PCOSed Off

Stacy explains why she got so frustrated and introduces us to her inner warrior, Enrique

Oct 5, 2010

This week was like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on steroids minus the chocolate. Our baseline workout was easy enough, and for once I was able to keep up and keep Joe quiet. I think he was just shocked that it was Nikki making all the noise in the gym for once. It was time I passed that baton on anyway, I'm glad she's twirling it around with gusto.

I think Joe might have a secret lust for Nikki or something along those lines because he seems so fixated on all the "attention" she gets. With what Nikki says she likes in men, I don't think that Joe stands a chance anyway, but it's nice to have something entertaining to watch when you work out.

Is it just me or does Joe hate women in general (especially Jackie)? There's a huge disconnect he seems to have with all things female -- plus it doesn't help him that he looks like a constipated unattractive Rocky. It's called Metamucil, I advise a Costco size bottle and a muzzle. Watch the "women" flock to you.

I was hoping to be inspired by the show and the participants..I understand some of the set backs. To be given an opportunity with Jackie Warner and after 5 weeks people gained weight! Needless to say NOT inspiring..I am struggling to lose on my own utilizing the gym & bodybugg program. It is frustrating to see individuals given a once in a lifetime opportunity & NOT give it their all...As for Nikki & Jeana PLEASE start trying or let someone else who wants to change their life a shot!

I have POSC and ive lost 70lbs in the past year. you need to stop making excuses and just do it! eat clean and excercise! it's that simple! you'd see results if youre really sticking to what jackie says!

Agree with "no need for excuses"

You had it coming Stacy. BTW, everyone keeps talking about "working their ass off." Unless you are running for hours and hours per day, working out has very little to do with losing weight. It's 90 % diet. If you don't stick to the diet 100 % you will never lose the weight.

Will you still be able to drink Jackie's fruit/protein shakes now the md has advised you to avoid simple sugars, as in fruit? Has it got to be all spinach now???? A spinach shake...mmmm!!!

I'm sad that you keep using PCOS as a crutch. If you followed the diet and the workouts, you'd see better results but clearly you are not. It's harder to lose weight with PCOS but not as impossible as you make it seem.

Amen. The weight loss will get even easier when your body has less fat messing with your hormones and a lot of women with PCOS are less symptomatic at healthy body fat% because so much of it is tied in with wrecking your body with bad food choices!

Control your insulin with exercise and a good diet and watch your old fatself melt away. The excuses are really insulting to those of us who have lost weight with PCOS!

Being scared of change and ashamed of failing at something doesn't give anyone the right to lie or treat others like they're stupid. If anything it looks like someone has been lying to themselves so long and hard it has splashed over to lying to those around them. Your funny fatgirl coping techniques won't work against people who have helped women sicker and fatter than you get well!

It will get easier if you let it. :)

Thank you. i don't know why my doctor didn't tell me what your doctor did. Now i know that i can only eat around 1000 calories, and exercise my butt off to see dramatic weight loss. i have had trainers yell at me too. It is frustrating. Keep up the good work. You have inspired me!
