Here's The Uncomfortable Truth About Bella Hadid's Met Gala Look
Bladder control has never been so glamorous.
It's a good thing that guests at the 2017 Met Gala were only using the bathroom to smoke—because that's about all that Bella Hadid could manage in her Alexander Wang cat suit. (TMI?) The model, who stole the show in her beaded, skin-tight look, opened up to British Harper's Bazaar about the sort of uncomfortable truth behind the headline-grabbing ensemble.
"I couldn't pee because I was sewn in from the top," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter told Harper's. "I put my foot in the wrong part of the leotard at one point, so I had to take it off and put it back on again. It was hassle, but worth it." Worth it indeed! Who on earth could take their eyes off this vision?
Bella also has a special relationship with the designer, who created the look especially for her. "[He] made just one piece for me and didn't really give me a choice," Bella told the mag. "Once I put it on, I loved it. He knew I'd be worried to wear it, but he wanted to put me in that piece so I obviously wasn't going to say no to him. I trusted him and we worked it out together."
The two even bonded with a pre-red-carpet beauty ritual on the evening of the gala, cozying up together over golden face masks. And that's only fitting: Bella certainly was the gold standard for sizzle that night.
