Carole Says Dream Big

In her final dispatch of the season, Carole encourages the viewers to apply their kindergarten teachings.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking the ride with me this season, and welcoming the new cast members and for all of your funny and inspiring comments, emails, and tweets. I appreciate the support because when I told my real life friends I was thinking about being on a reality show they tried to stage an intervention. It was a risk, but in life we all know there is no reward without risk. And like my Grandma Millie says, “Sometimes you have to jump in scared.”

A little voice inside me said "buy the ticket, take the ride," so I did and I’m glad. I am shy by nature and private by training so it was out of character for me, but I believe these are the times where you learn the most about yourself. Sometimes you have to fly when the window is open, take the open shot, throw for the end zone, eat the little cake.

I hope you’ve learned through watching me that there is value in every life experience even if it seems counterintuitive at first. You should take chances. Sometimes you have to bet on yourself to win. I feel like a winner because I never compromised my integrity or lost my sense of humor.

To all you loyal viewers, my wish for you is to get acquainted with that sense of adventure within yourself. Dream big. Don’t listen to people who say who do you think you are? To steal from Victor Hugo, jealousy is an admission of inferiority. Look for similarities in people but remember to celebrate their differences.

Robert Fulgham wrote a great book called, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. He said to play fair, clean up your own mess, and don’t hit people. Take a nap each afternoon, say you’re sorry when you hurt someone, wash your hands before you eat, and flush.

But above all, be aware of wonder.

This concludes the final dispatch from Radziwill headquarters, Season 5 Episode 20.

Best to you,
Carole

Kristen: Sonja Is Good at Doing the Unexpected

Kristen explains why Sonja's magazine party was a turning point for their relationship.

Ramona and Dorinda meeting for dinner:

It's nice to see the history and friendship Ramona and Dorinda have and the fact that Dorinda can be that reliable friend for Ramona while she is going through this transition in her life. I think with all that Dorinda has been through in her life, she is extremely understanding and can provide good advice and support. It's refreshing to hear Ramona speak so openly about her situation and so unlike Ramona to be so vulnerable, but I think it is a healthy way for her to process through it all. Typical man fashion is once the woman is done and ready to move on the guy wants you back, and “word on the street” is Mario wants her back! WOW...

I was so impressed with Carole holding court at her fav little restaurant LEFT Bank and having a board meeting for her building. It made me think of her being this big corporate executive and working her angles to get the support she needed...GO Carole…however, if you ever lived in NYC, you hear all the stories of these co-op building and condos and how much power and control the board of the building has on controlling your building and essentially your living conditions in the building to the point they can control who you even sell your apartment to and who they let live in the building. I am really loving how serious and passionate Carole is about getting on the board, and she is such a good people person and reasonable I think she would do a fabulous job. BTW, who wouldn’t want a PRINCESS on the board? #DOORGATE

Bethenny’s therapy session was really hard to watch, because it makes you realize what type of childhood she had and how much drama and probably emotional trauma she was exposed to at such an early age. I can only imagine how hard it was for Bethenny to hear the therapist trying to rehash those days and memories and how difficult it must be for her to have to talk about it. I really felt bad for her and thinking about what she went through, and it all makes sense to me on why she is probably so guarded and why it's hard for her to trust people. I really wanted to just give her a hug and tell her how much I respect her for having to go through all that.

Sonja's big event and cover party:

One thing for sure about Sonja Morgan is she knows how to bring it, and she looked so stunning and beautiful on the cover! WOW! I am still trying to figure out the connection with Sonja Morgan, born and raised in the US, and a connection to a Latin magazine/lifestyle, but what the heck, it is Sonja Morgan, and she is the ultimate chameleon! It was funny, because I was speaking to the editor of the magazine, and the editor made the point that Sonja was wearing the dress of a Latin designer, so maybe that was the necessary criteria to be on the cover? Either way, good for Sonja Morgan. She is always good at doing the unexpected.

This party was a turning point for me with Sonja. Sonja was in her element hosting this fabulous party, and she had all her friends and TEAM there to support her, and even better, she was not drinking and was totally on point. I actually also met the same team Bethenny met who were running her Fashion Collection, and they actually had a lot of the answers to Bethenny’s and Heather's questions about her line and the retailers they were going out to. They also pointed out in the magazine she was wearing her collection, so hey, maybe there is a real Sonja Morgan Collection about to hit the retail doors, and we can go and buy it. I forgot to ask if the Saudi Prince or the Nigerian soccer team were the financial backers, but in all seriousness, I am happy to see her making progress, and maybe she has been working really hard behind the scenes and going to WOW us all. At the end of the day, she is a positive and talented person, and I only want the best for her, and I will support her.

Carole’s election results were in and the drum roll, please...SHE WON! I really felt she would win, but you never know with all the different personalities and politics involved, but I am so happy she won, and I think she was relived as well. How about those pigs in a blanket! I am a CT girl, and I always loved pigs in a blanket, but the smell of them taking over her whole apartment was probably not for everyone. I was dying when she said they had been in the freezer for three years. I don’t think pigs in a blanket are like fine wines and get better with time, but oh well. I ate them and loved them, and I am still here to write about it!
For a long time I wanted to speak with Sonja and let her know I meant no disrespect when I called her delusional, and I really do like and support her. I feel like after her Latin event magazine and her clothing line actually coming, this is going to be Sonja’s moment and the truth is I think everyone will be there to cheer her along to success!
