I would like to start my first Bravotv.com blog by sending love and prayers to the victims of the horrific tragedy in Connecticut. May those of us who are spending time with family during the holidays be grateful and safe and not take our blessings for granted.
When tragedies occur we often put life into perspective and focus on the things that really matter. Often times we get caught up in trivial things and waste time and energy on issues that don’t deserve our attention. It is bad enough if we are dealing with personal issues, but why insert yourself into issues that have nothing to do with you?
One thing I learned early on in this process is that this is a group of very strong women with equally strong opinions. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting myself into, so I treaded lightly while observing what was going on. Again, the drama that was already brewing didn’t involve me, so I wanted to really understand the dilemma before I shot from the mouth. I am the kind of person that will give an honest opinion if asked, and I am happy to offer advice, but it is ultimately up to the person on the receiving end to decide if they wish to take it or leave it. I don’t recall Brandi asking Faye for advice; it seems they don’t even know each other. In fact, I don’t recall Brandi asking anyone for advice on the Adrienne matter. This is an issue between Adrienne and Brandi and should remain between them.
Marisa!! Love that you are on the show. You are refreshing and sweet! Was really glad to see you stand up for Brandi while Fake Faye was attacking her. I would have liked to see her other "friends" do that too - so it was diappointing. Good luck on the show and keep being kind and sweet! Love to see tha!!
Marisa breath of fresh air...remember if Kyle invites you to dinner and Faye is there you maybe served to her for dinner!
Wow!!!! I must say I am glad to see that there is someone other than Lisa and Ken in Beverly Hills that knows how to behave with some modicum of appropriate. This episode certainly proves that money does not equal class. These are grown women who allow their friends to speak for them, in a way that we allowed in high school to prove we were BFF's. Really!!!! And this was a dinner party that Kyle was hostessing, she should have nipped this. It is a failure if you have people leave upset. And you ask the person who is causing the problem to leave. How does it show being a good friend by ruining a dinner party that Kyle had to show her new dining room she had been working on? I don't get it. At the end of the day, I would much rather had a friend who cursed than a friend who thought so little of me that she would disrespect my home and other friends like Fay did. You appeared to be as appalled as I was.
Oh Marisa--you are like water to a dehydrated person in the desert! Your non judgemental slow to persecute personality is so refreshing. Your sorely needed to help temper these quick to castigate group of women. Sending you my very best wishes to overcome the obstacles they will surely send your way. Your survival will only be accomplished through shrewd thinking and avoidance.
Can't wait to see more of you! I can see now you're the voice of reason. Nice on your part to step in for Brandi! Class act
I like watching you on the show. I hope you get more air time. Yolanda is fun to watch also. Kyle is good on the show also but I don't like her backstabbing ways. I love Lisa and Brandi needs a break from the mean girls on this show. Really us women need to stick together and support each other. Faye needs to mind her on business!!
As of tonight, I am liking Marisa more and more (well, since her first appearance). I noticed that she had tweeted in during the prior episode and I really like that as an ACTUAL OBJECTIVE third party looking in, she said what was right for the time and place and showed that Lisa isnt taking sides by being rational vs. Faye who was behaving deplorably.
Am liking the addition of Marisa aside from the fact she's friends with Kyle (questionable by association), but she seems to have her own mind.
On another note, being a strong woman, with a very strong personality I have learned to temper myself and I am half Fayes age, however she needs to take this advice; you need to speak half as much, and listen twice as much.
I agree with you regarding Faye and her constant interjections. She has very little knowledge of what the truth is and only spews her biased opinion based on what information Kyles decides to share with her.
I could not believe that Kyle as the hostess of dinner party of women who are not all on equal footing with one another let alone even met before allow one of her guests, Faye, who she says he is best buds with attack another guest, Brandi, who Faye does not know well or had one on one conversation with.
To allow a guest you invite to your home to be spoken to in that manner and humiliated and forced to defend herself was classless of Kyle. It spoke volumes of her core and the walk she chooses to walk.
She could have diffused Faye and had an oblgation to do so. There at the table. It didn't have to be loud and shaming but intelligent and classy. Holding her head in her hands and making gasps and faces was in keeping with her immaturity she often displays when she can't handle a situation.
I have no idea what the drama is all about between Adrienne and Brandi. It does seem it is someting Brandi pulled out of her hat but I could be wrong becasue the show just hasn't given us enough info. Regardless of the origins of it or who started it Faye Resnick was so out of line. She showed herself to be judgemental, gossipy, small minded, not very smart and on the very low side of the intelligene quotient.
Anyone who spoke up was miles beyound the rest of the women. I found Marisa's comments to be very appopriate, low key, non accusatory toward Resnick and what a classy woman would do in situation the hostess has let get totally out of hand and therefore a negligent and ill mannered hostess. Mature some Kyle and dumb baggage and taggers on like Faye Resnick.SHe has been a fame hound the past 30 yrs and still shows up in questionable circumstances which is not surprising for women of her ilk.
How MANY times CAN you refer to yourself as elegant and sophisticated? Think again. Your word usage, syntax, and lack of upper class upbringing SHOWS every time you speak. "Royalty" never ever brags. Your clothing choices are not at all sophisticated. They appear to more, "mall". Did you really announce you married Hollywood "royalty"? Only one Zanuck was an originator of the original Hollywood. His achievements are not passed to his grandchildren. In any case, the movie stars were the so called "royalty", not the finance men. You are a salesperson who works on commission - for Kyle's brother-in-law. Not exactly Debretts.
Faye was blatantly rude to you and you handled it with grace and a great deal of self control. Hope to see more of you on the show and no more of Faye on the show.
Faye wouldn't even let you speak. What a bully. And it is not Faye's issue nor Kyle's. Why would Kyle allow Faye to do this at her house. I'm thinking she enjoyed it and now she can deal with the fall out. Kyle is a mess or a human.
WTH are you and why did you hijack this blog?? Why are we listening to this woman who looks like Brandi's doppleganger?
FlutterBy Why the nasty words? They should be directed to people like the fame-hungry Faye...or maybe Faye or Kyle paid you to 'flutter by' here??
Wish they had let you speak Marisa. Great addition, maybe perm. next season.I am glad you saw how Brandi is slammed by everyone all the time. Glad you wrote a blog and hope to see more of you in the future. (If the show ever comes back on ...seems like its been forever!)
Welcome to the show Marisa. It was very honorable of you to stand up for Brandi, even though you did not know her. While Brandi is obviously strong, it is draining to be so verbally battered and ganged up upon, and I am sure your support was greatly appreciated. It was heartening to watch. I feel women should support each other instead of fight against each other. I look forward to seeing you in future episodes.
why are you blogging? Are you a new housewife? Taylor, Brandi, now you? A league of its own, why don't you 3 ladies do a separate show.
She is blogging because Bravo asked her to blog. It's not like anyone can blog on bravo's official "cast blog", I know I can't, lol. SO in light of things to come, somehow her opinion will cast a light onto the future story line. I have a feeling she will have a fresh, more rational viewpoint as opposed to all the other women and their personal agenda's. As opposed to "Sarah" who blogged during the last season of RHOOC, she eventually was involved In "bow gate" when all hell broke loose, lol. Pretty sure that was the end of Sarah's relevancy, as for Marisa, who knows, she may be an "extra" housewife that sticks around, it appears as if Faye is, yuck. Interesting that Kyle refers to both of the as "old good friends" and when it comes down to it, they don't know each other at all and they disagree about how to handle dinner conversation.
Welcome, Dear. You're a breath of fresh air, as are Camille and Yolanda. Thank you for backing Brandi at a time when she needed it.
Where have you been all my life? You are a great addition to the show and I hope we see more of you. I don't know if we will always be on the same page but you have certainly made a great first impression for me. It was very impressive that you tried to step in and defend Brandi or at least defuse the situation. I hope you continue to not be part of all this drama but Kyle did introduce you into this group and I usually don't respect her choice of friends. Let’s hope for the best!
You had me at hello and won me over completely when you had enough class to speak up for Brandi. You grew up around Mean Kyle and "Trailer Faye" as we call them here in Palm Beach, FL and Texas (have houses in both). We have seen this movie before with a previous coordinated attack hatched between the jealous soul sisters Trailer Faye and Mean Kyle against Camille. They are jealous and manipulative. I thought Kyle had changed and softened but looks like she didn't. Brandi could use the f word 12 times in one sentence and she will still have more class in her pinky finger than Kyle and Faye ever did or ever will. It was Kyle's place to stop this attack and she showed us who she really was when she didn't act appropriately. Money surely cannot buy you class.
Its fine for you to stand up for Brandi, but you better not go after Lisa or I will tell you right now, you will have no fans what so ever....tread lightly
I agree. She seems quite civil for this bunch. I hope they don't eat her alive! Iwould much rather see her join the cast than the crass Ms. Reznik.
good girl, all i can say is that i know that kyle brought you in the group however, kyle is not a very nice person. she wants to be the leader and the rest need to be her servants. look at faye...really who is faye to give out advice. no class low class person. kyle tries to act innocent just like she did last year, "i don't know where Brandi's crutches are" she has that kind of class (none). really wise they would get her, tyler and kim and adrian out . for having so much money they act worse then a person that has little.
Marissa, although your "part" was small on your first episode, you're impact was huge. SO wonderful to have people simply do and say the right thing. Simple, but apparently not easy with most of this crowd. It seems a few people are on the fence with Brandi (I personally love her) and there's a lot of insinuation about "behind the scenes" things that go on that we, the viewers, don't see. However, what is clear to me is that all the likeable, trustworthy, classy women (you, Yolanda, Lisa) back up Brandi, whereas the white trash of BH (Kyle, Taylor, Kim, possibly Camille), back up Adrienne. That tells me exactly what's going on behind the scenes. Welcome aboard.
Wonderful you stood up for Brandi getting shamelessly ambushed by Faye (put up by Kyle as usual.) It showed strength of character and lack of the bitter jealously of the others.
Loved the tour of your closet, and fun out fit ideas. That's a good portion of the show, outfits, events, we viewers just want to have fun. Not to see women claw at each other. Fun events and wonderful get away's and chefs delicious concoctions and Lisa's wonderful decorating and ways of serving simple teas to sit down meals.
You seem like a very nice person so please don't let the hateful girls drag you down to their levels. Kyle talks behind everyone's back. Kim stirs up poop, Taylor talks out of both sides of her mouth. Brandi is nice until attacked usually & Lisa tries to see it like it truly is. Faye...nobody wants to hear her mouth & she was so very rude to you at the dinner party. She only knows what Kyle & Kim have told her, she wasn't there & has a very limited view of what Brandi is truly like. Camile is better this season, I'm liking her better. She wasn't lily white in the poop stirring of the previous seasons, but has grown this season. Glad you joined! Best of luck to you!
Faye and Kyle, the Beverly Hills Sorority Mean Girls. Adult women never outgrowing their high school actions. Faye's actions were at the least, rude, insensitive, and intrusive. These women think they are so strong when it comes to voicing their opinions and telling it like it is, but when it comes to showing a little bit of diplomacy or leadership or "doing the right thing", Kyle, it's your home, your dinner party, why let the atmosphere turn bad? Defuse the intensity, deflect Faye's hostile remarks. And now you had a guest walk out because of another guest's mean and immature hostility? Weak, girl, weak. I think Brandi is tons more stronger than Faye and the rest of the Beverly Hills Sorority.
Not sure what to think yet, but you don't seem that pretentious. The tour of your closet was more "relatable" to the average Jane. One Birkin bag that you keep in the box, while Lisa, Kyle and Yolanda have their 5-10 Birkins on display.
you're the bee's knees, and hope we'll get to see more of you on the RHBH.
LOVED when you spoke up for Brandi at the dinner party!! Brava.
also, absolutely agree with you about flying coach! It can be horrendous. I became accustomed to flying business class, first class + upper class when I worked at a certain company. Then...when I joined another organisation, we were forced to fly coach. It was awful!!! One one flight, I could smell the scent of warm chocolate---and was sooo envious---since I knew what was going on behind that curtain! The upper class folks were being served warm brownies and vanilla ice cream, champagne with a strawberry, ....whilst I was munching on stale peanuts.
in the event -- cheerio my deario,
looking forward to getting to "know" you -- albeit via the tv screen.
Dear Bravo! PLEASE add Marisa to the FULL OFFICIAL RHOBH Cast! She is a breath of fresh air! Not to mention HILARIOUS!
Loved the cattle remark - it SO does feel like that! Hahaha And I loved that you said "Once you go first class you don't want to go back!" Hahaha Im sure its true - I've never flown first class but I have flown enough coach to say - if I ever got the chance to fly 1st - I WOULD! Hahaha
I go back and forth on my opinions of Brandi, but I was so glad that you stuck up for her against Faye. Faye is, in my opinion, a very crude person and I hope they don't put her in the show anymore. Time will tell, but so far I'm glad you'll be joining the show.
Good points, I have been thinking along the same line. Marisa, I think you were quite nice trying to defend Brandi at Klye's dinner party.Coming in as Klye's friend puts you on the suspect list for most of us fans, so the jury is still out. Prove to us that you are your own person and can stand up to injustice even in the face of Kyle, Adrienne or Mauricio will be half if not most of your battle.
FairIsFair Agreed. I liked her standing up for Brandi but the fact that she is a friend of kyle's & has dissed Lisa makes me skeptical.
I haven't seen the clip about flying in coach and feeling like cattle. People, who doesn't feel like cattle in coach? I've never flown 1st class but I seriously doubt those people are better to fly next to...............let's face it though, they do treat you like cattle though.
The jury is still out on you. Haven't googled you and don't plan to. Time will tell.
She 's a real estate broker, just like Mauricio. She'll go where the money is. That's Camille, Adrienne, Yolanda, Lisa, etc. Quite a quandry since she will have to straddle so many fences. Simple as that!
I enjoyed watching you. I LOVED that you didn't go along with others when you thought it was wrong. Hope Bravo includes you! Not all of us like the "Jerry Springer" type junk. Some of us (ME) like getting a peak at how others live.
I hope they include you in more episodes! I would love for there to be more characters such as yourself who portray voices of reason that are more of a neutral party. It was so great to hear you speak up for Brandi when all the other women would have seen bias had Lisa done the same, based on their close relationship.
You were a breath of fresh air. You looked absolutely beautiful and natural at the dinner melee. I hope you won't catch the plasticfillerbotox virus that has created some oddly distorted reality stars' faces. I appreciated your not rushing to fill any holes in the conversation to make your presence known. I know this will need to end, and since this season is already in the can, I hope you took the high road and were yourself. If however, they insisted you chew the scenery, I pray you did it at Kyle's, and gave her an opportunity to redo Faye's work.
People will probably give you crap for your comments about flying in coach, but I didn't take it too seriously! You seem like a lady that speaks her mind and gives it too you straight- which is what I think this show needs more of!
A lot of the women seemed scared to speak up or defend each other, and i thought it was really nice of you to stick up for Brandi at the dinner party.
