Lea Black

Lea discusses Adriana and Fredric, and says what she will about the gala.

Marysol's wedding was stunning. What a beautiful blushing bride. I wish we all could have been there supporting her but I completely respect their wanting to make that moment only about them, as weddings can be stressful enough. Marysol, I wish you both a life filled with success, happiness, laughter, and lots of good sex!

Poor Alexia -- a car wreck! Glad you're OK. Sorry you missed the Gabriella Arango fashion show, but Cristy stepped up and modeled as "Barbie" and her sister and did a great job.

Now, about the lunch at Martorano's -- it was an hour drive for me so I was a bit lost and late. The food was delicious. And what about all those tattoos? Not only was that lunch interesting for many reasons, but it led me to someone who really needed help, and my husband and I are doing everything in our power to help him. Stay tuned for (hopefully) a miracle in the making! (Editor's note: we've got the scoop on the situation here.)

Adriana has never asked me to set her up with any man, rich or otherwise. I have never offered or suggested to set her up with any man! Like she needs me to fix her up? Now that's funny! Not too many months after I met her, she started dating Frederic, whom I loved from the first time I met him at Fisher Island during lunch. So the Adriana "uses or kisses up to Lea" so I will "introduce her to men with money" comment -- where did that come from? Another self-reflection?

Lea,

Recently you visited a young girls program and spoke about Goal Setting. It appeard that most of them were not engaged. As a field trip, I would suggest bringing those young girls into your home, and give your presentation there. Show them your fund raiser success, your business success, and have a third party speak go your ability to engage yourself in others lives like the beautiful lady that you helped to financially recover when her husband left her and her child. Once they see that you are truly someone who can Accomplish amazing things, rather you being an average non-profit volunteer, I think these girls might consider applying themselves, becoming mentally engaged, and take action(s) based upon your recommendations. Good luck, and I hope we can speak soon about having you helping me to establish a grand fund raiser like you demonstrated!!!

Well after reading all the fans posts I guess you figured out how much we love you. I wish I had a strong friend to hold me up sometimes too. Adriana is lucky to have you.

Lea, what percentage of the donations from your charity actually goes to the charity?

SWEET CHARITY: It's a FUNDRAISER! Hello. How do you effectively plan a fundraiser without prepaid contributions? Sorry but Cristy is wrong and way out of line. What, is Lea supposed to read Christy's mind? You do not show up to a fundraiser event without having RSVP’d having already paid, or at least letting your host/hostess know you plan on anteing up. Really, how would Lea know that Cristy intended to pay and was not simply trying to freeload? And she brings a presumably uninvited guest! There are inherent costs with any fund raising event (venue, catering, entertainment), doesn't Cristy get it. She, unsophisticated, naïve and has no class. Cristy's youth and inexperience is showing.

You are a class act Lea!

Lea,

I wanted to write to you and I can't find any way to do that but this way. I am watching Real Housewives right now and couldn't help but notice you are an amazing fundraiser. I am trying to raise $3000 for the SF Aids Foundation, for AidsLifeCycle, a bike ride from SF to LA. I was wondering if you had any advice or words of wisdom for fundraising for someone who has little resources and does not have contacts with a lot of money. Any advice would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

Were you SERIOUS when you said to Adriana that you would do a fundraiser to raise money for her son's private school tuition? I mean, SERIOUSLY.....I realize you see yourself as Queen Bee of Miami fundraising, and it seems you do an amazing job helping certain groups, but you went overboard with that statement. Who on earth would go to an event supporting a rich woman's "charity" case: that of her son's elite school tuition???!!! That was a little nuts.

Lea, you are the prettiest, sweetest most kind of all the HW's. I admire your charity work. I wsh more women in your position would help humanity the way you do. YOU GO GIRL!!! You need your own show and teach some of the selfish people how to help others. I'll watch and my friends would too. They love you.

Lea:

You are the real deal and what can be more natural than a person who represents herself as the real deal on a REALITY SHOW! Your candor, wit and unique sense of humor is so refreshing, never change. You are special in every way! BTW — JASON is a trouper! and loved the cameos by your friends... Can't wait to see WHAT HAPPENS next season!

Can't wait for tonight's show! Lea, you are the most intriguing of all the girls. My husband and I are huge fans of RHOM. Finally, there is a show we can watch on television together - without remote control "conflict"! LOL!

I don't think she toots her own horn, she is too busy helping the less fortunate. Did you read the compliments from a fan in Hawaii, just before yours. Most people feel the way she does, but can't put in perspective like she did. If you were as smart as you think you are the girls were afraid of the camera. After the camera was gone they opened up is what I understood.

Lea Black you are the reason we have been keeping up with the RHOM show! We LOVE you! You are an awesome and real lady! We appreciate how honest-fun & witty you are! We are looking forward to Tuesday! Please keep on keeping it real for all of us!! Love you lot's!!

Maybe you should look more into what Ms. Black does for the universe... evidentially you have no clue as to what this lady has done... I would toot my own horn too!

I agree, in that I think she is sincerely concerned about her friends, and her advice is spot on. She is untouched by what anyone else thinks of her.

I think you feel intimidated by some of the other women (trust me there all fluff) so you try to overcome it by acting so tough and like the meanie of the bunch..its not very becoming with all due respect. You come across brash, hard and sometimes a little bitter. What Christy did was horribly..cannot stand her, she is so superficial but do try to keep things in check too!

overthisshow

I go back and forth with you....one time I like you the other you seem very manipulative and calculating. Christy was 100% wrong and I do not like her at all, something very cheap and superficial about her...dont' trust her at all. I hope I will continue to like you more than dislike you.....so far not terribly impressed with the show..everyone seems so shallow and superficial. Hope it gets better otherwise I am not watching...

Lea, You truly blow me away with how talented you are in fundraising. I have never seen anyone quite as good and you seem to do it with ease. I have a degree in Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton a graduate In 1985. While I was involved in fund raising for Public Television, I also completed an internship in the Community Relations Department/Press and Publicity. My mentors were some of the best until I witnessed your talents, and I only was privileged a glimpse of all you do. I can see you feel a lot of fulfillment in your charity work, I just hope you get lots of pats on the back and thank you's. You of all housewives from all the different cities have more then any one of them in your pinky alone. You are extremely gifted and intelligent, creative, commanding, a real force of good in the charity world, I feel so fortunate to have been exposed to you, you are an inspiration. God Bless you and your family for all you do and for all they give up of you to let you do it. You should write a book, "Running A Charity 101." If you could spread your talent around, it would be such a contribution to the world. There are so many wealthy women out there wanting to use their time for worthly causes but need the training or a handbook. There are so many people hurting In this world right now, Haiti, Japan, Katrina... Linus, Africa. Young people In this country and so many of them dropping out of H.S., domestic violence, teen pregnancy, boys and girls clubs, art programs and sports programs that are not available in the schools anymore, homeless, foster homes, aids, the elderly the lonelily, teen suicide, bullying to name just a few. As Dali Lama preaches, "true happiness comes from giving." It comes back tenfold. Teach us how to do the fund raising on a grander scale so so many more of us can make a real impact. Thank you, I was so touched by your speech to the young girls. I will have to google you, I would even like to read your autobiography. Peace out- Judy Blye-Maui Hawaii

Lea,

You seem to toot your own horn too much. I am glad that you love to help people but I dont want to hear about it every minute of the show.

Did you even notice how bored those girls were when you gave that speech. You should pay more attention to them and not to yourself.

You are my favorite of the Miami Housewives because of your desire to help your community in a genuine way. You are the truly the only real housewife of Miami on the show - you have a husband, a kid, a home, all of which you are involved with and in your free time you show positive amazing energy and are a great example to others of how to "be there" for those less fortunate. Your time spent attempting to enhance the lifes of orphans, first time offenders who would otherwise become a part of "the system" ( ie your charity inspired by your husbands law practice) and may never get out of that cycle, your tierless efforts to be at the forefront of change for the better when called upon make you a champion in my book. Kudos to you. God bless you.

Lea is by far the most exciting member of the cast. Her personality and character show what a real housewife of Miami should be. She is an extremely generous person that is always giving back to the community. If you could only have one friend she would be the one to have.

Lea, you are a classy lady and did the right thing invoicing Kristy...she and Larsa are classless and tacky with their gossip and criticism of others. I would ban Kristy from attending any "charity" event since she thinks the appearance of her "fabulous," cheap, self-absorbed, gossipy self is more beneficial to the charity then a donation.

Lea I admire you very much. I posted before but it is not showing. I attended two of your galas, one at the CCofCG and back to your home for Barry Gibb and the theater party downtown. My son, who goes by Kirbykerb is a Miami rapper/songwriter more or less an Anglo Pitbull. I am sure he would love to perform at your gala. He is well known in Miami. I am a former mayor of Miami Shores and was on the Steve Kane radio show back when the William Kennedy Smith trial was going on and made local commentary. Way back then. Wondering if Patricia Delanois-Ferrero is going to be on the show? I can imagine she would be a huge crowd pleaser. Please go to my son's website Kirbykerb Kirby Kerb - We Made It

Hello Lea, I admire your charity very much. I attended the one at Coral Gables CC and then back to your house for Barry Gibb. Then the one downtown at the Guzman theater. Both fabulous. I wonder if Patricia Delanois-Ferraro will be on the show? I think fans would flip. I expected her to be featured as one of the housewives. Also my son is Kirbykerb a well known home grown rapper in Miami. He is like the anglo Pitbull. I am sure he would love to volunteer at the gala. Take care. I love your style of dress, in fact, mine is similar! I am a former mayor from many years back of Miami Shores.

Lea you are truly an inspiration to not only women but people everywhere. Your, One for all & all for One attitude is great. Not to mention What happened to your girlfriend Elaine on the show in the beginning? That was gearing up to be the best storyline ever. BRING HER BACK ON WITH YOU... Elsa Who? I live in a small town in Minnesota & when it's cold here we love watching beautiful Miami. YOU are the best of all the women, hands down. Thanks

Can't wait to watch the next episode....You are bold, charming and fun! That Cristy needs to get off her high horse...Bet that was the first time she has ever given to a charity...and only because she was held accountable. Maybe she should start a show that it "Charity Crashers".

You apparently have many admirable qualities. However, it must make you cringe when you see the video of you screaming at Christie on WWHL and then banging the phone receiver. Maybe you weren't getting enough sleep; that can make people act irrationally. Just learn from this situation in how to be gracious. Good luck.
