Hi everyone! That was a fast week wasn't it?
First of all thank you so much for all of your support and well wishes! My treatment is going strong but as many of you warned me, the Herxheimer reaction is a tough battle. I am optimistic though -- I keep putting one foot in front of the other. Yesterday, I visited my best friend Ellie. She is battling ALS and starring death straight in the eye which really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
When I watched today's episode, I had a very hard time relating. It makes me sad to see such turmoil and disrespect in my new group of friends, especially knowing they are all coming from a place of hurt and they are having difficulty communicating. I am really hoping that one day they are ready to start living in the moment and move on from all these past issues.
Please know that my observations come from a place of love and kindness. My goal is to give constructive criticism and hopefully not seem judgmental. So here it goes. . .
Paul is understandably upset and should defend his wife, but under no circumstance is it acceptable for a man to use such strong language with the intent of intimidating a woman. Brandi should have never said what she said because, even if it is the truth, it's a family matter that should have been respected. We have all agreed that Brandi should pause before speaking -- she even admits that herself. But, like I said last week, you will see in the upcoming episodes that she does try and make numerous attempts to apologize.
oh yolanda.. kim shouldn't have done that at the party... 2 episodes later you confront that zanuck woman at lisa's party.. you are hypocrisy personified... follow your own advice!
I think Faye should be taken off the show..because she is Kyle's friend that does not mean she should have Dialog on the show ..she's a pot stirrer.... its none of her business !!!!
I do agree with Yolanda on Faye. Faye in recent seasons of RHOBH has interfered with conversations with the ladies. She should mind her own business and worry about hers.
Yolanda, you are a breath of fresh air. If you and Lisa weren't on the show I would stop watching it. Even though I find Brandi a bit outrageous at times, I can't help but like her. The way that Kyle, Kim, and Adrienne have treated her is awful. As for Paul, I can't stand men who feel free to intimidate women. Now with this Faye person, it is just too much. You and Lisa lend class to the show and make it interesting.
Yolanda. I love your home and the view is wonderful. The decor and tidiness (arrangement of food such as fruit and vegges) is elegant but comfortable.
Now, where were you when all the drama went down at Marcio's event at the the dinner at Kyle's home? If you were at the dinner, I do not think Faye would have continuing running her trap inappropriatealy.
I agreed with everything you said about all the housewives!
I'm glad you found out how nice it is to enjoy the season without buying lots of gifts. I did that this year also, didn't buy one gift. I prepared a nice meal for any family member that wanted to join us and to celebrate the reason for the season. My gift to all was to share a meal and time together at Christmas.
Glad you have joined the housewives, I enjoy your spirit.
I watch the show and wonder if other people are thinking the same things I am. Then I read this and see that they are. You have not become egocentric about your wealth and husband as other women seem to. You show what a good wife and mother means to you. It is so refreshing to see on any of the housewives. I am certain you will not stoop to the level of people like Faye and Kyle, oh and Taylor lately too. I think the most evil wife is on RHWONJ - Theresa! Gawd! What an evil, sick and delusional woman! You could teach her a few things - that is if she is even capable of changing. My point is that you are beautiful inside and out. I am certain you will stay that way
Yo, you are my fav housewife by far!! And I watch them all! You represent class and integrity! Its a breath of fresh air! Thanks for bringing some sort of normalcy to the show!
I agree. Why is Faye even involved and who the hell does she think she is?????
I hope they get rid of her. No one likes her and she should mind her own business...
Kyle needs to stop inviting Faye to fight her battles.....
How thankful to hear an intelligent, reasonable, mature adult on television. You, Lisa and Brandi are all honest. You and Lisa are so classy and beautiful, It would be nice to see more of you.
I wanted to make a comment to Yolanda about how inspiring she is. I am very close to 40 and have recently found myself in a rut and feeling like "an old lady". Seeing her dedicate her time to her health and well being and how beautiful she is inside and out has helped to shake me out of my rut and now I'm so motivated! I choose not to make any comments negative or positive about the other women because Yolanda deserves to be applauded without that!
Yolanda you are a breath of fresh air & class in this bunch of no class women (except for Lisa)... I love everything about you!! Your style your home your family, great job love!!
You are the only person on this show with common sence. You are great, please don't let all the drama queens get the best of you.
Yolanda, you are a wonderful addition to the show and I appreciate your value of home. family and marriage, it is wonderful to see a beautiful, intelligent and strong woman take care of her man! Love everything about you...
Yolanda you are exactly what I had hoped the HW's would be about classy and focused on things that really matter. You and Lisa are the kind of women I would like to see more of.
Hi Yolanda~ I really think you are a great addition to the show and I love your home. It is really beautiful. One thing though. I agree that it is unattractive for a woman to be intoxicated. But it is more unattractive, in my opinion, to say that about Taylor when she has been through such a terrible trauma. It's unattractive to be so incompassionate towards her when you are so blessed.
Why don't you throw silly Taylor a pity party with several bottles of win. SMH. Taylor needs something, but the bottle is not it.
If I could have 1 wish fulfilled I would love to have my daughter and I spend a day with you. Your lovely personality and positive energy would do wonders for us. She had her gallbladder removed and has had complication after complication. As a mom she is my everything (as you would understand) you just have such joy in your heart.
I think you are pretty spot on with your observations.Spend some one on one time with Brandi. You, Lisa and Brandi--and Camille are a good crew.
Yolanda...you are not only beautiful inside and out but incredibly insightful as well. You are truly a wonderful addition of class, elegance, poise and self confidence. Hopefully you and Lisa will "inspire" some of the other ladies to stop being so catty and lift each other up instead of getting down in the mud. My husband and I are both long time fans of your husband David's and it has been a treat to get a glimpse into his life as well as yours. It is amazing to see such a well rounded relationship in the industry you both live in. My husband has started watching with me since you came on the scene so welcome and we hope you are a permanent fixture. I completely agree with your assessment of Faye. Hoping she will NOT be sticking around.
How the hell did they talk you into doing this? You don't seem to fit with the rest of the cast. Going to sleep so you can get up to exercise! I love it!
You're one of my favorite cast members of the season! I had to google the Herzheimer though - maybe best to cut back on those experimental back injection treatments and do less joint wrenching work-out routines - still you epitomize the best of being a women!
You are a class act. The show needed a breath of fresh air and you are providing it! Adore you and Lisa!
You have class, so does Lisa and Brandi. Class is not something that can be purchased as Kyle and Faye have throughout their lifetimes shown us.
Oh dear, what Brandi LACKS in class, she makes up for in heart. I would go with the good heart before the good manners if I had to pick one.
You are such a welcome addition to the RHoBH. You and Lisa are the voices of reason and good sense! Clearly using good manners and treating others with respect are important to you. I appreciate that there is more to life than getting drunk, acting like fools and talking out of turn! You and LIsa soar like eagles!!!
I think you could possibly be the most grounded housewife in RHW's history! I love that you are motivated and love that you own the "housewife" role in your home. You are content to take care of your home, husband and children which I believe is lacking in today's world. Very classy woman! A motivational book for those of us who struggle with this at times would be so fantastic! 8-)
Happy New Year!
You and Lisa are my favorites....a true understanding of Mature thinking and common sense.
I agree. Who is Faye? Why is she even involved? No one cares! Bravo, don't include her anymore!!!!
I too love Lisa and Ken's loving relationship and understand how you can relate. You too have a healthy , loving relationship. And your daughter is so beautiful and your son so cute with his buzz cut! I am so happy Marisa was there to stick up for poor Brandi. Taylor and Kyle and especially Adrienne are out for blood. Kyle met with Faye before dinner to discuss the ambush. Obviously.
Brandi is a lovely girl, she is young, had her heart broken and lost her family , a sad divorce, she was very upset . She did say Adrienne tried to force her to tweet mean things about Lisa and she refused and resented it so......she is only human and seems much less mean and jealous that the other girls. I hope you take her under your wing, both being former models and having to deal with jealous women......it must be hard for Brandi to be under constant attack. I can't imagine the stress.Hope it sorts out next week.
Funny, my mother used to also say "Nothing is uglier than a drunk woman." It was true then and is true now. Men are pretty ugly drunk also. A little champagne can go a long way!
Bravo, be smart and don’t bring FAYE back permanently or you will lose viewers like me or my girlfriends!
Ms Yolanda...I like your style!!! I totally agree with you about: giving flowers to Mauricio, Adrienne chilling out and working out differences diplomatically and most importantly...having Faye bugger-off! Faye is toxic, rude, negative and you are correct....Who is Faye anyway?? Just a has-been employee of Hugh Hefner! Not the epitome of classiness! So who is she to speak with her pseudo, faux pas wisdom!! Bravo, keep Faye off of Bravo and show more of Yolanda!!! My girlfriends and I love seeing her on the show!!!
You are such a breath of fresh air on this show!! I think you and Lisa are so elegant and I wish the others had an ounce of it! The way they are behaving they should join the others in Miami where they would fit in better!
You are simply amazing, You and Lisa are class acts. I hope you continue with your recovery. May your family and friends have a Happy New Year.
FINALLY!!! Some first class act on the show.
You're such a great role model Yolanda, you're not past your prime in partying hard, drinking too much, and acting a total fool.
You care for your reputation, your health, your marriage, your children.
Yolanda, you and Lisa are the most grounded and intelegent people on the show....Your blog was right on....but I must say Kim instageted the whole thing...she spoke to two hot heads...she knew that, and she knew that they think it is all about them, so steal the focus that is on Kyle's husband...If I were Kyle I would realize no matter what Kim still does not care about her or her family. ..sometimes you wonder who the grown ups are...just saying. As far as Brandi ...she spends more time defending herself however in this case, I don't think she should of bothered....Adrienne thinks she is better then everybody including her husband and money can't buy u class.
Yolanda, your daughter is absolutely beautiful...she takes after you.
Yolanda, you are a delight. and an inspiration!
I hope we get to see more of you on the show, you're one amazing gal, with terriifc insight.
all good wishes for happy holidays + the new year.
p.s. -- you're absolutely spot on --- "who is this Faye?"
it's nice to see a "real housewife" like Yolanda. No BS, and not mean, either. I think her comments are right on and I can understand why she and Lisa are friends. I hope the shows start including more like Yolanda and less like Kyle and certainly not Faye Resnick. Maybe I'll start watching again if they become less Jerry Springer.
Dear Yolanda -
I LOVE YOU! HAHAHAHA
Only you can say stuff like... "Psssh! Who is Faye .. "
You are an it girl that calls it like it is and I love that about you. I love that you cut through the crap naturally - I don't think you mean any harm by it or that it comes from a negative place and that's why I like your input so much. It's so raw and organic - which is very refreshing as I noticed the other ladies started working on their one liners - ugh- when will they learn - comedian does not a housewife make -- but you - I like your sass!
Yolanda is a true class act, and is a refreshing breath of air. These women should learn a thing or two from her and conduct themselves better.
Nice posting. I agree 100%. Lisa was my favorite -still IS- and i adore her wittiness, class, elegance, classy and her jokes, humor, silliness, fashion, style, interior and seems to be the only mature one out of all..etc...
she became my role model after seeing the TRHBH...
and after this season, i've got one more! you!! you are just as beautiful, elegant, civil and intelligent. keep up the good work! excited to see you in coming episodes.
I too live in the LA area, and we also need to be appreciative of the mild weather. If we have to be in pain, this is the place to deal with it. I hope you come through your ordeal strong and healthy. You have so much, beautiful home, wonderful husband and family, and a great refrigerator, but if you don't feel well, the only things that matter are the people by your side. Best wishes for a happy, healthy new year.
