Season 1
I am writing my blog this week from Madison, Wisconsin. I am here with Frankie visiting a doctor in Communication Disorders at the University of Wisconsin. Frankie is suffering from aphasia, the inability to communicate due to injury to the brain. His ability to comprehend is there; he understands pretty much everything, and if he doesn't, he pretends he does, LOL.
Our biggest challenge will be his language and speaking full sentences. He is now saying two words, like "eat food," "take shower," and of course his favorite and mine, "I love you" (three words)! Marysol thinks it’s perfect, and she tells him that he is so cute he can get a girl with no words. (Wasn’t that Adriana’s tagline in Season 1?)
Anyhow, back to the show. In this episode I was only able to make it to Lea's committee meeting. As you can see, it’s a little difficult to get a word in. What I was trying to say was that there are two sides to every story and then the truth. I didn’t think it was fair to talk about Marysol when she wasn’t there to say her part and defend herself. Obviously, there are hard feelings on Elaine’s part, and that will be addressed in the episodes to come…
As far as the Mynt celebration, wow, some celebration that was! I'm just happy I wasn't there for all of that nonsense! Some of these ladies need to get their priorities straight.
that mynt celebration was too much drama for such an important event! youre right about one thing, good thing you weren't there, so childish.
God bless you and your family! Though I would love to see you more in this season I admire you for doing whats best for your family. All my best wishes for you and your family.
Its so good to see housewives really stick together like you and Marysol. You can tell you ladies are true friends.
You're a wonderful mom and you're my favorite housewife, hands down! Can't wait for the next episode.
You're my favorite! You can tell you are a beautiful person inside and out. God Bless you and your family and many prayers for your sons recovery. He is lucky to have a wonderful mom like you.
Much respect for you...for removing yourself from the conversation when Lea & the drag queen started acting petty and childish.
Best wishes to you and your family.
I I love the loyalty to your friendship with Marisol that you walked away and did not stay while they where bashing her without her being there to defend herself good for you she is lucky to have you as a friend
Oh my I am not even going to comment on the show because it seesm so trivial and meaningless next to what you are going through with your darling son.I will keep him in my prayers for a full recovery. May God watch over him and allow him a speedy recovery.
you are top of my favorite besides Ana, Lisa, Marysol and yes even Lea which im hoping she will come around. many blessings to you Frankie!!
Loved you the first season. Super nice person. Much love and light and prayers going out to you and your family and son.
Keep fighting, keep fighting, keeping fighting for Frankie. Everything else pails in comparison. Praying for you and your family.
Thank you for writing your blog and sending it in, in spite of the painful struggles taking place in Wisconsin. I admire your strength and our continued prayers go out for Frankie's Full recovery! What three words could be better then "I Love You." As you said, in your first blog, "It's not how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well you bounce!"
The whole "committee meeting" was uncomfortable to watch, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable it was for you...being there! As far as the Mynt celebration, I think You said it best...Wow!
We're looking forward to seeing more of you Alexia! Baby steps and God bless!
First of all, I wish you and your family the very best health and recovery, physically and emotionally. My family has been through the ringer the past few years, and boy, things do have a way of boiling right down to show you what and who really matters. In any case, I send you thoughts of strength to get you through this time. Doesn't sound easy. OK, now onto the fun stuff! Who designed the necklace you wore on WWHL? It was stunning and I want it!
Sending my love and best wishes- keep one foot in front of the other and be strong. You are very loved and so is your sweet boy Frankie. This love will help support you through the difficult times.
A a mother my heart is weeps for your pan if your son's plight as well as rejoices for all progresses he makes in his recovery. God has blessed you with his life and will continue to do so. Stay strong.
You are so down to earth! Tell Frankie to keep working hard. Your family is in my prayers. I agree with your blog. Don't talk about someone if they are not there to defend themselves.
You are about the only one on the show that seems to appear authentic. My best wishes for your family. Good for you for daring to want to stand up for Marysol, with so much one sided conversations going on.
You're son and family have been in my prayers since I read about his accident. It's encouraging to hear he is making progress and hopefully he will have a full recovery. It's lovely to see you on the show as you make a wonderful addition, a good person and loving mother.
You are a sweetheart wish you the best to you and your family!
Muchas bendiciones para Frankie, para ti, y toda tu familia.Stay strong, Besis! :-)
Wow, Alexia. I didn't know Frankie was in that deep of a recovery where communication for him is still minimal. As a mother, my heart breaks for when you went and are going through. But wow, do I admire your strength. What a wonderful mother you are and I won't say good luck with your son... I'll say just let know when he makes a full recuperation... because he will!
Welcome to Madison! I hope you are able to enjoy your time here :) It's great to hear Frankie getting better and better. Miss you as a full time housewife!
Good luck to your son. You're a great mom and your boys are beautiful. I hope if god forbid anything serious should happen to one of my kids I would handle it wonderfully as you have. You're a lovely person inside and out.
