Kate Chastain's Outfit Has Her Saying "I Don't Even Know Who I Am Anymore"
Don't worry, the chic Below Deck alum is "still drinking champagne" though.
Kate Chastain's self-quarantine looks a little different than you might expect. The Below Deck chief stew braved an 18-hour road trip to self-isolate at her parents' picturesque home in Florida (complete with stunning morning views and a trunk full of disinfecting wipes and rosé) and it's clear that the change in locales is shifting her style. Though we normally see Kate in only two modes — full red carpet glam or in her yachtie uniform — she is embracing a new, more laidback aesthetic nowadays and it's taking even her by surprise.
Like all of us, Kate is coping with her new everyday life amid self-quarantine as best she can. According to her most recent Instagram post, she's traded in her "Barbie Chief Stew" ensembles for a more humble outfit choice and she's not quite sure how she feels about it. "It wasn’t until I wrapped a scarf around my head like a turban/ put on overalls to go plant some new ferns and flowers," she begins her caption, "that I passed a mirror and realized......I don’t even know who I am anymore."
In the sun-lit bathroom selfie, Kate nonchalantly poses while wearing a pair of distressed denim skirt overalls with a casual white t-shirt and a low-key updo. Her blonde strands are neatly pulled back in a low style with a patterned silk scarf pulling double duty as a headband.
How else would the glam yacht pro accessorize her look than with massive sunnies and a glass of champagne? "(Honestly I just decided on the overalls so I wouldn’t have to wear a bra and I’m still drinking champagne so I guess I haven’t gone full green acres yet)," she wrote.
