Sutton Stracke Celebrates an Exciting Business Milestone: "People Did Not Believe in Me"
The RHOBH business owner opened up about "an important" moment in her career — and her castmates shared their thoughts.
Sutton Stracke recently celebrated a major moment for her business.
On Season 13, Episode 8 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton hosted a party to celebrate the four-year anniversary of her store, Sutton.
"I have dreamt of having a store for over ten years, and I got a store four years ago," she explained in an interview during the episode, which aired on December 13. "You know, I thought, 'This is sort of a sweet little thing that I'm doing.' All [of a] sudden it became a business, and then it became a bigger business." Additionally, she noted, she is now growing "a second business."
"Everything's happening quickly, and getting bigger and bigger and bigger," she continued. "And I've become a businesswoman."
While planning the event, Sutton said to her team members, "In four years, we are still here. We are alive. People did not believe in me. We really want to celebrate that."
"It's an important night for me, and I love that I'm doing it on my own," she added in an interview. "I didn't take anybody's money to do it, and that feels really, really good." When asked by a producer in an interview if she used her spousal support to start and run the business, Sutton declared, "Of course."

In the video above, Sutton gives a tour of her store and explains what inspired her to open it. "I wanted to bring all of my friends together," she says. "They're designers, jewelry designers, artists, everything, and I wanted them all in one place."
"I try to do exclusive things that you can't get around the corner or online," she adds. "Everything's for sale in here ... It's not just fashion. It's not just art. It's not just jewelry. It's everything."
The RHOBH cast reacts to Sutton's business milestone
Despite some unexpected rain, Sutton's party was a success, complete with gorgeous flowers and fancy food and drinks.
Although Sutton has had some tense moments with a few cast members this season, Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Annemarie Wiley were at the party to support her and rave about her accomplishments.
"I am so proud of Sutton," Garcelle said in an interview. "Four years is a big feat to have a store that's thriving, that's doing well."
"When I met her, she said to me, 'I haven't worked in 17 years,' and I thought, 'I got nothing in common with this bitch,'" Garcelle continued as she laughed. "And now, I love her."
At the party, Kyle told Sutton, "You should be proud of your store." In an interview, she added, "I ended up closing my store in Beverly Hills because the rent was so astronomical. So the fact that it's still going for four years, it's a good thing. A very good thing."
Erika shared the same sentiment. "The fact that Sutton is a business owner and is ambitious and has her own thing going on is really admirable because she didn't have to," she said. Dorit added: "My hat goes off to Sutton. I'm proud of her, I'm excited for her."
