Below Deck Med's Chef Mila Kolomeitseva Explains Her Culinary Background in Newly Resurfaced Video
Below Deck Mediterranean Chef Mila Kolomeitseva makes the case in her own words.
Below Deck Mediterranean introduced viewers to a female chef for the first time in franchise history: Mila Kolomeitseva. While her debut broke that new ground, her culinary performance on the yacht has not gone flawlessly, according to her critics. Exhibit A: steak licking. Exhibit B: taco shells.
Now, Mila is explaining her culinary experience and training — in her own words, in significant detail — in a video she created to submit for a competition, newly resurfaced on Reddit.
In the five-minute clip, Chef Mila sells her skills to her viewers. "Hey, guys, I'm Mila, and food is the love of my life," she begins. "My culinary journey started in Siberia in my grandmother's kitchen, and continued to Hong Kong later on, where I lived for a few years and got totally obsessed with Asian food..."
Eventually she gets to the part of her training that so impressed Captain Sandy Yawn off the bat. "After learning from my travels and real life experience, I went back to school: Le Cordon Bleu Paris — and I just can't wait to show my skills to you!"
In the video, she takes viewers through a shrimp-cooking demo.
