Season 2
Season 1
Hi Sweethearts!
Did you miss me? Sorry I haven’t been guest blogging for New York the past couple of weeks, but things have been so crazy since my season started and my book came out. I was on a book tour, went to LA, got my girls’ pictures taken, and celebrated my birthday. It’s been so crazy! But so great as well. My book Skinny Italian hit the New York Times bestseller list this week!!! If you bought a copy, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me. And if you haven’t gotten it yet, but are thinking about it, it’s not only over 60 healthy recipes for delicious, easy-to-cook Italian food, there’s also tons of other information in it: how to buy olive oil, how to dress sexy, "Six Rules for Loving Your Food and Having it Love You Back." You will LOVE it, I promise.
Of course, you’re all New York fans, and I’m a straight shooter, so I wanted to clear up right now that the title of my book had nothing to do with Bethenny (please!). Books take a long time to publish, and when mine was going to print, her only book was her first book: Naturally Thin. My publisher wanted to get across that my authentic Italian recipes were "skinny" - you get it? I make "skinny" Italian food. When Bethenny decided to name her second book the Skinnygirl Dish, my book was already to press. But really, Skinny Bitch was out a year before both of our books, and there are a million books with "skinny" in the title. Bethenny’s books are great, but totally different. Mine is about living the Mediterranean lifestyle, has full color photographs and nutritional information for all the recipes, tons of fun facts and even a little behind-the-scenes Housewives gossip. So there you go. You can love, love, love us all! We certainly all love you guys!
By the way, an official congrats to Bethenny on the birth of baby Bryn. She is gorgeous!
I am a hot-blooded Sicilian woman and next to you I don't seem so crazy! After watching you (table-flipping, etc.) my husband learned what "normal" is for an Italian and has stopped thinking I am nuts.
"In Sicily, women are more dangerous than shotguns." - from "The Godfather"
Teresa, Your girls are so funny, like little minis of you mixed with a little of your husband. My husband and I still laugh about Melania's little socks shuffle in the store. He says she did it on purpose; I say she's the youngest (this was before the new baby) like me, and is just venting her frustration at being controlled by the older siblings and adults. I get it ; it not easy being the Baby!
Teresa, I love, love, love you and your family! You are FAB ULOUS!
I do think they should have let you beat Danielles ass after the table flip. Congrats on a beautiful baby girl who is already a major fashionista!
I did buy your book and I loved it. Good recipes and very entertaining also. The little sections with Joes input are really funny and the names of some of your dishes are pretty inspired!
Teresa, you're beautiful! You're the only reason I watch RHNJ anymore! You're kids and husband are terrific and you crack me up. Nothing wrong with bein' a Jersey Girl! G's accent is adorable. Love, love, love!
Best Wishes && Congrats on your new addition
Teresa your recipe book is making me a great cook! Thanks!
Love you and your family, you are so blessed, praying for blessings on me and my family.
I tried to order some bracelets on your shop page and keep getting error messages
Teresa,
Love, love, love you!!! Your girls are too cute!!! I am a total spoiling mom also. I love my kids and I am committed to giving them the best life possible. It is so refreshing to see a mom who loves her kids and puts them first!!!
Keep up the great work and never change!!
TERESA,love ya. Do you have a money tree? Sure pray God bless me with one soon.
Teresa, you are the BEST!!!!! Only wish you could go to NY and show Ramona, Alex, Bethany and Kelly what real Class is like and what a real attitude is all about. You go girl, you are awesome!
Love, love, love your book! I'm almost finished with it. I'm going today and getting basil to grow and a pretty bottle for olive oil. I have the same issue with my hubby and not being able to live up to his mama's cooking. It doesn't help that she lives next door either. Anyhoo, I just wanted to say, in the book you are a little harsh on some of the other housewives, but it was funny. Don't be too harsh on Bethenny though. I think the two of you together would be hilarious! FYI, I bought Bethenny's book, Naturally Thin, and I have to say, yours is much better. Sorry Bethenny! I just had a hard time following her book and didn't even finish it. I still love her though.
I think you and your family are fabulous! Kelly is the Danielle of New York And needs a table tossed her way so you need to get to NY!!
Teresa-
All of your book signings are out east! Could you make it to Texas? Or somewhere West-ish?
Teresa, you are my role model. You seem to have it all togther. Family, friends and life all toghter. thanks
Theresa,
Your little model daughter is fabulous! She is too cute. I hope all her dreams come true.
I LOVE YOU! You are so funny and cute! Totally buying your book.
Hi Teresa,
Love you! One question: why were you in so much pain giving birth if you had an epidural? I didn't feel a thing with both of mine. If you have any more, you need to tell them to crank it up! Congratulations on the birth of Audriana, beautiful name, beautiful baby, beautiful family!
Teresa, your baby is like an angel , so beautiful.I'm Italian and have been cooking Italian food all my life.I make a great meatball!I saw you and Caroline on Rachael Ray.What kind of meatballs did this Italian lady submit? No sauce...my Mother is rolling over in her grave! While I don't doubt they were tasty....they are not meatballs.Meatballs are round, and full of garlic and parsley,et.These were mini meat loafs or glorified hamburgers.Yours (joes) looked delicious. That's what a meatball looks like...From a Mom, great italian cook and jersey Girl!!!!!!
teresa,
i just love your family!
just a note - save some of your money girl! it's not good for your kids to see you spending so much on material things - they see that and think it's more important than it really is. trust me, my husband's mom and dad spent their millions just as fast as it came in and although money was never an issue in their family and still isn't, my husband mentions it to this day how unfavorable that was in his growing up. he doesn't remember the material things that his mom and dad bought for him, he remembers the moments he shared with them. and i can vouch for that in my own life. just something to think about.
-teresa :o)
Teresa you are a beautiful women. Good luck on your sucess.
Congratulations on your new baby girl, she is beautiful. You were too funny in the hospital, can't say i blame you for wanting to wear your own outfit the gowns in the maternity ward are never great but you looked beautiful.
I'm going to look for your cookbook; sounds yummy! Even though you are glamorous pretty, you actually come across very real and sincere. And when you smile, I bet your whole house lights up. You are fun to watch.
Teresa - If Bethenny was given her own NY spin-off show, then you should also get your own NJ spin-off show (based on your book/cooking etc). I would love love love to see it!
Teresa,
Your new baby girl is beautiful, just like her momma! I was so touched that Dina was chosen as Audriana's god-mother. Even I had tears of joy from watching you both. Love you, Teresa!
Teresa, you are A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E !!! So are those girls and hubby. It makes me happy to see the world take notice that being a wife and mommy doesn't mean you don't have a life. Your job is the sweetest job a mom can have.
I cried when you said that Joe's daughters will always be there for him...because son's leave. Funny, my father's name was Joe, and he was my be all and end all. If, he needed me or if he told me the family needed me...I was there. But, truth be told, I did it mostly for him, because he asked and he was my daddy. I cry everyday and kiss his picture everyday since he died. Keep the Italian heritage and love of family going. We're a dying breed that needs to keep going and show society that we know how to love and embrace parents and family.
Congrats on your new daughter, Audriana. She's lovely. I enjoy watching HONJ and HONYC. You and Bethenny are my favorites. You are both real, very funny and the genuine article. Don't you housewives and the public have any influence on the producers of the show in geting Daniele (or whatever her name is) off the show? She brings a criminal element to the show which is very disturbing. On that subject, they really should get Kelly off HONYC also. That woman needs professional help. Neither of these women adds anything to the shows.
Teresa, I saw you and Caroline on Rachael Ray Show.I agree, an Italian meatball is not a meatball without sauce.I've been cooking for many years, mostly Italian food from when I helped my Mother at about 5 years.(i'm now 67)Though Carolines may have been good, that's not a meatball.Maybe a glorified hamburger or a mini meatloaf.I'm Italian and from N.J. too so I call it like it is!
Congratulations and God Bless, the baby is beautiful and you are an amazing Mom. Who puts lipstick on when they are in labor. your husband makes me laugh. He tries to be all tough but he has a heart of gold.
I have no idea if you will ever read this but I am about to become a Nona for the first time and I want to buy the hats that Audriana wore in the hospital. your girls clothes are amazing. Stay as true to yourself as you are,
I am on my way to amazon to buy your book, did your family make zeppoli's you know fried dough some with anchovies (yuk) and some sweet.. I laughed during the segment about the tomato gravy and not being allowed to make it if you had your period. I hated doing that so I ALWAYS had "the curse" when it was time to go to aunt annie's cellar to do it with fresh jersey tomatoes. God Bless your family, stay away from Danielle and please let me know where to buy the hats for my little grandaughter, her name is going to be scarlet rose for me and my Mom who passed away. she is going to be a Diva too.
Teresa- I see that your house is for sale. Why ? Now that you're famous are you moving to Franklin Lakes ?
Teresa, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE ya ! *Mwah mwah* Haha, you are the best housewife. You are REAL, have great style, funny personality and you will let someone have it if they need it. I have always wanted all girls- and you make me 100% sure of it, talk about fun !

I love love love your personality. I love how you mentioned that you read all the comments that get posted :) Also you are a gorgeous pregnant lady!
Teresa, I loved your table flip and I really like your blog as well. Of all of the Housewives, you seem to have the most common sense. You read characters and situations very well. I'll be buying your cookbook. Maybe the secret is in the sauce.
Teresa, would love to see you go toe to toe with Jill Zarin and Kelly .......All I can say is....these ladies have entirely too much time on their hands...and absolutely no class.
All I could say, if I lived in Jersey, and was Italian, without a doubt I would want to be you. Keep it tight...
I LOVE U SO MUCH I LOVE HOW U LOVE TU KEEP UR KIDS LOOKN GOOD @ ALL TIMES DRESSD ALIKE AND EVERTINHG JUS KEEP THE DRAMA AWAY AND WE'RE GOOD LOL
Teresa,
I think you are such a Beautiful person...your daughters are beautiful as well, and i just love how you keep it real all the time. You are Fabulous and I Love it!!!! You make the Housewives of New Jersey!!!!
Audriana is stunning like her sisters! Congrats!
Teresa congrats on your book! you're great and definitely my favorite housewife :)i wish you and your adorable family all the best !
Love the book;)-thats good so many blessings have came your way and the birth of your daughter.Ms.Dina is a perfect person to be your daughters God Mother.
You are the most gorgeous mother, and your new daughter is equally beautiful. I feel bad for you that Danielle is on the show. The preview they showed of the low lifes she has decided to hang out with are pretty scary looking.
Your book is great, and I wish you and yours much health and success.
LOVVVEEEE YOUUUUUU TERESA! My absolute favorite housewife :)
Teresa - YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!love, love love
Love ya Teresa, you make me laugh.
You're a doll!!! I love watching you and your family!
Hey T,
OMG, I'm with you on the NY housewife episode...how sad to be in such a wonderful place with your girlfriends and have it turn into a horror show! God Bless Ramona, Alex, Sonja and Bethenny for finally realizing Kelly was twisted. I felt the whole life being sucked out of me. Then to see Jill in the preview showing up just pushed me over the edge! I'm going to record this week because I don't think I can see it when it first airs...I'll never get to sleep.
Love your show and the family. I got a real kick out of the sauce making. When I was growing up in Jersey in the 60's we lived next door to an Italian family and they'd do the same thing and the wife would make ravioli...I came home from school one day and my mother had sheets covering the beds upstairs with freshly made pasta 'rounds' all over the place...it was hysterical because my mom was Irish/German and here she is being an apprentice Italian with the wife next door. Watching you ladies makes me homesick for Jersey.........keep laughing and remember, all Jersey Girls Rock!.
I don't watch NJ, only NYC. But, I like you. And I didn't catch "satchel of gold". I am glad you pointed that out.
I just adore you! Thanks for stating so sweetly what we were all thinking! You are the best!
