to speak up for herself. More importantly, you said your dad was "successful".... what was his career? What was his occupation? Why is that you do not shut down Kim's claim of supporting the family growing up by stating what your parents did for money when you guys were growing up?

Wow seriously? The indigenous people did not have stringent immigration laws. Those came AFTER many people from all over the world immigrated and it became a democracy.

Kyle, you are my Favorite, along with Lisa!! You are a funny, honest woman. Don't let her get to you! She is nothing, and I repeat nothing, without her husband's money and fame!

Hi Kyle, You and Lisa are my favorite members of the cast and I grow to love you more and more every episode. Not only do you seem like an amazing mother, sister, wife and friend but you have a very down-to-earth spirit. It is refreshing to see that despite your fame/fortune etc. you are so sweet and generous. I was upset to see Camille attack you last episode and I hope you know that regardless of what was said and done I think that most of America (like 99.9999%) believe that you were being the truthful one.

Your husband is hot, but he's got a pretty sweet part of the deal himself! I cannot believe you were thinking about NOT having any more kids. The two of you have perspective. Mix that with intelligence and it will show, as in your beautiful family (dynamically and physically - I don't think it's all coincidence that you are the most gorgeous of the housewives and beyond). I hope you don't feel guilty about the life you have achieved. You and Kim have a really normal relationship as far as I can see. My sister and I don't see each other that often but when we do, it's the same exact way. And, I know we'd really go crazy if we had to film together!

What do you mean your husband has no Mexican blood?

Thats a really dumb thing to say. Being Mexican is a nationality, in the country there's a composition of races from mestizos to whites to indeginous, who are all Mexican.

Kyle, you are my favorite Housewife. I love your passion, your love of family and how down to earth you are. I understand your love of your sister Kim as well as the frustration you feel with her. As for your relationship with Camille, good luck. She is my least favorite wife, I find falsetto voices so distasteful, that breathless voice she speaks in is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me! I agree with you, she is delusional and needs therapy. For business purposes I hope you two patch things up, after all she is backed by Kelsey's money, & this show requires it, but otherwise I don't see why you would want to spend any more time with her than necessary.

Kyle... you are my favorite person on the show!! You are so real and funny, and I cannot believe this whole ordeal going on with Camille. She really needs to get over whatever she thought she "heard." Keep being your fun-self!!

Hi Kyle! Love, love, love you on the show!!! In my humble opinion, you are the most honest housewife. Your life does not center around what you can buy with your money, but around your family. That's real! Stay true to yourself, your family and your beliefs. These are the only things in life that will bring you true happiness!!!!

Kyle, I don't think you are bad person by any means, but I do feel sympathetic towards Kim. You both are blessed to have happy, healthy families, and I know sisters can be sisters and fight. However, she has four children and is a single mother. I don't really think you grasp what it feels to feel truly lonely. I think everyone in Bev Hills are trying to "Keep up with the Joneses.'" I come from a wealthy family where my dad really screwed over my mom and I financially, but even more, abused us. Money is quite lonely. Your neices are not like "little sisters", you are their aunt! You must treat them like that. It seems Kim has always had to make very adult decisions alone, and I think is is awful to drag children into this drama. I really support Kim and am routing for her happiness. God knows, she deserves it

Kyle,

I love that you shared your products with us. I used to LOVE Loreal Volumonous as well, until I tried Maybelline Stiletto (Ultimate Length-Very Black). It is awesome...and my new fave!!! You should try it.

I love that you are so down to earth and such a wonderful family person! I watch all of the Houswives and didn't think I could ever get into this one, but I have and I LOVE it!!! Definitely shows the "fabulous" yet down to earth "normal" side to Beverly Hills.

Can't wait for the next episode...

You seem to be the sister with all the forture. Your sister Kim seems like a lost soul and needs help; perhaps more help than you can give her. Kim doesn't seem to fit on the show, I think we may see her implode; she seems to live in the past.

How com your sister kim does not write a blog

PS. Kyle only mentioned something at dinner once in a light manner, and they were all drinking...so relax a little. It's beyond obvious that Kyle only wants the best for her sister and feels responsible for her. (Maybe even a little guilty for having a "more balance" let's say, in her life.)

Dear Kyle, I love watching you live your beautiful lifestyle. Your family is blessed with wealth and luxury. Do you talk to your children about how they will have to work hard in their adult lives to continue living the lifestyle they grew up in? How do the wealthy approach college and career aspirations with their kids? Do you have a college savings account for them?

You are definitely the favorite! You come across the most genuine and real- quite freshing to see! Nothing can hide the fact you are truly in love and a great mother!

You and your family seem real and you seem to really care about your family, refreshing! Nice Birthday party for your daughter too, Taylor's party was obviously all about HER and not her daughter! I notice all the other women look like they've been in plastic surgeons offices way too much? But you don't? You look great maybe they should take a few lessons from you. ; )

Did you watch the entire show are just parts because I can't believe that Kyle was as rude to her sister as she was. She knew her sister was moving in her new house yet she called and asked her to stop everything and come over early to help her finish getting ready for the party. When Kim tried to explain that she couldn't, Kyle hung up on her...acting like a spoiled brat when she didn't get her way. Kyle tends to act like that, a lot! How do you know that Kyle didn't plan the party after she found out what day Kim was moving. I can't believe that you made the statement about Kim's failures, what failures are you talking about....the ones that Kyle keeps telling everyone about?

Honestly when I first saw previews for this season I swore I wouldn't watch and I had preconceived notions about you and your sister. Now I see how focused you are on your with your family (sans 4 nannies) -- you are my favorite thus far. The party for your daughter was tasteful, age appropriate and financially responsible.

Oh please. Moving is one of the most stressful things in life, cut her some slack. Kim has her priorities right, she did what she had to do. To acknowledge Portia's b-day, she could do something-just the two of them-@ a later date.

I adore you Kyle!!!

Couldn't your sister Kim have simply planned her move-in date to a date other than her gorgeous little niece's first birthday?

I'm sure you wouldn't ever make other plans--especially such plans that needs to be made in major advance--on any of Kim's children's birthdays.

And the sad part is that I think she did it on purpose...That's her way of dealing with her failure and your success--which all really boils down to having a happy life and family.

Your b'day party for Portia hit just the right note all the way around, geared for the kids but enjoyable for adults. Seriously, tho, can't you let up on Kim even a little bit? So many digs, so much snarkiness. It's just sad to see that. Yes, she certainly has her issues but you treat her like a 3rd class citizen. You are both lovely women in your own way, so hopefully you can start letting go at whatever is at the root of your obvious resentments toward her.

I think you are being a bit silly and are going out of your way to act as if she said something ignorant. Your comments don't even make sense. Kylie was obviously saying although her husband was born in Mexico, he is not Hispanic. There is no offense to be taken by that.

And Mexico is hardly the multi-cultural mega you claim it to be, while immigration is possible it is very difficult because of stringent Mexican Immigration laws, there is under 1 million legal immigrants living in Mexico out of 111 million people- so it's more than reasonable to conclude that over 99% of Mexicans are Hispanic. Deal with it.
