Alexis Bellino Shares an Update on Eating Disorder Battle: "It Doesn't Go Away"

The RHOC alum opened up about continuing to work through her struggles with an eating disorder.

On Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Alexis Bellino shared, "I had an eating disorder... Once you have one, you're never completely healed." In the Life After Bravo clip above, exclusive to Bravo Insider, Alexis opened up about how she has continued to work through her struggles with food and body image since that time.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

"Once you have an eating disorder, it doesn't go away," she said, explaining she "had to go through a lot of therapy." During the interview, Alexis detailed how support from her fiancé, Andy Bohn, has helped shift her mindset. "[I'm the] heaviest I've ever been and I'm with Drew and he loves everything about me," she said. "I don't look at it like that anymore. I'm 44, I'm not the perfection, you know, chiseled thing I was before. He's my biggest cheerleader and loves me for the way I look now."

"It's still there... I do check myself out, my side profile, and I'm like 'Oh, god,'" she explained. However, "I just try to push it back." She is also motivated by her kids, James, 15, and Melania and Mackenna, 13: "I just knew, having children, I had to emulate to them — I didn't want them to go through that part of a journey of life."
