A man goes to his doctor and says, "Doctor, I have a sexual performance problem. Can you help me?"
"Of course! That's not a problem for men anymore." says his doctor. "There's a new wonder drug now called Viagra." The doctor gives the man a prescription and sends him on his way. A couple of months later, the doctor runs into his patient on the street.
"Doctor," says the man excitedly, "I've got to thank you. This drug works like a miracle!"
“I'm glad to hear that," says the pleased physician. "What does your wife think?"
"Wife?" asks the man, "I haven't been home yet."
Everyone gets set up in this episode. Ramona was set up at the blind wine tasting. Reid's mother is getting set up with 40-year-old studs. Sonja's getting set up with George. The setups have us all riveted.
What a delight, your singular sense of humor transports me...since I am in Portland I should go stomp some grapes. I know! Sonja should be in St. Tropez with her staff and gowns, the TOW is only just beginning :) And Aviva is the picture of cool, calm composure-even when she was 'uninvited' from her own bathroom by Ramona and Sonja...you make it all so funny...reading the blogs backwards apparently ;), Xxx
You are too funny! I'm worried you're too fabulous to stick around! I feel this nonsense will eventually become a bore...or in Bravo terms "a Luanne"...
You are awesome! I love your blogs, love your wit and the style of your writing. I'm now going to download your book. The previews seem pretty interesting. You new folks are just what this show needed and it's so nice (just my opinion) to see less of Ramona and more of you guys! (Curtsies to show the title respect) LOL
When your huband's father became a British citizen, he was stripped of his Polish prince title because obviously you need to be part of the British monarchy to have a title there. So when your husband was born, he didn't get the title of prince right? So that doesn't make you a princess right? Please clarify or you'll just be like the countess trying to milk a title........
I can't wait every week to read your blog. Yet, now after the London trip and the hilarious way you handled Luann, I'm can't wait to see what you will do, to handle some of these crazy women, AND read your blog every week. Someone was sticking up for Lu and were kind of rude to you on your comments board. On this show Luann has acted like a snob and is clueless as to the rude and narcissitic things she says and does constantly. In a show like this, I always scratch my head and say "what, did she just say?" I wish that anyone who is her best friend would stick to her blog and continue to build her up, rather than come to yours and insult you. You are too divine, and always understand the things that should be and shouldn't be done in the world to get along with people. Also, you have respect for the people that deserve it, no matter what thier status in life is! I love and adore having you on a reality show, so that we can all get to know you and enjoy your wonderful personality! Best wishes always.
Is official! You have done it! Once I read the comments of some haters, it was a revelation: move away Kardashians here come the single girl empire. Once you have haters you know you have struck a nerve. We need your voice. Mwah!
The only one to effectively stand up to Luann! Bravissimo! I love how smart you are and yet how you don't take yourself took seriously. Yo are the new Greek chorus
You are super cool! Way too cool to be bothered with LuAnn You are so much better and she is just plain jealous. You are a sweetheart and so not uptight. If the show got rid of Ramona and LuAnn the rest of you guys wouldn't have job because they wouldn't have a show the rest of you have too much class and not nearly enough drama! Plus the rest of you are NUTS like like Ramona and LuAnn
Hi Carole...I adore you. You are the absolute New Yorker, and adapt to any environment. I love your laid back style, your intellect, and how you just chill and are so NORMAL. YOU ARE HILARIOUS and I don't think these women GET your sense of humor, completely. I only watch the show for you. You remind me of when I lived in NY. I also love how you are so polite, and even when you need your rest, and you are jet lagged, etc., you seem to have it together. Simply love you! I hope they keep you around to even out the insaneness of the rest of the bunch. Kat
Hello Carole, I had to create an account just to get to comment on how awesome I think you are!!! Talk about being COOL, without even trying...........or better yet............KNOWING just what a cool chick you are! So fun to hear your comments on screen and off. Those ladies are NUTS and live in a very different world............pretty much wrapped up so tight in themselves that they have lost any sense of social graces!!! Looking forward to more of your wit and insight and the normal-ness you bring to the show...........without being boring!!!!
I don't like this kind of "cool". She is homely, detached, and thinks getting a drawn-on tatoo helps her identify with the 99%. This is ridiculous. Her social grace consists of observing others and then criticizing them, having an odd open relationship with men, wearing clothes that are usually too young for her, and having some kind of weird surgical procedure on her mouth. She is talented as a writer...that is about it.
cwife1972 that's what writers do.... they observe ... and then comment. you are right that she is a very talented writer.
cwife1972 "Her social grace consists of observing others and then criticizing them..." Pot, meet kettle...
It is OFFICIAL!!! Oprah is now OFF my "Most Favorite Person in the World You'd Want to Have Lunch With" list and you're TOTALLY IN!!! Although, as cool as you are, in my fantasy we'd have a couple of shots (ok...probably more than a couple), and sit at one of those New York City sidewalk restaurants and make fun of all the passers-by...and then you'd love me so much (not in a les way) you'd invite me to stay and we'd do it all over again the next day haha! It's obvious....my girl can HANG!!!! love, Love, LOVE YOU!!!!!! (not in a les way :) Your blogs are a damn HOOT!!!!! (and P.S...I've NEVER had a real housewife on that lunch list of mine ;)
Hahaha! I LOVE your tongue in cheek humor! Thank you for not taking yourself so seriously and for being willing to call Luann out on her high school behavior. You obviously have a healthy view of yourself and are secure in it. Whereas Luann has a bit of an inferiority complex and is spitting symptoms all over the place! She's a "Emperor with No Clothes" kind of gal. Luann is pretending she's dressed in royal robes, while the rest of us can see her embarrassing nakedness....sad, really. We're all flawed....let's admit and celebrate it, instead of being so foolish to think we're perfect. Thanks for being real by saying, "But she's not wearing any clothes!!" We all knew it anyway, but didn't want to come right out and say it.
You crack me up! Love your razor like wit - Your close was marvelous! The only thing is that you fogot to provide link to your iTunes song. Laughed througout your blog - should be working and had to finish your blog first -
Carole, You are an amazing example of a women who survived the loss of her husband. I lost the love of my life four months ago and you give me hope to go on. Thanks for being such a fun hotrod to watch and read....... keep on keeping on girl! (and you aint no princess by the way.... You are the QUEEN of Courage!)
You are by far a breath of fresh air! Your blogs are insightful, humrous and to the point. Extremely entertaining. Not surprised you are a well known writer and author. I have to say I do love all the cast members for different reasons - hence the dynamics on the show. I think Sonia and Ramona are so entertaining and they are bat sh-- crazy which I love, love. You have a sparkle that you bring to the party that I love! xoxoxo keep it moving
I signed up for Bravo JUST so that I can comment on your blogs. HILARIOUS!! You would be so much fun to hang out with at a party and just listen to your comments. Can definitely tell you are a journalist. Thanks for making me laugh!! :)
Hey... I'm not trying to be mean but who the he!! do you think you are?? Just because of your last name does NOT give you the license to talk about anyone, especially Lu. Now that lady is ALL women, has class and more. You need to check yourself before you mention ABC anymore, I mean can you say it enough to get it across?? Who cares! I know I'm sick of hearing it.

Carol, I LOVE how you have managed to entertain and delight us with your blogs! I love your writing style and keep waiting for more each week. I love to read and you keep it fun for sure!
I was also surprised that Luann asked to borrow a dress. Some posts are saying that is common, but I was always taught it's not polite to ask for favors and especially just after meeting somebody! I would have been horrified if it had been me too. Just saying....
I love how you have the ability to just be casual, but also handle yourself in a variety of environments. I sort of have the opinion that you went ahead and joined the show to continue some research and thought "what the heck". It is also a good way to introduce your book and from what I'm hearing, I'm planning on getting a copy.I love how you have excellent insight to what each situation with the ladies really entail and how you recreate it back to us each week with such humor and you don't mind just being yourself, even joking around about yourself talking about someone else and admitting it, LOL. You put the faults out there, but also include your own, lol, how refreshing!
I think Ramona can be difficult, but definitely entertaining. I try to like Luann, but usually she says or does something to make me scratch my head. I I wish Sonya would pull it back in a little at times, but love her, she's fun. Aviva, hmm....not sure yet. Seems nice, but I'm sensing that she might agree with whomever she's with, but I hope not. Heather, well...not a chance. I wanted to like her, but she's just too much for me. I think she's sort of high on herself even though she "tries" to be casual and fit in. Her "slang" is over the top...just doesn't sound right in a business setting. I hate the "holla." Belongs in the street, not in a meeting, LOL! Don't feel right about the fake smile at times...
Well, in a perfect world, I would get to meet you and would love to hang out with you. LOL! You would be so fun to spend time with and would make an awesome friend. Thank you for coming to the show and adding a new element I've never seen on any of the Housewives series! Take care!!
Wow you sound like a total mean girl. I loved you in the first episode or two but your comments about Luann are a turnoff. I think you may be jealous of her, as it is the only explanation of why you are so harsh on her.
Carole, Thank you for your blogs, I look forward to them every week. I wasn't going to watch RHNY this year because of the changes in the cast but I am so glad I did. You are a hoot and a half! ( Now I am going to run right out and buy your book!)
Do you really think you should be making fun of LuAnn's looks? You really go out of your way to comment on her looks and the way she speaks. You are the odd looking one on the show. I don't always like the thing LuAnn says but when it comes to looks you don't compare.
Cathiann - I think you are missing Carole's wit She isn't being vicious - she is being playful and entertaining. Frankly I love her dry humor and it lends or interesting reading. I have friends for over thirty years and we all get together and some like each other better han others and when we aren't all together we do talk about those that aren't present. It's a right of passage. Not sure if it's a generational or age thing (I am in my late 40's) but it does go with the territory. Carole is aware that LuAnn is attractive and TALL -
A few other things that start with "P"..... Piquant, Pert, Perfection!
Thank you for joining this show and for writing these "p"erspicacious blogs.
Carole, your blog is the best! I love your witty perspective on the show and observations on life - will definitely read anything you ever write!
You are great. The show has been lacking without Bethenny’s sarcasm and irreverence. Please do not disappoint and get into any shouting matches, your intelligence will outshine any over talking bully.
I think I like Aviva, am on the fence about Heather, love-hate Ramona and am just tired of the classless Countess, but love you – you little peanut head.
i don't know...some people here complained about the 8 page blog...i thought YAY!!! More Carole!! Absolutely LOVE the way you write and your take on the show.
Love the blogs! Not too long, but too short! I love the dry, quick wit. Thank you - they are laugh out loud, by yourself, hilarious. You seem to be the only 'Housewife' who truly gets the ridiculousness of it all. Keep them coming!!
I love the way you call out Luann! You do it better than Bethany and with less acid. Much better than Ramona and with much more class. Luann hasn't met her match--you are her superior. Bravo!
I thought I liked you at first, but you're a major drama queen! And apparently you can''t handle having an adult conversation with other women. What Lu does is not 'one upping' you , as you say, but just discussing things she has in common with you. It's called conversing. I believe you are a very jealous person. You also didn't like Ramona supposedly "one upping" you when she said "Can I share some good news also"... you spend so much time worrying about the spotlight being taken off of you, but you talk about the other women as if that's what they are doing!
gibsontara34 You're kidding right? Luanne is relentless... name dropping, one-upping, I'm so glade somebody is calling her out.
gibsontara34 Im not a Luaan fan but Carole did over react...of all the cast I expected it least to come from her. She spent almost the entire show consumed over Luaan which is unneccessary.
I don't know. I really really really detect false humility and passive-aggressive traits in you.
I love reading your blogs each week- So funny and witty! Me and my sister love that you are an addition to the housewives.
Hi Carole, now my week will start. Just so refreshing, your take on everything. Sure wish I had your lens to see life through. You make this show so enjoyable to so many of us. Sometimes, people take this all too serious. But you give us a true reality check.
Wow, I enjoyed reading your blog so much. I loved your view on all that is going on. You captured all characters in their different situations and gave us a flawless piece of art to enjoy reading.
