It was interesting for me to see how the ladies in London were interacting with each other. I really thought they would have a problem with Heather and instead it was LuAnn. Watching Heather in London, I did see a side of her I liked. Watching how LuAnn acted in London reminded me how she can be so condescending and why I have had problems with her in the past.
Which leads me to the wine event LuAnn invited us all to. Here I thought LuAnn and I are finally getting along and instead she is trying to set me up with my Ramona Pinot. LuAnn's boyfriend Jacques only sells French wines so naturally I assumed I was tasting a French wine such as a Puligny-Montrachet or a Pouilly-Fuissé which is deep in flavor and complex. Pinot Grigio is an Italian and a very light wine with no depth or complexity. That's why you can drink it anytime, anywhere, with or without food.
I enjoy all wines and was looking forward to tasting some new ones. LuAnn and Jacques set me up hoping I would say something negative about my Ramona Pinot. I don't understand why LuAnn thinks by trying to make me look bad that I am being a good sport. To say I was shocked is an understatement. It was the last thing I was expecting and it left me speechless.
I did not realize how appalling LuAnn's actions were until Aviva brought it up at dinner. I knew it was mean spirited of LuAnn but I didn't want to go back to the negative energy between us. I really don't know how I'm going to address this with her but I know I will have to.
Ramona your cool, and you were a good sport, LuAnn has nothing going for her other than her dried up title she totally tried to humiliate you
I rarely give much thought to the husbands of the New York Housewives, and never know what to make of Mario and Ramona. She's a volatile person who has no problem speaking her mind..
But in this case, I have to say, " Good for you, Mario!" You come across as a relatively easy-going guy who let's his wife take center stage, but there are times to draw the line. You said exactly what should be said to exactly the guy who needed to be told.
Way to go Mario! Nice way to stick up for the little woman!! Loved it!!! Ramona? I love that you are so open mouthed and intelligent and successful, and even over the TV, I get the feeling that Heather and LuAnne are creeps, however, Ramona? There are ways to get along amicably, even with creeps.
#1.) Don't drink around them. You appear to be much faster on your feet and much classier when you are NOT drinking. Also, it appears you're behavior around them is less vile when you're not drinking. No need for a class act like you to sink in the mud with the creeps, right?
#2.) Creeps are NEVER going to get it. Just accept that fact. Don't gossip about them, don't feed into the bs surrounding them - do YOUR thing!
Now, get on with it, show us what Ramona's all about MINUS the creep-like behavior, k?
Ramona...for once, please take the high road...even it was meant to be mean spirited I would not give LuAnn the satisfaction of knowing that it bothered me; not to mentioned you knew that it was your wine.
Ramona.. I agree that it was underhanded of LuAnn..but good God, how on earth could you NOT recognize your own Pinot? I mean, you seem to have a glass of it in your hand in every frame of film, with the bottle conveniently placed for product promotion. I could see being confused if you thought it was a foreign vintage, but to have said you disliked it, even if you were assuming it to be an Italian vintage, seems rather damning of your own brand.
I can't believe Ramona's feelings aren't hurt by Andy Cohen's all too obvious dislike for her, far more than any other other housewife in all the franchises. She is constantly the object of ridicule on Watch What Happens Live. It isn't always true that it doesn't matter what they say about you, as long as they spell your name right.
wow really Ramona "no one is allowed other than Mario" how 4th grade.... thinking middle school is where you belong to relearn the growin up part ya missed something...
There have been several people who have said they wanted you to sign a bottle of pinot they purchased from you and you wanted to make them pay you to sign the bottle. Is this true, are you seriously charging people for autographs?
Although I do agree that LuAnn can be very condascing, I don't think it was meant to embarass you at all. I'm sure it was all in good fun to see if you could identify your own wine, which you most certainly did. You can't assume that everything she says or does (to you) is intended to hurt you. Ramona, you really need to learn how to let things go. Also, stop talking about Aviva's leg, It's childish and it's rude.
Hi, I don't think it was a set up, I saw it as a game...and you played it well Ramona. Don't, please, don't listen to them trying to start problems and putting all these negative thoughts in your head...it was simply a wine tasting game...don't look to much into it.
Ramona, I don't know that you ever personally read these posts, or that you care! But just incase... this is my first time at reading the blogs from your show and therefore my first time to respond. I am very surprised at your ill mannered behavior sometimes! You were VERY rude to Heather! You made insensitive remarks not long ago about Luann's parenting style!! You are a mature woman and such lack of class is beneath you!
Ramona you'e always honest and don't ever make excuses for how you feel or what you think. I admire that in you.
should we always say what we think? is it important for others to always hear our opinions?why?
I agree that LuAnn did, in fact, set you up, at the wine night. It was a mean spirited thing to do. Perhaps the question becomes, "why" she did it? Is it retribution? Is it revenge? Is it because she genuinely does not care for you? I don't know. There may be many other possible answers. The fact that someone went to that much trouble might be more telling about you and your interactions with others than anything else. A possibility.
I admit to not being sure about your behavior. Is it exaggerated because of the cameras? Is it a deliberate act? Is it genuine and just who you are? Wow, I just can't figure that out. Whatever the reason, what "we" see is the end result and form our opinions about you based on your pattern of behavior. Mine says that the behavior is usually mean, illogical, and scattered.
I don't agree with unfiltered comments aimed to hurt someone ,yet delivered under the cloak of "just being honest". I would much rather someone talk behind my back then say hurtful things to me in front of the cameras or in front of a room full of people. It's not nice in any forum to set out to hurt someone's feelings.
There are a lot of different kinds of honesty. Honesty is a virtue. Saying things that are mean because you feel mad at someone, or judgmental, is not virtuous.it is just not nice. I have NEVER seen Ramona truly nice. She is always on the lookout or how things affect her...only.
I know its time to dump Ramona from the show and maybe the whole show altogether. The new girls just don't make it. The show is so boring and nothing to look forward to anymore.
I agree with you. The show has become boring. The other Housewife shows are more interesting and it's a shame because you would think the show being from NY (my hometown) it would be full of interesting people and great storylines. But I guess not.
maybe because the truly interesting New Yorkers wouldn't be caught dead in a reality TV show?
My favorite part is seeing Ramona being held accountable for her behavior. It is great. She is really nervous. I think she blew up at Sonja because she thought Sonja "liked" Heather more than her because she when to Heather for business advice. I think there are tons of drama, it just has more layers.
macombmommy I am not bored either!! I think the new girls are just what was needed to make the show fresh. I also love that Ramona is being held accountable. She really is very poorly behaved and her "I say what I want" line is getting old. I also love when she says Heather must insecure and jealous of her. Delusional!!
LuAnn clearly thinks she is better than everybody and more classier than everybody. Watch your back Ramona, LuAnn has had out for you since you called her out for cheating on her husband and saying that she is a weekend mother.
Once you call someone a bad mother, as Ramona did LuAnn you should already know to watch your back.
Ramona, please stop calling everyone "Sweetness". It isn't authentic and it just makes you look bad. You're probably not even aware you're doing it. I don't dislike you but you play right into the nasty folks hands sometimes.
I have noticed that you are always the last to post....could it be last to post first on list of blogs.
I do agree that Luann was childish with her set up, but you really have become a drama queen. The way you act around Heather is very wrong. Try to be nice
Setting you up with the wine tasting was classless and just "wrong". With that said, can you please just try to be nice??
Aviva is filling your head with all kinds of nonsense because she knows you'll make a big fool of yourself at the next big event. I found it interesting that Reid wanted to lay down the ground rules as soon as you walked into their condo. You were very rude by making offhand remarks about their beautiful family portraits. If you want a room that isn't personalized, go stay in a hotel. Lay off the wine Ramona. It's unlady-like to carry on like the town drunk on every episode. Heather is so above you in professionalism, manners, class, glamour, and sophistication. There isn't anything you can do about that. She has "it" and you don't.
Ramona, Mario did such a great impression of Jacque during dinner in the last episode. It was hilarious and I loved the comparison to pepe la pew. Jacque in a prior season did an impression of an Indian accent and both him and Luanne were cracking up about it... I mean does he not realize himself how strong his accent is? I found it offensive. But it felt like Mario gave Jacque taste of his own medicine when he did an impression of him!
Ramona Dearest, Just when I think it isn’t possible for her to do it again, she does. She’s relentless! How dare she and that bourgeois boyfriend of hers pull that stunt at that garish wine party he hosted? It was a faux pas of biblical proportion, but it did prove once again she has what it takes to be the assertive Funtard which she diligently professes to be this season.
Ramona, you have the sophistication and class LuAnn tried to write about but only wishes she had. And the jewelry you wore this week on the show… I assume it’s available at TrueFaithJewelry.com. It fabulous! Didn’t you say on an episode last season that you design the pieces? You go girl!
It is funny how Aviva said livelyhood, children and cant remember the 3rd marriage? shouldnt be attacked yet you have done it all
Ellen Degeneres, on her show, has had guests, sometimes blindfolded and sometimes not, and she would "test" them as well, to see if they can distinguish which one is their wine, whiskey, perfume etc. NO ONE thought it was mean-spirited. It was all in the spirit of fun. Lighten up. PLUS, you make up your own rules and don't follow anyone else's ? Please, at your age, you need to conduct yourself in a much more mature, and definitely LESS SELF-CENTERED manner. If you don't, I'm afraid high-maintenance you might be get old alone.
I agree completely!!! A LOT of shows, in the past have blindfolded taste-tests...a while ago, Regis had Robin Leach on the show to identify the Beluga caviar vs a U.S. produced version, and a sparkling wine vs. the "Dom" --- lol, he got BOTH of them wrong It was all in fun, not meant to embarrass.
And by the way.....for Mario...Jacques has that accent because he is FRENCH!
I used to feel bad for Mario, and now see that you are made for eachother! A perfect match.
@AudreyEH @balmoralgal The difference is the intent behind it. LuAnn might possibly and most probably did not have honorable intentions. Remember when Heather said she didn't care for Ramona's wine and LuAnn let out a big, huge laugh? She could have just smiled politely...
UThousewife AudreyEH balmoralgal Ramona was just bragging about how she knows her smells and wines.....and just got called out on it! How can anyone defend the queen of "Telling it Like it Is"....she can dish it but can't take it.
AudreyEH I so disagree. I think it was designed to have Ramona say something terrible about what would turn out to be her own Pinot. Grigio. Jacques and LuAnn were literally giddy with the fun, waiting for it to happen, then were abashed when it went over like a lead balloon. I think it also discredited Jacques in his own career. Bad form.
TondalayoSchwartz I don't think it went over like a lead balloon, i thought it was funny Ramona didn't think the wine was all that good on the first taste!!!
I can't believe that you are still here. I use to be an avid watcher but since you seem to have lst your senses and the new girls are not exciting at all, I just pass over the show although I catch previews once in a while. This is the only way I can see what a nut job you have turned into. Poor Mario. When is he going to call i quits.
Ramona I don't think you quite understand that you are kept on this show because of your ridiculous, pompous, and stuck-up personality. You come across very unintelligent, throwing around comments as if you were the expert of everything. You praise yourself as a successful business woman as if having a wine named after you is the highest of accomplishments. Watching you is like watching a joke in action....however, it is quite sad the lengths you go to for attention. You should read Carole's blog.....now that is an intelligent woman and Bravo has put her on the show to call it as it is.....and she does it so well.
I really do hope that this is your last season on the show. Your "Ramonacoaster" is off the tracks. It's annoying and very hard to watch.
What about, Ramona, when Reid asked you if you have had problems with any of the other wives and you said "no"...yikes!
