Hello Bravo lovers, I don't know about you but I love this episode in Paris. . .the beauty of the city, the architecture, the colors. It makes for incredible television. Just walking down the streets gives me great pleasure and always inspires me. I am glad we could share it with you.
Seeing B and I skipping along the Seine just made me so happy because that's what girlfriend time should be like. It was probably the first time you saw the real me with my guard down because she makes me feel safe to be myself.
I have been quite reserved, probably as a defense mechanism. It has taken me time to trust and figure out who has my back in this group.
My time with Brandi in Paris was my favorite time of this whole season, we have so much in common and I just love her honesty she is a good woman and we have been great friends ever since.
Brandi is very independent and knows Paris. I felt the need to be momma bear and keep an eye on Kim. I felt protective of her because I could see she was struggling and having a tough time.
Yolanda I think you are the coolest person. I totally understand about your illness cause I to have Lupus and suffered 6 strokes(mini). You need to take good care of yourselve the family needs you, if you can stay out of the drama you don't need a flare up. Please take care and follow doctors instructions.
From one European gal to another, I adore you. You are a breath of fresh air to the show, Yolanda. Lisa has always been a favorite and Brandi is so blunt and without filter making for great TV. I just finished reading her book and loved it....easy and entertaining read.
Although I am rarely moved to comment, I must say Yolanda you have inspired me. I have watched most of the season, except for the finale. You appear to be the instigator in several of the spats. Was it necessary for you to be present and mediator between Brandi and Marissa, Kim and Kyle, and other discussions? You passed along information regarding conversations and arranged for the parties to talk. Perhaps that is where the "good deed" should end; other wise you appear to be the pot-stirrer you called Faye.
Yolanda I agree that your husband should be your King and you his Queen. When my husband comes home I go to the door and greet him with a kiss because I am so happy that he has made it home to me safely. We have been married for more than 30 years with a terrific family and I thank God that I have found the perfect match for me. Sounds like you have the perfect match in David. You can tell he appreciates you. So keep on doing what you do to keep the love alive and stay happy. Bravo picked the right person this time.
you, lisa and and brandi are my favorites on the show. please tell bravo to stop showing faye resnick , she has nothing nice to say and seems very toxic to have on the show. from what i have gleaned about faye she is NOT a nice person and you can sure see it on the show.
Yolonda, you and Lisa are my favorite. I felt the same way you did about Marissa. Why was she telling Brandi haters the story about the text no good advice was going to come out of their mouths. I was so happy when you "called her to the carpet" at Lisa's party. I love the way you take care of your husband. I was brought up old Italian but am contemporary person. I too take care of my husband and family. Your right it is a sign of strength but only a true confident women would know that!
Yolanda, love you and hope you come back next year, you add so much to the show. Thank you for trying to defend Brandi tonight against the evil crone faye.
Yolanda, you are a true class act. Your candor is so refreshing and needed. You, Lisa and Brandy are a joy to watch. I absolutely LOVED how you shut down Faye and Adrienne with their gossip - the very same thing of which they constantly accuse Brandy. I'm so glad that Brandi has you and Lisa in your corner. You understand her humor and that she has no malicious intent toward anyone. Nevertheless, when attacked, she is not afraid to put her dukes and fight. Those other ladies are not used to someone so bold and brazen. You have the same quality in that you don't put up with anyone's nonsense. You will call them on the carpet and make them own up to their behavior. Faye casts a dark cloud over every situation in which she inserts herself. I hope she stops getting airtime because she brings nothing but negative energy to the screen while you bring this air of vitality, simple clean living and authenticity. Amen for that!
Its nice watching you try to be friends with women who have no clue on how to be a true friend period. Your not fake and you are very honest and this is something that really aggravates these two faced women. Your know who is best to be friends with and brandi and lisa will have your back unlike the rest of the crew. Kyle likes to have kim dependant on her so that she can complain about her, kyle also allows faye to be her attack dog, kim will always blame everyone for her problems and unfortunately this will be her downfall, taylor is just a backstabber plain and simple and adrienne isn't even worth wasting time or thoughts on because of her behaviour. These women are allowing the show to ruin their relationships and their families and then act shocked as if they never saw it coming...? When they all talk about each other on live tv and say catty things...well...it will ruin your relationships..duh!!! Kyle really needs to learn this as well since she is the worst one! These mean and catty women need to learn how to be a lady from yolanda...maybe thats why they are such haters...jealous much girls lol.
Yolanda, love your style, beauty and elegance. You are definitely a great addition to the show, and of course great extension of your genius husband. You are cool, calm and collect. I love this about you. I do agree with one of the bloggers in regards to Fay. Can we please make her disappear !!!! Talking about someone that has nothing to do but stir .....Why is she even invited to any of the events??? Can't wait for the scenes from next week episode. You, Lisa and Brandi are definitely fun to watch.
I enjoy the way you write. You have some very eloquent and profound statements that are so true to life. I would be pleasure to know you.
Yolanda, it's your true INTENT that matters, not the consequence. You meant well, you always mean well toward Kim and I think she realizes that. Don't worry so much about such things or you might stress yourself out more and you have to care for your health right now! I loved that you gave Brandi that gift in Paris. You are such a kind hearted friend! And after seeing Mauricios display of generosity toward Kim in gift giving on national TV, I was so happy to see you do the same. Mauricio just comes across as a used car salesman, always trying to spin things to his favor so he can give his business a boost. You come across as genuine. In light of how Kyle dislikes Brandi, it was good for her to see Brandi has you in her corner. I look forward to reading about your illness on FB. I have similar symptoms but never got tested for lyme so now I'm wondering if I might have it too. Have you considered naturopathic or alternative treatments? I used to scoff such things until my mother had stage III(c) ovarian cancer. She was given months to live. After allopathic treatment, she embarked on alternative treatment and it has been five yrs since her initial diagnosis and she's still alive and well!! Since you seem openminded perhaps you already looked into it though. Sending my good thoughts and love for speedy recovery.
Yolanda, I'm so glad you joined the show; you, Brandi, and Lisa are my favorites. I hope that your health has gotten better and that your treatments are going well. I admire your strength and your discipline to live such a healthy and active lifestyle. Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love reading your blogs (in your accent lol), and that if you ever decide to write a book I will be the first one to purchase it. I would love to hear more on your life and growing up in Holland, being in the modeling industry, being married to Mohammed, and finding the love of your life in David Foster (who I LOVE for discovering Josh Groban!). Please come back next season, we need you as the voice of reason!!!
You know how the saying goes... a drunk will still your wallet, but a drug addict will still your wallet and help you look for it!
I think you have to treat Kim as you would a 14 year old. I don't believe she has the social or mental capabilities of a grown woman....yet. At least she doesn't seem to be conniving nor intentionally hurtful, only prickly when protecting her shortcomings.
I think what I have grown to love most about you is intially, I think everyone thought you would be repulsed by Brandi and you get her! its so refreshing, you clearly have lived similar lifes but present yourselfs very differently and yet you embrace her quirkiness and her many "foot in mouth" moments. I love that you both are soooo different, much like Lisa and Brandi, yet you don't seem to pity her or reprimand her you appreciate her. I think you honestly want to make friendships with this group and that is refreshing to see but from watching these for years most of the women I think have an agenda for fame, fortune, opportunities, business ventures etc, I just don't think many lasting friendships come out of these shows. I hope what you and Brandi have does last.
You are the epitome of class, elegance, style, and beauty. I love your positive attitude and strong will. You are simply "Drop Dead Gorgeous" in every way!
Not sure what others see in you??? Personally I think you are a snob who has money, thanks to your husbands.
I really, really hope that Bravo stop airing Faye. Why is she on the show anyways? I love you Yolanda! And I love your white pants!
RHBH is my guilty pleasure. Occasionally, my husband joins me to watch for a moment (under duress)! Whenever he sees Yolanda, he says "I like that one. She has a good head on her shoulders." He obviously is a good judge of character.
Housewifeofhatfield Mine will watch RHOA with me since it's on sundays but haven't been able to get him to watch this one lol.
Love love love you. You cut through the nonsense and break it down to very obvious easy answers. You show that life doesn't need to be so difficult and upsetting. A little honesty and not being to emotional goes a long way and you are proof of that.
Yolanda, you are a fine person. Just because Kim didn't seem to appreciate your efforts doesn't mean they were wrong. Maybe the drugs had something to do with it. Hopefully, your class will rub off on some of the other cast members.
God bless you(and Lisa) for always being the calm in the storm! In the previews for next week, is FR actually assigning blame towards Brandi for the dissolution of Adrienne and Paul's marriage? If so, WOW!!! Again a deflection of any responsibility. Seriously MIND BOGGLING. Thank you for calling out the bs right then and there!
One of the things I love about you Yo is your directness. You are strong and confident. You do not manipulate and you don't let BS slide. You are strong in ethics and character on one side and still vulnerable, feminine, soft and loving on the other. People like MCFR and Adrienne don't understand that there is more power in love than hate.
"THE CLOTHES OVER THERE LOOKS "USED", my favorite line of the season...go girl.
WOW..YOLANDA, you will be the next on Kyle's list, you are the second to last person that Kyle has not caused trouble with yet...sorry, but so glad that Bravo aired the conversation between you and Brandi at Kyle's opening.
I think you, Brandi, Taylor, Kim, and Lisa should once and for all to call Kyle out on everything.
I love Yolanda and the more she is on the show the better! I hope she sets Faye straight next week. Faye is so annoying and a total waste of camera time.
Hi Yolanda. I love that you are on the show! I think by far yoTu are the most level headed and classy. The fact that you are such a typical Capricorn I think is great. My birthday is the day before yours and Capricornns don't like to play games. We like to get right to the point. But that can be taken the wrong way sometimes. Like when Bethany (NYHW) made negative comments about you I decided I don't like her anymore! I don't know if you saw that Talk Live with Andy episode? Anyway, please stay as sweet and real as you are! It's very refreshing to watch you! And NO I am not gay lolol I am a stay at home mother to 3 teenage boys and I love the advice and tips that you give to people. Your great! XOXO. -Sandy
there's no blog post yet about tonight's show (3-11), but just had to say how gorgeous you looked in that silver/sheer gown @ your photo shoot with your husband. All of your poses looked great. It's refreshing to see a beautiful, confidant older woman who embraces all her aspects. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
Yolanda - you add so much to the show and I am very happy you have joined this season. You bring much needed sanity and core values to the RHOBH! I admire how you carry and conduct yourself: you always exhibit class and have impeccable manners and you inspire me to "rise above" pettiness in my own life and take the high road. I am a single mother and appreciate that you show how a woman can balance a career and children and maintain a civilized relationship with your children's father. Wishing you, David and your family all the best!
I'm with you, I don't need to watch someone like that, that isn't entertainment, its torture.
NONNIE05 Totally with you. She brings NOTHING but the train wrecks she desires to create for Brandi. Love watching Yolanda call her out on her pettiness and juvenile behavior!
Yolanda you have the most class of any of the housewives! No wonder your husband, David, adores you! You remind me of a beautiful flower! It's no wonder that you love your family and your life. You really do have "it" all together! Take it from this great grandmother you are a great credit to us other housewives!
I like you very much. You are straight to the point but not tacky or disrespectful like Brandi. You have class my love and do care for others feelings. Calling out the truth is not always the best decision. We must show compassion and demonstrate we are better than that. I think you can teach the others some good behaviours without telling them to shut the _____ up. I will continue to follow you and tolerate that Kyle worries more about what Lisa thinks than protecting her sister.
Yolanda, Just saw a preview of next week's show with Faye and I hope someone thoroughly puts her in her place. For her to imply that Brandi has ruined that faulty from the beginning marriage of Adrienne and Paul, is ludicruous. I hope the producers of Bravo figure out that Faye is poison and the show will not survive another season with her on ANY episode. She literally makes me ill and has no business on national TV.
Yolanda I love that you are now on the show -finally someone is on the show other than Lisa and Brandi that is a down to earth sincere person you mentioned in your blog about Kim and knowing her doctor (to be honest her behavior is still the same as it was in previous seasons when she was drinking) she comes across as being high as a kite most of the time perhaps she should not be on the medications she is on - if you know her doctor maybe she is abusing her medications - I always thought that a sober person is alcohol and drug free. I love your home and that you are proud to be a homemaker to your kids and husband you do it very well -- by the way Taylor is a liar so don't expect a honest answer from her and thank goodnes that phony Adrienne is off the show - Kyle has changed very much over the past seasons - she has not been a good friend to Lisa - if you ever get an opportunity to watch the reruns from other seasons you will see the change in her - I am so glad that you are a member of the cast you are a breath of fresh air!!!!
So from this blog, I'm gathering that Kim has let you down since returning from Paris. I imagine that's what Lisa was referring to in her blog when she pointed out that she's had a long history with Kim, and that you should wait tos peak up on how everyone treats Kim in your opinion. She said it subtly, but I got the point. Did you?
