See the Gorgeous Engagement Ring João Franco Gave Fiancé Michelle Dicu
The Below Deck Mediterranean bosun proposed to longtime girlfriend Michelle Dicu with a beautiful halo diamond ring.
João Franco is engaged! The Below Deck Mediterranean bosun found his sailing mate for life, Michelle Dicu, and recently popped the question.
João announced the happy news in an Instagram post on March 6, along with a couple of pics of the happy pair and a close-up look at the beautiful engagement ring. The dazzling bauble features a halo round cut diamond with a twist pavé band featuring smaller diamonds.
In the series of pics, João included an adorable snap of the couple in front of a cascading waterfall while rocking matching bright swimsuits. In another snap, Michelle showed off her new bling as the couple posed for a sweet selfie while both wearing navy tops. (Nothing says love like matching ensembles, right?)
"The most incredible feeling I have ever felt was when she said yes. I’ve never felt a happiness so true and I fall in love with her over and over again, every day," he captioned the sweet post. "Here is to the rest of our lives by each other’s side."
It appears João popped the question in his home country, Zimbabwe, where the couple visited earlier this year during their trip around Africa.
João met Michelle in August 2018 when he decided to get his teeth bleached in New York City for the Below Deck Med Season 3 reunion, he told The Daily Dish during an interview in July 2019. Michelle just so happened to be the dental hygienist who performed the procedure.
A few months later, the pair reconnected in Florida where João was based at the time. In fall 2018, João officially publicized their relationship on Instagram, and well the rest is history.
