There are a few things that notoriously lead to drama on Below Deck Mediterranean charters: the slide, preference sheets, and beach picnics. Finally, on the show's September 6 episode, Malia White explained exactly why taking guest meals to the beach always causes such a stir.

"Beach picnics are just difficult to pull off in the Med," the bosun shared in an interview. "You get these, like, rocky sands. You know, on this boat, we've got one tender to shuttle everything in and out. Logistically, they can just be a nightmare."

Despite the obstacles, Malia was confident in her team's ability to pull off the meal successfully. "At this point in the season, deck crew is a full-on machine," she declared.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Malia weighed in on another buzzed-about topic this season, chef Mathew Shea's frustration over having to cook crew lunch on drop-off day. "Why do you think Mat was so shocked when he was asked to cook crew lunch? Even on an off day isn't that a part of every yacht chef's job description?" Andy Cohen asked while reading a viewer's question. Malia replied: "It's definitely something every chef has to do... I think he was just shocked... I think maybe he thought during filming, things would be different, but it's not."
