Too Revealing?

Alexis talks about the racy lingerie party, meeting Vicki, and her favorite Jeana moment from the series.

Nov 19, 2009

I was most intimidated to meet Vicki because I had been told she was a "hard person to get to know." I was afraid she would give me the cold shoulder, or ignore me. However, I was completely shocked! Vicki was nice from the beginning, shook my hand, and carried on a conversation with Jim and me.

The lingerie party was so much fun! Lots of beautiful lingerie, champagne and plenty of entertainment that night! The girls were having a blast. It's not for me to judge if anyone was 'too revealing' that night; but for me, there is a time and a place for lingerie, and that was not the time nor the place.

Regardless of what she may have said in her interview, Tamra is my friend and I do not believe she is jealous of me in any way.

I'm sad Jeana's leaving, it's always emotional to say goodbyes. Jeana needs to do what's best for her and her family and I wish her nothing but the best. My favorite Jeana moment was her road trip taking her daughter to school! It cracked me up how they fought about driving, and I can see myself going through that with one of my daughters!

Its nice to see someone who obviously loves her husband, I have been married 6 years and love my wife dearly but should show her the way you two do, as for being new to the show, I'm sure you'll fit in well, its sad that Jeanna is leaving but I wont say out with the old etc etc etc as she is a very level headed grounded person and I hope you are the same, so far you seem level headed but I reserve my vote until the end of the season..lol

Good luck on the show and remember, no matter what someone says or does, at the end of the day your a woman, wife and mother and inside your home and heart is where you live, not anothers views or actions, no matter who or how many think different

I was wondering where you got your initial signature necklace. Very pretty!

First let me say,

tonight when I heard Alexis and Jim say that they put GOD first...I was like DIZAM....finally some saved and spiritual wealthy married people, who acknowledge the imnportance of God in the marriage. With that said, Chi-town Kudos for you both and it's gonna be interesting...but I think Alexis is stealing me as her Fan Favorite! Gretchen watch out Boo (in the workds of Andy and NeNe)

Alexis, What a great life you have, that is wonderful, your children are stunning and you're very lucky to have such a loving husband.

Travling alone or with your girlfriends is fun, I really don't understand why your husband would never let you do that, its an entirely different "feel" of a vacation and can be very rejuvinating, you really should try it!

I must say that you are a servers "NIGHTMARE"! Why is it that people can't just order off the menu? Trust the bartender and trust the chef to make it delicious or don't go to that establishment. If you want such a specialized drink or meal, make it yourself at home! I know the wait staff always smiles and says "no problem", but trust me they are cursing you all the way back to the kitchen.

SO so happy that you are the new housewife I can't wait to see the rest of the season! Enjoy!

Stay true to yourself and don't let this show change you.I'm sad to see Jeana go, she had so much heart.I hope you do too because we need some with the jealousies, controllers, and animosity floating around with some of the others.

Alexis,

I had to say when I saw the clips of you I was not a fan but after last night you really changed my mind! You FABULOUS and your family is beautiful. Continue to keep God First! You are my newest fav OC housewife!!

I watched the show last night, and Loved it! Keep doing what you do! I feel it's great that a women can stay home, and want to take care of her husband! Why not? If thats what makes us happy, go for it!

What a refreshing change to this show you and your husband are. Glad there are God loving people out there on television. I was prepared to quit watching this show when Jeanna left but after seeing you and your husband on it am sure I will be watching avidly now where before every time Tamara and Vicky started their mean spewing and judgmental attitudes I turned the show off. Could you share your beauty regimen in your blog? You look great. Another stay at home Mom, who puts her Husband, family and God first.

Let me start this off by saying you are a very classy lady. I am a bit confused about what you consider to "racy". A lot of the lingerie they were showing was a lot more covering than the bikini you wore to Tamra's party. I know, I know, "but that is a bathing suit" right? WRONG. I'm not saying you're wrong for your beliefs but in my opinion they just don't mesh. It's one thing to be uncomfortable with revealing to much, but to have it mean only in regards to certain pieces of clothing is a bit hypocritical. YOU more than most of the housewives should be proud of your body. Anyone that can have the body you do after three kids should be proud to show it off. I give you mega credit for taking the time to work out like you do. I love the attitude you and your husband have about your marriage. What great parents you are to those three beautiful kids!

Jeanna will be missed and it's sad you didn't get a chance to really know her. All I'll say about the other ladies, except for Gretchen, is watch your back. They may seem like the nicest people but they will not hesitate to slip that knife in and twist it oh so subtley. Vickie especially! You seem like a very smart lady though and I'm sure you'll handle yourself just fine. Good luck on the show and welcome!!

I thought it was strange last night when you were first introduced to Vicki, she said "Welcome to my World!" It's very telling of her mentality. She may be nice to you right now, but watch out.... according to her, this show is the Vicki Show and no one else can have a starring role.

You seem lovely. It is refreshing to see a married couple so devoted. I'm curious about the 2 nannies. It seems excessive but maybe you are working.

Alexis probably won't be reading these lovely comments we all have taken the time to write.

:) Ha.

Awkward moment with Lynn.

Alexis, you are great and such a breath of fresh air on this show. I was hoping you could tell me what brand are the polka dot high chairs your girls use? They are SO cute (the girls and the high chairs)! I would like to buy one for my baby girl.

Thank you!

Alexis,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! You (and your husband) are a breath of fresh air to a show that has gone off the deep in. The backstabbing, name calling and money conquering all attitudes, were WAY to much for me to handle. I was tuning out this season. And then.... your family to the rescue!

First of all, BRAVO (no pun intended) to putting God first above all things. This is SO REFRESHING! With God, we can do all things and it is obvious that you keep this real.

Secondly, you are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, both inside and out! Please do not change or become superficial!

Your family is absolutely beautiful. Your girls are precious. You are very blessed and I look forward to seeing your journey this season.

Is it just me or did anyone else think they belong on New Jersey Housewives?

Alexis, It is so refreshing to have a "housewife" with wonderful values. I just got married and your beliefs have really opened my eyes. I am taking more time to focus on my husband and take special moments together. I also agree with your beliefs in God. You must have a strong relationship with God, before you can have a meaningful relationship with another person. You are so lucky to have such an amazing family! God Bless!

It bothered me when you were out to lunch with your Husband and he told you that you were talking too loud, etc.It wasn't what he said but the way he said it that wasn't too nice. I hope that was a one time thing!I don't like the idea of going away without my husband, but once in a while it can't be helped. He had to go away to school for a few weeks and a friend and I stayed with our friend at the shore. We didn't do anything , had dinner went to a few flea markets and talked, talked, and talked some more.Once in a while is ok, but not often and never a bar situation.

What a beautiful lady and beautiful family. Your values are right on! It's rare to hear what the order of our life should be; GOD first, family second and children third. And please, don't attempt a clothing or jewelry line just because you will be critisized for not working. You have the most important job in the world!!

However, you won't try on lingerie with men in the store, but you will in front of millions of viewers wear a itsy, bitsy, teenie, weenie…bikini? That just didn't make sense.

Good luck and I hope that the "no good doer's" will not ruin you. Hold on tight...for you are in for a bumpy ride!

Hello,

You wore a necklace a couple of times in ther first two episodes, it was a circle gold (appeared to be a monogram) can you share where etc. you found it. It was simply beautiful.

Thanks, Diann :)

Could you be any prettier? How do you do your hair? I know you work out quite a bit - do you follow a strict diet or can you pretty much eat what you want? I am looking so forward to watching more of the Housewives - this season is going to be great!! Thank you Alexis!!!!!

Alexis you are GORGEOUS! Keep up the hard work in the gym so that slammin body doesn't quit

Alexis,

By first glance anyone with eyes can see you are a knock out....but I also see a strong women with values who seems to be able to say without hesitation...."This is not my reality" I think you will be a strong addition to the show.

Hi Alexis,

Would you mind telling me where I can find that blue & pink bikini you were wearing in the episode where you are at Tamaras pool? I have looked all over the internet for it or something like it and can't find it anywhere! By the way, I'm really glad you are on the show...I think they need someone with good morals :)

I consider myself to be the #1 fan of Real Housewives of the O.C. I've watched since the very first episode and can't wait each year for the new season to begin. Jeanna was always my favorite, she just seems to have a good heart. I think that you are going to fit in perfectly. I found it fascinating to watch your family, I feel we have alot of the same interests, and it's always fun to watch someone on T.V. that one can relate to. Like you, I am an avid exerciser,I try to always look my best, and I feel its very important to have a relationship with god. Good luck this season, and The Real Housewives of the O.C. are still the best!!!!

I think you will be a wonderful and refreshing addition to the show. However, your husband seems a little demanding and critical of you. Maybe it's just me but he made a couple of snide comments when you met for lunch. And your body and facial expressions showed a little hurt.

Hope I am wrong because it appears that you are a very beautiful person inside and out. Welcome to OC!!

Hi Alexis, Can you pretty pretty pretty please tell me where you got your adorable pink and blu bkini?

Thanks!

Michelle

Very refreshing. I hope you are able to last more than 1 season with your values and morals. Bravo is more interested in drama than portraying women who are God and family focused. However, I commend you on showing that you can be beautiful and fabulous - doing it God's way!

I know you've gotten this question a million times now, but where did you get that blue and pink bikini from (the one you wore to Tamra's party). It's super cute! Love it!

Hello Alexis, nice to see you on the show. When I saw your photo I kept thinking to myself that I knew you from somewhere and I think that your daughters were in the same hospital as my son at the same time. Have fun with the show and don't get caught up in all the strife.

I think you are doing a great job as a wife and a mother. But if I may make one suggestion, you need to be a little more independent! You need to enjoy time with the girls, take trips (Without your jealous husband) and re-fuel so you can enjoy your marriage more. I think you look a little brain washed by your husband and need to be your own person, I can assure you that this will surface one day and it will blow up in your face.

To your husband - "Relax Dude" she's devoted, buy her a weekend in Palm Springs with the girls and take care of the kids for her! Stop keeping her in a family cage and let her enjoy life as a loyal wife!

Words of wisdom...

Alexis, you are beautiful! Keep being your sweet, happy self!!! Please blog about your workout regime! You inspire me!!

From the other posts it seems I am not alone in saying that it was great to see someone with a strong marriage and strong sense of self. You know who you are and you know the woman who God called you to be! Maybe you can spread some of the joy and faith around to the other ladies. God Blesses those who put him first and I was thrilled to hear your husband say those words. My husband refuses to watch the show with me, since he thinks most of the women are ridiculous but I think you might just change his mind.

I love how you workout-it's inspiring! You mentioned that Jim likes you to workout so that he doesn't have to grow old with a "frumpy wife." Will he be planning to workout at some point in his life, too? ;-)

It's wonderful that you and your husband put God first in your marriage, and it's also great that Jim is wealthy and you both can afford the luxuries of life. Be careful, though, that wealth doesn't come at a cost to you. He seems a bit controlling and I found myself cringing uncomfortably when he criticized you at the restaurant for the whole world to see, literally. Careful...

Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me who makes your turquoise bathing suit. It is gorgeous!

Hmm I just wonder, I know you're a good person n put God first, but ....hangin' out w/ the rest of the housewives is def. going to test ur limits and they're going to b a bad influence or we'll see.

By the way I don't see any responses to any comments or questions.

I loved how you refrained from trying on the lingerie in front of everyone. You go girl!

I respect what you say about there being a time and place for lingerie, but i have to agree w/ tamra that the lacy pink and blue bikini that you wore at her home was not much different than wearing lingerie, and it actually looked more like a bra and panty set instead of an actual bikini.

I JUST HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND FOR SAYING OPENLY ON TV THAT YOU PUT GOD FIRST THIS IS THE REASON WHY I FEEL DESHAWN SNOW WAS BOOTED OFF REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA SO GREAT ,GREAT,GREAT FOR YOU PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THAT EVERYONE THAT IS RICH IS NOT WICKED AND CARNAL GOD DOES BLESS HIS CHILDREN .SO THANKS FOR THAT.

i love your white gold signature(monogrammed) necklace you wore with the red dress....where did u purchase that and what is it called? thanks a bunch

I met Alexis and her charming husband Jim at Caesar's Palace last weekend. I was VERY impressed with how approachable, friendly and genuine they were! A beautiful couple! I wish you and Jim much success - it was such a pleasure meeting you and being able to talk to you about the show! Can't say enough nice things about the two of you! Hope you had a great time in Vegas!

LOVE that you and your family put God first. It's refreshing in this show! Where did you get the red dress in all the promos/La Perla pictures? It's adorable. You guys seem very level headed and strong as a family and it makes me want to watch what happens! :)

Hey Lil Lady, I think your fabulous and super classy and I love the way you add your religious view into the show and still remain unbiased.....Also, I really love your swimsuit, the one with lace outlining the triangle top, the one where you were at the blonde's house with your children, I really would love to know, if you could email me back....you look so dam great in that swimsuit...Thanks

YOU ARE SO PRETTY WISH YOU THE BEST AND HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL WITH YOU AND THE OTHER LADIES.YOU HAVE PRETTY KIDS AND YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND SEEM TO HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP AND UNDERSTANDING THATS SO BEAUTIFUL TO SEE..

Alexis,

You are just fabulous! I have to say that my best friend's family is from Hannibal, MO, so I was really excited to see when you were coming on the show that you were from there as well. It is nice to have women on the show who are as down to earth as you. Best of luck on the show and i can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!

I'm a native of CA and lived in OC for 16 years and loved it! Only left area due to a job change.

But I have a beef with BRAVO: Since so. CA and the O.C. are very ethnically diverse, why don't you have some upper-middle class Asian women, Hispanic women; etc. on your 'Housewives of OC' show?????????????? [Yes, there ARE wealthy minorities in so. CA even if some don't know of any in Omaha or Detroit!]

WHY DOESON'T BRAVO HAVE ANY OTHER KIND OF "HOUSEWIFE" OTHER THAN WHITE ANGLO???!! Living for years in that part of so. CA has given me a great respect for other groups of people, as THERE IS BEAUTY, BRILLIANCE AND YES, WEALTH TOO IN EVERY RACIAL AND ETHNIC GROUP. I heard there was briefly a "Peruvian" single "housewife" on the first season of the show but she seemed to quickly be taken off the show and replaced with blonde after blonde. Hey, Bravo, this is NOT the "Real Housewives of St. Paul, Minnesota"!! It looks very, very suspicious and even disrespectful to not represent other ethnicities/races in your OC Housewife show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Bravo! I noticed that at least three of your O.C. Housewives are actually natives of other states. I heard that Tamra, and I think Gretchen are natives of CA (born & raised) but the new gal is from Missouri and Vicki and Jeana grew up in the Upper Midwest!! (I don't know where Lynne was raised).

Why aren't you choosing O.C. CA women who were BORN & RAISED in CA?? It's very strange in my opinion. There are plenty of glamorous, CA natives who live in O.C. with whom you could choose. I just think it's strange how your show chooses these "fake Californians" to represent Orange County residents! Many born and raised natives are pretty different from others who move here (to CA) as adults.

Those out-of-staters can be very different in terms of "pace", taste in food, etc; and on views of diversity. Most of those born here in CA are faster paced than those from some other states; they tend to try/like exotic foods usually and new ideas; and native Californians are pretty tolerant of anyone from anywhwere, generally speaking! I honestly do not see those kinds of traits in large quantities from people who are, say, from the middle and southern parts of our country, generally speaking. But who does Bravo tend to recruit for the O.C. Housewives show? Mostly women who moved to CA as adults! Weird!

By the way, Jeana, though from Milwaukee seems to have lived in CA a long time because out of all the "out-of-staters" on your show, Jeana seems the MOST Californian in mannerisms and attitude! I LOVE Jeana! Too bad she's gone now.

what is she saying in her intro? "am i _____? of course i am, look at me!" i played it several times and still can't make it out. anyone catch it?
