That's So Rayvin: Karen and Ashley’s Gala Face Off

Bravotv.com: What were you thinking when Kal was at Gizelle’s event? What did you think of his apology?

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Potomac on Peacock and the Bravo app

Charrisse Jackson-Jordan: I pretty much assumed Kal would be at Gizelle’s event. It didn’t bother me one bit. I think he is a nice guy and was sincerely sorry for how things went at the crab boil. At this juncture in my life, I have so many other things to direct my attention to that I do not have the time nor energy to become consumed in trivial things. I see a fun guy in Kal and as a result I personally invited him to my party when I saw him.

Bravotv.com: Tell us about learning how to swim! What was it like watching yourself learn this week and what was the hardest part?  Where are you swimming skills now?

CJJ: Turning 50 has inspired me to tackle my fears and try new things. My biggest was learning to swim. Watching myself was hilarious. I was a Hot Mess LITERALLY. But, I was proud of myself for taking tackling my fear and having my kids observe as I conquered my fear of the water. The hardest part was to trust someone else with my life. OMG!I was scared as heck. After almost drowning in the past I can honestly feel good about what I accomplished. I haven’t spent a whole lot of time becoming much better due to my other fear of all insects and especially horseflies. It’s almost like they send a signal to each other that Charrisse is in the water again and they come after me every time I am in the water for more than 10 minutes. I think I will have to exercise my fitness club membership that I haven’t used in two years and take further lessons in a indoor pool. I can get from side to the other (width-wise that is). It’s not the prettiest sight but I’m not giving up.

Bravotv.com: What did you think of the Rayvin moment between Karen and Ashley?

CJJ: The moment with Karen and Ashley in regards to Rayvin was overkill. Why Karen feels that Ashley is not worthy of being around her daughter is mind-boggling. Rayvin is a very intelligent and wise young lady that has her head on right and doesn’t appear to be easily influenced by anyone. The whole disagreement was all about nothing. Little Ms. Ashley is doing her thing as a business woman and has a lot to offer any young person. My daughter and her friends love Ashley because she is relatable. Perhaps some of the more seasoned ladies, too, can learn a thing or two from our Pageant Princess.

Bravotv.com: Why did you think the ladies should apologize to Karen after her confrontation with Ashley about Rayvin?

CJJ: I felt the ladies should apologize to Karen because anytime you come into someone’s home and something is done to clearly upset them an apology is in order whether its miscommunication or whatever. Karen graciously opened her home to us and as friends we shouldn’t be that disrespectful especially at an event that was in memory of her mother-in-law. The issue should be resolved at a later and more suitable time. And we know it will be brought up again, and again, and most likely AGAIN! Lol!
