Bethenny Frankel Explains Why "It Felt Weird" to Swim in Her Hamptons Pool This Summer

While Bethenny Frankel made some incredible memories in her Hamptons pool this summer, The Real Housewives of New York City alum had mixed feelings about enjoying her outdoor space amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 

"It felt weird sometimes to go outside and be like, 'I'll just go in the pool,'" Bethenny, whose B Strong initiative has raised money and donated masks to those in need  throughout the pandemic, said in a recent Live With Kelly & Ryan interview. "The world's coming to an end. It feels like an apocalypse, Armageddon."

Still, Bethenny is grateful for the extra time she was able to spend at home with her daughter, Bryn, in recent months. "I had a nice summer because I was connected to my daughter so deeply and we've never had this kind of time," she said. "We surfed and we wakeboarded and skateboarded and just were free. So that was one of the most beautiful things about it — and cooking. She eats salads because she was cooking salads...That was a good part."

In addition to the pool, Bethenny spent plenty of time this summer in other parts of the home's backyard as she took in the incredible sunset view, whipped up meals in her outdoor kitchen and spent her mornings sipping coffee in her favorite poolside spot. 

Bethenny's dogs, Biggy and Smallz, also seem to be enjoying the extended time in their blissful outdoor space. In a recent Instagram Story photo of the dogs basking in the sun next to the pool, Bethenny added the caption: "Summer is not over."
