OMG! If you follow me on Twitter (@heatherdubrow) you will already know this, but Collette FINALLY took her first steps!!! It was soooo exciting! We got it on video. The whole family was there!!! What a fantastic moment!
I want to apologize for not writing a blog for the last episode. This is such a crazy time of year with the kids and time got away from me. So I'd like to make a few comments before launching into tonight's episode.
When I watched the last episode, it struck me that the viewers will actually get to see who I am. The scenes with Terry and the kids in our home were so us. I loved them. We are silly, fun, messy, and certainly not perfect -- but we love each other so much. I love having this time in my children's lives documented like that! This is the moment in the series where I was relaxed enough and felt like myself.
The day we spent in L.A. was SO fun! We all had a great time. I loved being able to share it with Tamra and Vicki. Tamra has been so great to me since the day we met, and this was a wonderful opportunity for Vicki and I to get to know each other better. Wonderful day of food, Champs, and most importantly, friendship. I want to especially thank my dear friends Jaye and Peter Adderton for loaning us their helicopter. They are the loveliest, most generous people. We are blessed to have them in our lives. (And for those of you who asked, sorry, she is taken! My stunning friend Jaye is HAPPILY married!)
heather...Ive watched you this year and have decided that of all the housewives in all the cities, you, your husband, and family are probably the sanest and most normal of them all...congrats!
Heather, Great blog, thank you! It was positive and fun, no bashing anyone or cattiness, very refreshing. Again, THANK YOU!!!!
your whole blog pretty much was tamra tamra.boy as vicki said about tamra being up gretchens blank you are so far up t.the part where she stated being friends with gretch and starting over.you said that is what you should maybe try with lex or something like that.tamra said no and name called her again.you let tamra decide who your friends with that is scary.you better not go on camping trip all you will do is report - things to tamra.lex should stick with vicki and sarah and her true friends off camera.if you are back season 8 you will learn how things roll.

I LOVED watching you have lunch with your friends in LA a few weeks ago. You guys were a class act. It was nice to watch a group of women be friends and be supportive of each other. I'd rather watch you with them instead of some of the other "ladies" on this show.
Not sure what Piperoni's smoking, I believe you simply replied, "oh Dear," to Tamra's comment about Alexis. Anyway, you were a pleasure to watch as always Heather, and classy even with mud in your hair. Thank you for taking the time to blog!
I am obviously a housewife fan... But I truly had a hard time watching you take your husband for his wardrobe "makeover"...It is beyond tacky to put on display how much you are spending on things that ultimately mean nothing. If you need to spend that kind of money to feel good about your appearance and who you are as a person, than I think you need to rethink what is truly important and what is going on in the world around you. I am pretty sure that true dignitaries, celebrities and "billionaires" would not feel comfortable advertising how much money they spend on their clothes especially when people all over the world including our own country don't have roofs over their heads and have to watch their children go hungry on a nightly basis.
I LOVE that you have style and manners!! Watching you interact with your husband, kids and glamerous friends is what I want to see on a Housewife reality show. You really belong with the Beverly Hills Housewives (not not Taylor), but hopefully your delightful presence will elevate the other ladies to a higher standard of behavior!! TEAM FANCY PANTS!!
I love how positive you are too, Heather. Kudos to you! Also, I have to say I admire you for doing that mud run. I work out regularly but I just don't think I could run covered head to toe in mud like you guys did. You all amazed me! I'm glad you and Terry didn't go home with any injuries though. :-) Love ou and your family! I'm so glad you joined th cast. You're a refreshing change from all th cattiness we've grown accustomed to on this show.

I agree with most that Heather seems the most sane of the bunch. However, excluded Alexis IS immature and not showing class. Just sayin'
I didn't know what to think of you at first, Heather. But I've really enjoyed watching you on the show! I think it's hard to speak your mind without having the drama that comes with it, but so far, I think you've been able to find a good neutral balance with the ladies. I know we only know what we see on TV, but I was very pleasantly surprised that you participated in the mud run! You all did a fantastic job and I look forward to seeing more of you this season.
Do you read what you write? It's hard to relate to you when you mention (again) your husband's 50k wardrobe, helicopters, blah blah... So your husband dresses "poor" and you don't like mud. Amazing for us simpletons to hear - we're all poor and dumb ya know! I want to stop reading after a few sentences - to think this blog shows the real you, and you have to keep up this charade 24/7. Your behavior isn't classy, it's cold, shallow and inhuman. I don't care how nice you project yourself to be...I wouldn't use the word nice at all. Wasting a million dollars of borrowed money on a restaurant? I guess you think millions grow like grapes. Sad and pathetic, if you ask me.
Love you on the show Heather. So refreshing to have a yenta of the cast, You are a perfect fit!!! Stay true to your opinions and Mazel!!
Heather I can not believe you didn't mention alexsis at all in your blog. I was really hoping to see an apology about the way you treated her at the bunko party. Making accusations with Tamara about her surgery was wrong. It's very scary that a plastic surgeon would be so quick to act like he did about any kind of surgery. It made him look bad and very unprofessional. I hope you felt bad after watching the last two episodes actually seeing how bad her sinuses were. She needed that surgery very badly and anyone in that position would have fixed a bump at the same time if they had one. I'm guessing you didn't mention anything about Alexsis because you and Tamara both look so bad after seeing she actually did have a sinus issue. By the way be your own person not Tamaras mean and bullying friend.
I like you and Terri this week...but of course Alexis isn't there for you to trash. You understand that Tamra is yours first and Alexis knows she is the new girl to get trashed this year by potty mouth Tamra. She knows your not allowed to like Alexis per Tamra...and she is terrified of you. Look deeper Heather...be nice.
Heather I think if you are going to recap the episode you should at least ,include all the ladies. Your omission of Alexis leads me to believe that you will side with Tamra when she rags on Alexis...too bad.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that your husband has so much character to him being someone who makes more in a couple of years than many will in their entire lives. I love his sense of humor and how down to earth he is!
Bravo --- We want LESS Slade and MORE Terry!
Heather, It was very nice for you to take an active role in getting your husband some new clothes, but dont you think $50,000+ was a bit much? I think you could have accomplished the same thing at Men's Warehouse and still had money left over for lunch and ummm maybe a new car!!!!
What a breath of fresh air you are! So glad you joined the show! I love that you are yourself, and as you said, not always perfect, but REAL! Darling kids, nice nice husband, and you embrace life! And true to yourself...Good for you!!!... You are a true Real Orange County Housewife.
Cheers! Christene from the OC
You still look beautiful covered in mud! I like that you don't gossip and get mean and catty with the others. You stay classy and above the riff. We like that!
alexis did not say any thing about the mud run that heather vicki or any one els said.ankle, finger. mud in the face.is seems to not be the safest sport.people are so judgementel.be friends with who you want do not let tamra choose for you.you need to stand on your own.each wife should make there own decision and not jump on the band wagon. some wives just seem to go with if they will get higher ratings and be more popular.be you and i wish for once all the oc ladies could go on one trip together with fun and no drama or fighting or bullying.try it be kind.
I never comment on these blogs but I just have to say you are my new favorite housewife!! So witty, classy, and I love your family. Keep doing what you are doing!
Heather - I was a little unsure at the beginning, but I truly enjoy you now. I adore your husband although, not so sure that we need to worry about what he wears - he just truly seems to be a really great person - and I don't think he needs the closthes to make that happen! You both seem to be true to each other and your friendships with others as well. Such a rare thing to happen on HW series, wow!!!
Heather you are so funny.. I enjoy watching you and Terry. He seems like a real cool guy. I have to say that what he wore to the "fitting" was pretty hot! I agree with the mud run being checked off. Who would have thought all those injuries would have taken place!! I really enjoy watching you and your family. Continue to stay true to you & don't get "sucked" in the negativity.
Absolutely agree with many viewers, you are a very refreshing addition to the show. I love how you stay out of the drama and take the higher road. Your husband is a great guy & alot of fun to watch. It's nice to see two people who love each other, truly, and enjoy their family as you two do. You two are like Alexis & Jim in that respect, family first. Though Tamara has changed this season, she still throws her daggers & needs to take a step up from doing that. I like her this season and want to continue to see her be nice to EVERYONE, not just Vicki. I loved your lunch with your friends and your possible business deal. I don't think Vicki understood any of it because she really has NO true friends like you do.
Heather- You are the only reason I watch this show now. The rest of them are off their rockers! Don't let the haters get to you- you are lovely and have a wonderful husband and family. Congrats- Don't change.
xx
I am really glad you joined the show. I think your husband is funny. You two seems to balance each other out. It's nice to see. I hope you don't let the OC "girls" (clearly they're not girls but they always call themselves that) turn you into a bitter person. I like that you seem happy in your life, happy with your man, and happy with your children. It really is fun to watch.
Heather i really have a very hard time identifying with you. $50,000 on clothing????? it isn't your money i have the issue with, it's your arrogant behavior about it. you really are quite alot like what's-her-name with the $25,000 sunglasses. maybe if you had more personality watching you wouldn't feel so much like an episode of "lifestyles of the rich and famous". i think your money is your personality, and frankly i find it boring. even your blogs are boring and strangely disjointed. hmmm....i wonder what Bravo saw in you to bring you onto the show. at this point, if you don't make it to next season i won't remember your name either. please give us something to identify with. Alexis does with her christian thing, Tamra does with her working mom thing, Gretchen does with her goofy sense of humor, even Vickie has her crazy thing. you give us nothing but money. you said you never watched the show before you joined the cast so you have to realize your financial counterparts are not watching either. if that's who you're trying to identify with none of the actual viewers will want to watch you. you have to give us SOME-thing, ANYTHING! right now we're getting blah and money (which translates to more blah).
I have offically put you in the Mean Girl catagory. So petty of you not to even mention Alexis in your blog. How can you be friends with Tamara when she has nothing nice ever to say about anyone. Wait until she comes after you. Oh wait, you have money, so she'll use you until no done. She is such a user. She only befriends people with money. Watch out!!
After the chopper and the shopping episode I decided I will no longer watch this show. Heather, have you no shame? You have no class because people with real class don't brag the way you do. Your nose is too far up in the air and remember, everybody falls at one time or another. Be grateful you're blessed and stop trying to prove you're somebody you obviously are not. I would never, never allow someone like you into my group of friends.
Wow, thought I had seen it all, but really $50,000.00 for your old man to look good? That would pay for 2 years of my kids college tuition. Or imagine if you spent 1/5th of that & then donated to a food pantry, animal rescue or to a veterans group? this is one time where I have to say"CLOTHES DO NOT MAKE A MAN"! But they sure make that man's wife look like a shallow show off!
Like many have stated, you are a breath of fresh air to add to the bunch of bickering and cattiness of your other cast members. However, also agree with the other viewers ... $40,000-$50,000 is a bit much to spend on some suits. The money could have been spent elsewhere. No matter how rich I become, I would never become so materialistic. Remember one statement .. the most important things in life aren't things.
You are a breath of fresh air on this show with a lot of class. Only problem with you is, is that you appear to be petrified of Tamra. This is not the Tamra and OC Housewives. Learn now Heather that you could be the next victim with her. Every season she is bullying someone. Help her become the lady that Eddie deserves. He is amazing. Keep on doing what your doing with your family, beautiful you all are.
Heather, you seem very smart, sensible and pretty logical. So why are falling under the mean girl Tamra spell? And really, what do you have in common with her? Definitely not the education and the tackiness. Say what you want but I definitely think you prejudged Alexis, and that put her on the defensive. How does it not bother you the amount of times your buddy Tamra has called another human being stupid or dumb? Last year she referred to Alexis as a retard, twice. As the parent of a special needs child, I was beyond offended. I would think someone , like yourself, who is educated and just knows better, would be offended by her actions as well.
I thought you were a great sport to participate in the mud run. You kept your composure and didn't complain at all. When you went to lunch, you looked very relaxed and yet elegant. The dirty hair was hilarious. You hid that well by putting it up. Your husband seems very content with life in general. Your addition to the cast offsets the over dramatization of their otherwise, banal lives. The other ladies make mountains out of mole hills (especially Alexis and her nose problems). Slade is just another housewife wannabe who just takes up space and causes friction.
I second what "Kitty Cat" said! You are the only reason I watch the show! I find myself fast forwarding through Vicky and Alexis.
Girl, Do Not listen to these HATERS! Theyre just mad that you didnt start drama with Alexis., She is so not worth it! I love you and your family!

Say what you will about Heather, good or bad, she's a definite Class Act, and welcome addition to the show. Bravo Heather
